Do I Look Like A Rockabilly Girl

Rockabilly?

fitting rolled up jeans, pencil skirts, capris work too. shoes? just go with flats.... think 1950's. best thing to do is google rockabilly fashion. you'll find a ton of sweet sites that sell cool clothes that should give you some ideas. ps.;.. its all in the hair. your hair has to match your clothes, or you're not complete. try some victory rolls in your hair, check youtube for those tutorials.

Why do so many girls involved in rockabilly, punk, and goth subcultures dress like Bettie Page?

I don't get why so many girls dress like Bettie Page now. I go to a rockabilly show and there are dozens of chicks dressed like her! She was a sex symbol over 50 years ago, most well known for have been considered kind of a whore in her time, but nothing she did is all that risque by today's standards, and she became very religious before she died. I don't understand the popularity of the look! Why? I understand wanting to pay tribute to the 1950's but I don't see the point in looking like Bettie Page. Why don't girls aim to look like other retro stars, Jayne Mansfield was much hotter. I don't think Bettie Page really symbolizes seduction or empowerment. I never found her attractive and it kind of sucks not being able to find a rockabilly girl who doesn't look like that!

Do girls like rockabilly guys?

ive changed my style a little the last few months to a greaser/rockabilly guy. Ive noticed that ive been getting more looks from girls lately and want to get a woman's thought/answer about, if they find my style appealing to them and if women find me intimidating to talk to.

What is it with rockabilly girls and cherries?!?

Reminder of what they lost so so long ago.

What are the differences between rock 'n' roll and rockabilly?

Rockabilly is CW, based on boogy woogy. When it became obvious that that R&R was here to stay, many C&W stars recorded Rockabilly in a desperate attempt to remain stars. The same applies to many ballad singers who began releasing singles with titles like, “Rock & Roll Waltz”, “My Boogy Woogy Country Girl”. With all the changes to Rock, Chuck Berry- Little Richard- Beatles- Rolling Stones-Heavy Metal etc, Rockabilly and Boogy Woogy have barely changed.

Rockabilly Girls without Tattoos or piercings?

Do you think, girls who dress like that without tattoos or piercings are boring?
I have 3 regular piercings in each ear, but that's as far as I'll go?
I want to change my style, after my weight loss.
I used to dress like that before, but not anymore cause close don't fit errr.

The L.A Rockabilly scene and why it's sucks!?

well for some odd reason, all the fat girls in the world wanna be a Rockabilly, and it's just WRONG. Pin Ups were "big" but in the right places and had really tiny wasits. if anything, it just gives Rockabilly a bad name and a bad image. At least for emo's you can't even SEE them much less see if they're cute or not. I live here in CC, Texas and every now and then i'll see a girl with bettie page bangs(like myself) but ironically, they're all fat, ugly, and have a questionable outward apperance. i listen to cock sparrer, rob zombie, the cramps and the yeah yeah yeahs. i may dress like a "Rockabilly" but i've always steered clear of labels. i am who i am and i dress how i want. some people say i look cute and others ask why do i dress like how i do. i always wear tight, pencil skirts, hate jeans, and wear a little bow in my hair that i made. i like to design my own clothes and what i wear is how i express myself. if people don't like it....well i don't really give a f***.
i like the 50s, the 70s, and the 80s. i like past decades and have NEVER classified myself as anything. the sad thing is though, all the Pin Ups we have now are horrible. where is the beauty, the lushfulness, and the sex appeal? playboy is better than hot rod deluxe nowadays. i would love to be a Pin Up, just to give something to take it back to when beauty was NOT about being "proud" to be fat.

and the outsiders WAS a good book but i like stephen king better;)

How do I get this girl that likes me to hook up with me at a party?

“Should I just ask her to go to a bedroom?”What the hell is wrong with you?!Seriously, what the hell is wrong with you?!Do you stop to think how what you say might sound to other people? If you do, and this sounded good to you, forget about this girl. You’ll just ruin your chances and look like an ass in the process.OK, now that you know just how moronic you sounded, let me explain why. What girls hear when that question is asked sounds like this:“Hey, can you fuck me real quick so I can try and score with Megan or Kelsey or maybe Susan before the party’s over and then brag about it all over the school for a couple months?” #douchebagYeah, that should charm the pants off of her real quick…Right, since you asked what do you do (although the don’t part is far more important BTW), here’s that too.First, tell her you’d like to talk to her and if you two could go somewhere more quiet. If she says no (YES, she might even if she does actually like you. If this was simple, you wouldn’t need my guidance, would you?), then say OK and be on your way. You’re not getting anywhere that night, give it a few days. If she says “Later”, give it cca half an hour.If she agrees, you’re half-way there. Trust me, she knows what you’re really asking her. When you’re alone, tell her why you like her. Do NOT open with the words “I like you”. You start with telling her why you like her (You have reasons, right? Right? No? Then what the hell are you bothering me for?! Find a girl you DO like, then come talk to me!)Then you tell her “So, that’s why I like you. I mean, like like you. And I was wondering… Do you like me?”.Though I encourage you to use your own words. If you just copy mine, you’ll sound fake and rehearsed. And besides, this girl likes you, not me ;)Best of confidence!

When girls ask, should you say they look better with or without makeup?

I will assume you want the diplomatic, relationship-friendly response, and that you’re not trying to steer behavior. That would be a slightly different question.Even the world’s most beautiful women look better with well-applied cosmetics. If a woman seems to look better without makeup, usually it is because it’s misapplied, or over applied, or applied in stylistic way evocative of a subculture that does not conform to her admirer’s taste (e.g., Goth, 40s vintage, Rockabilly).Women know the reality, and when we ask this question (we shouldn’t; it’s not fair), we’re looking for assurance that we still look pretty without it.The safe answer is to refuse to state a preference: “I like you both ways. You look beautiful in your own skin, which not a lot of women can say, and you don’t need makeup—but I also love it when you glam up, because you’re so good at it and you look really hot.”Another variation: “You always look beautiful to me. I don’t always notice whether you’re wearing it.”I’d then try to wrap up that conversation. A woman who hangs on like a pitbull until you state a preference is setting you up. This is like asking “Where am I on the 10 scale?” Or “Am I as pretty as [other person]?”If you have been asked this question by a non-romantic prospect, then you can be a little more candid. But still consider the person’s sensibilities—i.e., do you know this woman to be someone who can cope with unflattering truths? It hurts to be told that you look better with 10 products applied, even though we know deep-down it’s true, or we wouldn’t spend money on those products. People sometimes ask for the brutal truth but then, without meaning to, hold it against you. Tell a girl bluntly that she looks better in makeup, and she may share the story bitterly for the rest of her life.If you think someone’s makeup is over the top: “I prefer to see the real you. Last time I saw you without makeup I was extremely impressed.”If you prefer her “done” face: “Every woman looks better with makeup, even naturally stunning women, so my answer to you is the same as it would be for Karlie Kloss.”
