Do I Have To Pay When I Wasn

Why do I have to pay child support when I have never had DNA testing nor have I ever met or been in contact with or had any relationship with the alleged child?

My ex-wife and I got divorced when my son was 4 yrs old and I was in the Army. I had visitations to a point. The judge informed me that my child support would be $168. a WEEK! I got on the bad side of the judge when I ask, “Why so much?” He motioned me to step forward and placed his hand over the microphone and said, “Sergeant, You have a room, food and clothing that the Army gives you. You will pay the support for your son to have the same.” That judge died a few years later! I paid on him without regret until he turned 18 all through AFDC and it came straight out of my military pay without me seeing it. My visitation lasted til my Ex-wife met a real loser and moved to another state without notifying me. That was about two years later! I tried to find him through the courts and since I was paying through AFDC [a federal agency] the court told me, through my Attorney, that she would have to O.K. AFDC to give me her address. I found out when he was 18 where he was and went through family court for a ‘TERMINATION OF CHILD SUPPORT’ motion. When we went to court he was there. He told me that his mother had told him that I was killed in Vietnam. Since he received the summons to appear, he and his mother have not spoken. After court, I found out that I had a grandson and my grand daughter was on the way. We have gotten closer over the years, my son, his wife, my grand kids and now a great grand son. I met my Ex once lately and her response was, “Why couldn’t you let it be and stay DEAD TO US!!!”SHE’S A REAL BITCH from HELL !!!

Who pays my deductible when my car accident was not my fault?

Good God, you're getting a lot of wrong answers.

"In an insurance policy, the deductible (North American term) or excess (UK term) is the portion of any claim that is not covered by the insurance provider. It is the amount of expenses that must be paid out of pocket before an insurer will cover any expenses."

Read that. Read it again. It should be blindingly clear.

So, as you can see, the deductible is paid out of pocket before your insurance, or their insurance, does anything.

YOU MUST PAY IT.

Depending on the result of the accident, you MIGHT be reimbursed an amount that will cover your deductible, but until that happens, it still must come out of your wallet.

For example, if it's a 300$ accident, and your deductible is $500...you're paying the whole $300.

If it's $600? Then they'll give you $100, AFTER you pay the $500.

Which is why it never pays to have a high deductible.

Can you make an employee pay out of their own pocket if their cash drawer is short for the day?

they can NOT take a deduction from wages and asking the employee to pay it in cash is ILLEGAL because it is an attempt to circumvent the law....
http://www.dir.ca.gov/dlse/FAQ_Deduction...

most of this question is IRRELEVANT in regards to your original question about cash shortages.
most of the issues you have here are a matter of policy and the employer needs to be notified so they may deal with it.
your wife needs to bring all these issues to the district manager or the corporate HR department, they will NOT be happy with a GM putting the company in the position of breaking labor laws as well as the obvious lack of professionalism.......
if this GM violates labor laws the company could be fined and even if she feels they don't have an open door policy, in a case such as this they will.
if she does NOT speak up and talk to someone higher up the chain of command the problems can NOT be resolved.
even going to the state concerning the violation of California Wage Orders won't do much for her if she has not brought this problem to the employers attention first.

My car is under warranty do i still have to pay for labor to get it fixed?

My door on my car is broken so i took it to the dealership to get it fixed, they couldn't fix it that day cause they had to order the part. I asked how much it was going to be any they said it was under warranty so i dont have to pay for anything. But is that just for the part do i still have to pay for labor? Or is it actually all free?

Do I have to pay bills that my home builder sent me 2 months after we closed.?

Get an attorney. If you paid the builder, but he did not pay the contractors that worked on their home, they may put a lien on your home. If you ever decide to sell the home, those liens will have to be satisfied before you can get clear title.

Do I have to pay for a car's diagnostic check if the repair shop can't fix the car? They said it would be $93 for the check but then said the car wasn't fixable.

Do I have to pay for a car's diagnostic check if the repair shop can't fix the car? They said it would be $93 for the check but then said the car wasn't fixable.Did you agree to pay it before the owner of the shop paid his people to look at your car? (If you signed a work order…you did agree).Would you be okay if someone asked you to do a bunch of work, but then decided not to pay you for it?I get it, it sucks to have car problems and it sucks that they can get really expensive, sometimes too expensive to fix. By diagnosing those problems takes skills (acquired at expense) plus time (that somebody pays for).Sometimes shops will give free estimates. Other shops will apply a diagnostic fee to the charge for the work to be performed (thus making the diagnosis seem to be free). That is up to them and to you to negotiate. However, if you agree to pay for something (which in this case I am pretty sure you have) then you need to pay for it.Now, my only caveat would be what does “not fixable” mean? I mean EVERY problem is fixable, some just cost more than they are worth to fix. I think the only leg you have to stand on here is to say “look, I understand that you think it is cost prohibitive, but in order to justify a diagnostic fee, I think it only fair that you provide the EXACT problem and a reasonably accurate estimate of what it would cost to fix. If they are unwilling to do that, then they did not really earn their diagnosis fee. That done, case closed, strike the gavel.

Do i have to pay back money of I was overpaid?

Maybe. You would have to check the laws in your state. Under most conditions you would be required to pay back the money. However, a person is required to exercise due diligence in attempting to recoup what is there's. This includes acting within a reasonable amount of time. And, ten months *may* be too long to be considered reasonable.

Of course, the overpayment was a mistake on their part. They gave you the money in exchange for your services -- even though the amount they gave wasn't what they originally intended to give. So, your keeping the money is not theft. That makes it a tort and not a criminal offense. Their only real remedy would be to sue you for the money. How likely do you think it would be that they'd bother pursuing civil action for $150.00?

There's a *chance*, I suppose, they could turn it over to a collection agency, and you'd have to deal with the hassles involved with that. But, again, for $150.00, if they can find an agency even willing to purchase a debt in that amount, they're not likely to give you very much hassle before abandoning it.

I wouldn't necessarily act on this: But, I'd be willing to bet my house that if you ignored them, you might get a couple of phone-calls, receive a letter or two asking for payment, and then never hear from them again. For $150.00 it won't take very long at all before they're likely to just write it off as bad debt and drop the whole thing. Remember, all the effort they put into getting the money from you, they're PAYING someone to put forth that effort. $150.00? It's not going to take very long before they decide they're spending more money than it's worth to try and get the cash from you.
