i really think you can pull it off. just don't dye your hair too dark like ashleys. also, when they cut your hair like that, the stylist will usually us a razor and that'll give you split ends in the long run so if you do decide to cut your hair like that, ask the stylist to use thinning sheers instead to avoid spit ends!

For your modesty you may like to blurt out your face if that makes you comfortable. :)Really if I were you I would find photos you like and take them to your barber. Also the thing with barbers is a lot of them are stuck in their routine. Not that this is a bad thing. Some barbers are constantly doing a lot of professional and business haircuts, so you may not be getting a stylish cut you want.I woukd definitely seek out a stylist. Probably a stylist in a trendy area. Ask for the manager of the salon or a stylist who can do a consultation for you first. I believe that way you get the best results. This way they can see your hair and figure out which product will work best for you.Really from your description if you were my client I would want to do a super cool edgy gender fluid hair cut on you. Only if you were ok with it. As I think even though it is gender fluid it looks great on on men. That or maybe and edgy low maintenance messy spiky type cut. Like wet a mess and some product.

Umm I'm assuming you are a guy so: For heart shaped faces I suggest a fohawk, or a short combover If you have a wide face just crop your hair really short, like a buzz cut If you have an oval face you can do a buzz cut, long shaggy hair, or even a combover
Will emo hair look good on me?
I am into emo style, I love the music, the personality associated with it, but I never had the guts to have the awesome hair, mostly because I don't think it would suit my face. I'm a girl (duh). My nose is a bit large (this is what worries me the most, because most emo kids that I know, or in photos have small pretty noses), and it has a tiny bump on it. I think my best feature is my mouth, because I have a nice smile and shaped lips. My eyes are of a quite dull and dark brown, but the black eye liner brings them out quite well. My eyebrows tend to get problematic when I don't fix them regularly, because they are naturally thick and enhance my nose. My skin is not very light (I'm Portuguese, so definitely not dark enough to be considered Latina, but not Caucasian white either). Oh and my hair is dark brown but I wouldn't mind dying it black or doing some highlights. Opinions anyone?

Does pale skin look good with black hair?
I'm very pale and currently my hair is my natural shade, light brown with hints of red and blonde. I like to dye my hair all sorts of colors, both extreme and normal, but I've never dyed it black. I've always wanted to, but I'm afraid it will look bad on me and black hair dye is pretty hard to get out. I keep on thinking of doing it and every time I see a picture of someone with pale skin and black hair (Joan Jett, Dita Von Teese, Frances Cobain) it makes me want to do it even more. If it helps any, my hair is pretty long and wavy and I usually don't part it - pretty similar to what Kristen Stewart's is like, minus the color. My eyes also change colors frequently from green, blue, and gray. How do you think it would look and what's your opinion on girls with pale skin and black hair?
