Do I Need A New Cell Phone Or New Battery

Do I need a new cell phone or new battery?

The best way to tell is see if the battery is exhibiting other odd behavior such as taking to long to charge, getting overly warm, showing a low battery symbol after charging for hours, giving a low level beep when it should be charged all the way up. If it is acting up frequently then just keep it plugged in while using it and see if that fixes the issue. Keep it plugged in to the home charger while you use it. Keep it plugged in to the car charger while you use is. If the symptoms disappear during use while its plugged in then I would say it is your battery. It may not be that the battery is dead. It may just be a bad fit. Believe it or not this is common. Some phones require a paper towel to be placed to allow the battery to make contact with the connector while the battery door is closed. It tightens up the excess room in the battery compartment and forces the battery towards the connectors. If none of this works then ask a sales rep if you can buy a new battery and return if if you don need it. Try the new battery and see if it solves your problem. Most cell service providers have a service center with technicians there who will diagnose your problem for free if none of these answers help.

Cell Phone Battery....?

Is it true that a battery lasts longer if you don't charge it until it dies, or is that just a theory? I was just wondering if I'm ruining the battery by charging it every night over night.

Do I need a new battery or did I kill my phone?

This could be based on many factors. Sometimes phones get static trapped in them witch prevents them from turning on. Here are some steps you could try:

1 Take the battery out of your phone and then press the on button then put the battery back into the phone and put it on charge.

2 check to make sure your car has the correct fuses otherwise you might have put to much current into your phone in witch case it could very well be damaged now.

3 plug your phone back in to the wall charger and leave it on charge for a good few hours and then check it again.

4 make sure your charger is the correct charger for your phone because even though it might fit your phone the voltages may be different.

I've always found it handy to have a multi meter for those situations

When is it better to replace a cell phone's battery vs. get a new phone?

It really depends, are you happy with “old” phone? If yes then in most cases you can get the battery replaced and you can continue on using the phone. If you are unhappy with the phone or have beat it all to hell, then it might be a good time to get a new phone when the battery life becomes so short that the phone ends up being useless…Depending on the phone, your service provider and plan, changing to a new phone can cost basically nothing or can cost a fortune. I personally try to take good/decent care of my phones and I’m able to use them for years with only battery changes…I would still be using my “old” phone, but it was only a 2G the phone and my provider’s 2G sunset was the end of that… My replacement is a 4G device so I’m expecting many years of service out of it before it becomes technically obsolete…If you are using an android phone, you will discover that you may have to replace it before it’s hardware is obsolete, because the Android OS isn’t being updated anymore and some of the apps you want to use needs a newer version than what you have… I’ve had to buy new tablets due to this in the past…To recap, buy a new phone or replace the battery, it all really depends on how happy you are with your phone/the condition it is in, and for some people the cost involved with getting a new phone may ending up being a factor as well.If you take good care of a phone it has the potential to last for years, but you won’t have the latest and greatest, and in some cases you might have issues installing/updating apps…I hope that you found this info to be helpful/useful…Best of luck!

Why Is My Cell Phone Battery Dying So Quickly?

Yea When I Charge It It Dies Extremely Fast. And In Fast I Mean Like When I Get Ready For School I Keep It Plugged Into The Charger Untill I Am Ready To Leave For School Which Is Like A 6:40 AM But I Start Listening To Music At Like 6:30 AM And I Listen To It Throughout The Day And By The Time I Hit CWP Class Which Starts At 8:30 It's Only Got 2 Things Of Battery Left....And If I Don't Charge It During CWP It Will Be Dead By Lunch Which Is At 10:35 And Even After I Charge It In CWP I Have To Charge It All During English To And By The Time School Ends Which Is At 2:05 It's Allready Down To 2 Things Of Battery. Also I Just Got A New Battery For My Phone Like A Week Ago Because I've Told My Dad About This. Also When Me And My Mom Went To That Mall Today I Asked That AT&T People About It And They Said That I Need A New Phone Because Something Is Eating The Battery Really Fast. And The Only Thing I Do Is Listen To Music On It...And That Would Take Several Hours To Drain The Battery Alot.... So My Question Is What Is Eating The Battery So Quickly? I Also Have A SGH-A777 If This Helps....And Thanks In Advanced! Oh And I Don't Have Texting...
