Walmart background check and drug test, How long do you think it takes before you get a call for orientation?
I went in last Wednesday and did the drug test the same day and they said they will call me after my background/drug test was complete, its already been 3days and im wondering how long will it take until they call me in for orientation so I can began work. Im not worried about anything showing up in either one of them so I know that shouldn't be a problem. But im just trying to get closure or an idea and I also been calling and the department hasn't been answering the phone... so what should I do? just wait or keep calling everyday?
Will I be able to pass the Drug screen, Physical, and Background check for Ford Motor Company?
Usually the physical is just a formality and if you've managed to get to this part of the hiring stage the chances are you already have the job just try to be patient and take a breather , try to stay relaxed.One thing you really have going for you is your age bec some companies like taking young ppl and their fresh minds minds and training them , plus young minds tend to learn faster and have a high creativity side.Also once you work for a company like that you can establish a great life bec it offers you a chance to save your cash and to build a true start to your working part of your life. It must be quite exciting and I can remember the feeling knowing the job pays well and I've got a real chance at getting it etc.My gut usually told me when I'd get the job and mostly I knew even before applying for the jobs bec to me it's really all about your attitude and capabilities.Self confidence is good but not being over confident helps a lot too.My main concerns when applying for any job was really if not only the pay was good enough but if I'd personally like the job.I strongly believe that you should like your job bec you tend to thrive much better and also you tend to live a over all happier personal/family/work life. Pre-employment Physical Ability Test?
For this job I am applying for, they do a drug test/background check and if you pass them, you move onto a Physical Ability test. The HR lady told me a lot of people think they have the job but they fail the PAT test. Anyone have any tips for me? I might be taking mine later next week or the week after depending on how long it takes to get the DT/BG results,. I'm applying for a "warehouse worker" position in a distribution center. Test is something like you step up and down on this stepper for 3 minutes and they have to check your blood pressure and/or heart rate. If its too high for your age group, you fail and you cannot retake it and you will not get the job. I'm 18 years old, I don't exercise that much but I'm not too out of shape. I'm not fat but I am a little worried about this. I plan on exercising a bit before I have the test, eating healthier, etc. Anyone done this before or have any tips?

As an attorney, I've conducted many background checks. It doesn't normally take very long but that depends upon the third party vendor pepsi decides to hire. The fact that you have taken the drug test does not mean you are 'out of the woods' just yet. As I indicated, third party vendors may take a while. Having said all of that, I think you should be okay. You do not have a felony conviction for a violent crime or a threat to security. I am an attorney in Jacksonville Florida.

A pre-employment test consists of urine/drug sample, vision test and a general checkup with the doctor. If you weight was a concern, you wouldn't have gotten this far, you would have been automatically denied.

Could you fail a pre-employment physical for being pregnant?
ok so of course im pregnant 19 weeks to be exact. I applied for a part-time CNA position jus so i could have some extra money in my pocket while attending school. I took a drug test and past, my background check and references all cleared... but now i have a pre- employment physical to undergo. Im afraid they will deem me unfit for the position because i am pregnant. If eventhough I am pregnant yet physically fit for the job... can they still fail me just for that reason. My urine test has already been submitted so i kno its not just a urine sample type of test. I know a couple women who have worked as cna's while pregnant and was completely fine... furthermore the facility i applied for is an all lady nun retirement home... wherr most of the sisters there are in their 80s and 90s..... Do you think there is a chance i can still be denied employment :-/
