Do I Have Testicular Cancer

Do i have testicular cancer at 16?!?

Ok heres the problem... about a year and a half ago i started noticing large vein-like lumps in my left testicle, some long soft parts that can be moved and other round, harder parts- the lump/s is around 1 inch x 2cm, so very big.

I have just started noticing the lumps again because of an ache that has returned after a year. The teste is less descended than the right one, and i do not have any problems with my semen or any discharge etc. The lumps are most noticible when standing, and i have no 'pain' in my groin.

I have put off visiting a GP because i fear bad news :/ Only INFORMED answers please, thanks (:

Im 14 do I have testicular cancer?

So I was feeling down in my pants like young teens like us do and I feel these so grain of sand like lumps on my testicle. 1 on the left and 1 on the right. They don't hurt and they're movable. They only hurt when you mess with them a lot. I'm scared as **** and I need somebody to help me out because my parents can't bring me to the doctor right now!!!

How can I tell if I have testicular cancer?

If you are a male, age 15 - 35, you should be mindful of how your testicles feel. Since we wash them in the shower, that’s a good time to check - maybe every month or two, just give them a once-over. Testicular cancer almost always presents as a mass on the testicle. It is usually painless when you squeeze it (but there may be some pain from putting pressure on the adjacent normal testicle while you’re doing this).Be aware that the epididymis sits just at the upper end of the testicle and is the collecting system for all the small ducts through which the sperm travel to the vas deferens. This is normal. (It may be inflamed and swollen once in a great while - and is virtually always tender in that state (a condition called epididymitis)). In its normal state, it feels like a non-tender mass, so don’t confuse it with a testicular mass. That’s a good reason to check yourself regularly, so you are familiar with what things normally feel like.Although it’s the most common cancer in men in this age group, it’s still relatively rare, with only 8800 cases expected this year. It is 99% curable if caught early (95% overall), so if you do discover a persistent lump, have your doctor look at it.Rarely, extragonadal germ cell tumors (that look like testicular cancer under the microscope) arise in locations beyond the testicle, so there’s not much you can do to detect those. These are so rare, however, that I’ve seen less than 50 in my entire career.DIAGRAM OF THE MALE GENITOURINARY TRACT (note the epididymis draped over the top of the testicle)

I have testicular cancer, what should I do?

get a second opinion, as much for different treatment options as to ensure the correct diagnosis.saving some sperm may also be a good idea in case you want to have children with your dna and the treatment you choose may prevent you from fathering your own children.read up on the locations with the highest rate of success surpassing the five year threshold. some centers are better than others because they may have a particularly gifted doctor, department head, and/or staff.write a will, just to be on the aafe side.start eating as healthy as you possibly can, everyday, every meal.get good via practice or classes on the ability to create positive mental imagery. pro athletes and others spend time visualizing success because it works. your mind, in conjunction with the treatment you undergo, and your belief in a positive outcome, can all work together to help your immune system destroy that shit…. learn visualizations that make your body one very unwelcome and hostile host to cancer.make sure you get good rest every night…. a rested body is a stronger body.go to a support group to deal with the fear, frustration, and anger as it comes up…. don’t let that shit weaken your ability to fight back.get rid of any idea that pot cures cancer, because it doesn’t. it can help with a lack of appetite, pain, anxiety, and nausea…. but it will not cure testicular cancer…. do not go down that rabbit hole.set a goal that will take ten years to achieve, and then achieve it. good luck to you, my friend.

How do i tell my gf i have testicular cancer?

If you have testicular cancer, tell her straight.

If she loves you, she's never going to say 'I'm glad you didn't tell me sooner'.

If she doesn't, better you find that out now.

Testicular cancer is easily treated and cured if caught early. As for being less of a man, having a testicle removed doesn't affect your sexual performance in any way, and will not prevent you from being a father.

My father had testicular cancer at 29; he had the affected testicle removed and radiotherapy. He went on to father three more children and lived for another 47 years, dying of something unrelated to cancer.

How do I bring up that I might have testicular cancer to my parents?

I know having any sort of lump or problem down there can be both scary and embarrassing. If you haven’t already you need to immediately tell your parents. There are many things it can be but this really needs to be proven that it’s not testicular cancer. The reason you need to move quickly is due to how fast some cancers can grow and spread. Testicular cancer is one of the most treatable cancers and carries a very good prognoses as far as treatment and cures when found early. Even advanced stages are good prognosis typically. The faster you can get to your doctor and get your ultrasound the better. They’ll know immediately following your ultrasound what it most likely is. Do you have any aching or pain?Telling your parents is the most important thing you can do in your life right now. Here’s how you can initiate this conversation with your parents. It may be more comfortable talking about it with your dad but either one will do.Tell them you were taking a shower and washing down there when you noticed something wasn’t right and you found a lump that needs to be examined by your family doctor. As soon as you tell them this they will guide you from there. It’s really simple as that. Don’t be afraid or embarrassed, you’ve got this! I’ll be praying for you and really hope it’s just something benign like a cyst or something. Also, please let me know if I can answer any other questions. I was diagnosed with testicular cancer about a month ago now and they removed my testicle. Please keep us posted and move fast!

Warning signs for testicular cancer?

No idea, but just in case - Try Vitamin C therapy. A few years ago a cancer researcher came out with a paper saying that the best cancer and infection fighter as yet found was Interferon, but, at the time, it cost $15,000 a gram. The good part was that Interferon was a product of the natural breakdown of Vitamin C in your system. Shortly after that paper came out the FDA tried to make Vit C by prescription only. Guess why? The FDA says that the RDA for Vit C is 64 mg a day, just enough to prevent scurvy. Linus Pauling, who got a Nobel Prize for his work with Vit C and a second Nobel Prize for organic chemistry, said 1000 mg a day as a minimum and 2000 mg a day if you are sick. On a personal note, I was sick twice a year, for 2 weeks at a time, for 20 years, and was flat on my back for at least a week each time. To this day the doctors have no idea what the problem was. After I gave up on the doctors I tried Vit C. I took enough to keep from being sick and just below too much to get diarrhea. It followed a bell curve over 2 weeks with a peak at 40,000 mg a day – about 300,000 over the 2 weeks. I was not sick for those 2 weeks and after a couple of years of that I have not been sick since. I did not dissolve my kidneys, as some doctors said would happen. I did not get any calcium build up or stones and did not dissolve my cones or solidify my joints. Try it, but drink a lot of water – Vit C is a natural diuretic.
