Do I Need A 4770k To Update The Bios

How to see bios from hmdi?

I just assembled a new computer for the first time and after turning it on, it appeared I had some sort of problem. Nothing was displaying on the screen and there was a code on this "dr debugger" thing so I assumed it was some kind of error. Turns out the code (A9) was not an error code and it's trying to boot from usb despite not having any usb devices plugged in.

So anyways i believe the problem is that the mobo doesn't want to defaultly display from the hdmi to my tv which i use as a monitor. How can i get it to? Do i need to use another monitor and configure it first?

The board is an ASRock z87 extreme 6 with a i5 4770k and radeon 7950 gpu if any of that is relevant. I've tried plugging it into both the video card and onboard video and neither are working.

How to Get PS3 BIOS for Emulator?

its fake. They just set it up so you completely an endless amount of surveys for them and they make the money for the surveys you complete.

Its pretty obviously fake, i mean look at the name... "ps3 emulator" o ya.... thats totally believable someone would name an emulator that... they name it that so when you google "ps3 emulator" its the first one that comes up.

ps3 emulation is currently impossible due to hardware limitations. With current gen computer hardware, you would need like a 9-12ghz i7-4770k to run a ps3 emulator using a JIT recompilier through an AVX or AVX2 instruction code set (as optimized as it gets).
But to develop it, you would need to use an interpreter which is like 10x the requirements of a JIT recompilier...

It will probably be ATLAEST 10+ years before there is a real ps3 emulator capable of playing games.

If you would like see the development of a real ps3 emulator, follow this project https://code.google.com/p/rpcs3/ as its the only real one. But as the version number indicated, its extremely in an infancy of development. But like i said due to hardware limitations, dont expect to see much work being done on it anytime soon

Is updating BIOS necessary?

Please be very careful updating your BIOS.Generally its only needed if the new BIOS supports your new CPU, unlikely situation with a Laptop, or increases the amount of RAM your motherboard can recognize and utilize. If the BIOS update goes wrong you face a potentially useless machine and a long and pricey visit to your manufacturers agents. It can be done but I'd suggest a good clean and a look at the physical positioning of your laptop may solve your problem.

Can I use a 7th generation CPU on my B150M-D3H motherboard?

You can, but you’ll need to update the BIOS first. B150 motherboards, like yours, do support 7th generation CPUs, but only after a BIOS update. For updating the BIOS, you need a CPU that can natively run on the motherboard, such as a 6th generation processor. If you have one, first install that, run the PC, update the BIOS, and only then install the 7th generation CPU. It should work fine then. If you don’t update the BIOS, I don’t think the CPU will be recognized by the motherboard. For most people this isn’t a viable option, since no one buys a 7th gen CPU if you already have a 6th gen CPU - not if you are on an Intel platform. Therefore, a B250 motherboard is more suited for 7th generation, since they natively support 7th generation CPUs form Intel. If you do happen to have a 6th gen CPU, and are upgrading to 7th gen, then just run the BIOS update, and you’ll be good to go. If the B150 motherboard is in the out-of-the-box state, and you don’t have a 6th gen CPU, congratulations, you have been fooled by Intel and its chipsets.Hope this helps. Cheers!

What CPU should I upgrade to I'm tired of my GTX 1070 being bottlenecked by an i5 4690k?

Other already gave useful answers, some recommend a new build (i.e. AMD Ryzen 2600X or Intel i5 8600k) vs ebaying an unlocked 4th gen i7.If you go for a new plattform, it’s gonna cost you over $300 once you factor in CPU, compatible RAM and Mobo, but you are likely gonna be able to upgrade the CPU on it for something like a Ryzen 3600 (or whatever Zen2 is gonna be called) or a i7/i9 on Intels side, while something like a 4770K or 4790K is gonna set you back ~$150 but that’s it in terms of potential upgrades for that plattform.Right now a plattform upgrade to a Ryzen 2600X will not offer you a massive boost over something like a i7 4790k, performance will be around +/- 15% depending on the task/game.And in 2 years, I wonder what the remaining value of that now $220 Ryzen 2600X will be vs an used 4790K (if it does not die before, since its older and second hand already). On a new plattform you’ll then be in a similar position you are now (buy better CPU or replace plattform), except that your GPU is gonna offer only midrange performance by then and will likely hold you back either way.As others pointed out, I hope you already have 16GB of RAM, since if you are at 8GB this wlll make a bigger difference than i5 vs i7 in many games. Also an SSD, but that should be a total no-brainer in 2018.

If I have an I7 4770k and want to upgrade while keeping the same motherboard, what CPU would you recommend? I would like to overclock if possible.

The 4790k is the only CPU you can upgrade too on your current motherboard. Unfortunately, upgrading to that would be almost as expensive as going with a ryzen 2600x and a b450 motherboard. As a non used 4790k still retails for around 400 USD while the ryzen goes for around 200. Add in a 60$ b450 motherboard and 16gb of ddr4 for 120$ and you end up having more money, and gaining more performance with a full swap.So while I understand the desire to not upgrade your motherboard ( this includes that old ddr3 ram) you are already at a point in the gaming/PC world where your gonna have to upgrade to a new platform pretty soon anyway.Take a gander over to Home - UserBenchmark and compare some processors to figure out what you want, and ignore the prices they have listed there. I would suggest a 1600 or 2600x ryzen processor. Because both will have slightly better single core performance then the 4770 or 4790k, but the multicore performance is substantial, this will help rid yourself of any problems caused by background processes or enable you to run dx12 games like BFV or total war Warhammer without running into the limitation of not having enough CPU threads. (8 vs 12)

Is it possible to upgrade a desktop CPU?

Yes, but there are a few things that are needed. Keep in mind that in a lot of cases, the only time you can upgrade a CPU is on a desktop.I will tailor my answer to the info you have given specifically and as such might not apply generally.Right, now to your question. Here’s what you’ll need. The model number of your motherboard, and therefore the socket type. This is essentially the type of motherboard you have that connects all of your components together. Once you find that out you will also need to know what type of socket the CPU uses to essentially “plug in” to the motherboard. I use the term plug in loosely because it is not a plug like socket but right now it does not matter. From the information you have gathered and placed into the description, you are referring to upgrading to the same type of CPU and as such, if it has the same type of socket (make sure to check) then yes, you can upgrade to a more powerful variant.Power ConsumptionAll electronic equipment requires power, obviously right? Well you’d be surprised how many people forget to calculate their power consumption of their old set-up to whatever they will have after they add their new components. they can spend all of their money and then find out that their computer PSU does not have enough power to actually keep everything on. Check power consumption.Knowledge in this regard. Please make sure that you at least have a decent idea of what you’re doing. It is not difficult but rookie mistakes (like trying to press the CPU into the socket thinking that it needs a bit of a push and they end up bending the pins) can cost a lot of money. If you’re not confident then look up how-to’s online. You’ll be fine as long as you don’t do anything stupid because of lack of concentration.

Whats wrong with my Gtx 770??display driver stopped working?

I have a gtx 770 with i7 4770k processor and 8gb ram... a cooler master thunder 600watts powersupply.. i built gaming pc a month ago it was running perfectly fine .... but one day i started to get messages display driver stopped working but not frequent .... the information from google was to reinstall the driver so i uninstalled my drivers then boom no display on my windows i was able to go into bios but no display on my windows ... now i didnot have many options except reinstall windows .. so to backup my files in external hdd i removed graphics card and backedup my files and installed my graphics card again now the windows suddenly booted up without any need to format i was happy.. but after a couple of minutes boom this made matters worst now i was getting error messagez a lot so i finally reinstalled the windowz hoping it will solve the problem but the problem is still there o get error messages display driver stopped working... but not frequent... but it ruins ur gaming experience...

MSI mobo wont load past mobo screen?

press "Tab" button...

Which part makes my computer slow when playing games: Intel core i7-4770k CPU 3.5Ghz, 16GB Corsair Vengeance 2133MHz, XFX 850W 80+ Gold Modular PSU, 3TB Sata III Hard Drive, Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD3H Motherboard, or Nvidia Geforce GTX 780Ti 3GB?

Details in game depend on various things. Particles depend on CPU. Certain effects depend on GPU, and high model/texture detail may depend on VRAM. Some games will have applications in game that tell you if you’re being bottlenecked by CPU or GPU.I think your GTX 780 ti is bottlenecking your i7–4770. So if you’re looking to upgrade, go with a new GPU. Alternatively you can overclock your GPU, although the 3 GB VRAM may still be a problem.16 GB RAM at 2133MHz is enough for virtually every game on the market.Hard drive doesn’t affect detail or frame rates but does affect load time significantly. Get an SSD.You also have to make sure that you’re not being tripped up by poor maintenance or software issues. Some of the most prevalent troubles I’ve seen:You’re using your Intel integrated GPU instead of the discrete Nvidia one.Fix by checking your BIOS and making sure you select ‘discrete’ or ‘switchable’, then adding whatever game you’re trying to play to your GPU control software.Excessive bloatware.Uninstall then. Go to task manager and disable every non-essential program under ‘start up.’ Reformat hard drive if needed.Overburdening your system. Old performance cards tend to run hot.Over heated hardware degrade their performance and service life significantly. Don’t block ventilation on your PC (maybe clean out the fan), don’t overclock if you don’t know exactly what you’re doing, cap frame rates if need be.
