Do you have to get braces for top and bottom teeth?

of course you don't need for both. His reason = $

That's a good reason to go elsewhere.

ps: You should have a bar behind your top teeth so they don't shift after the braces. Most will leave this there for years or even forever.

"ya its best u get both... your teeth will move and your jaw will move and yo teeth will look UGGGGGGGGGGLY "
Crystal: I think they are just adjusting her teeth, not doing a Frankenstein surgery.

Are my top front teeth supposed to rub against the front bottom teeth?

Depends, At rest your front and back teeth should not touch. But when biting straight down, Yes, front should touch, especially if biting something like a sandwich. When out to the side, like food on right side, right side back teeth will touch through rotating motion, and the front teeth, most likely the cuspids, will guide the teeth through this rotating action, until the back teeth actually touch lightly, to chew.

Do I need braces if..........?

Yes you need braces especially if yout teeth have gaps between them. It don't matter if you haven't got your wisdom teeth yet but you need them to make your teeth sraight and the ones that go up and down go straight. And especially that you are at a young age. It'll be better to get them right now so you will have sraight teeth when you are in High School. And an over bite is when your top teeth go don't touch the bottem teeth. And an under bite is when the bottom teeth don't touch the top teeth. And when you get braces your teeth will hurt a little because those are the effects of your teeth getting sraight and moving around so you will have a nice smile when you get them off. To clean your teeth brush and floss daily the same way you do when you don't have braces on. I had braces and I got them taken off in February. I would recommend that you get them to also remember guys like girls that have a nice smile or braces because your teeth will be straight. And when you have braces you have to go to the Orthodontics every month to tighten your rubber band and pick different colors for your braces it's very cool getting differnt colors to match what you are gonna wear. Well good luck finding answers bye. If you have any other questions e-mail me about it.

How are front top teeth and bottom teeth supposed to line up?

I have braces on in preparation for jaw surgery, which cannot be completed until my teeth are lined up correctly. I have had them on for several months now, and have been progressing very quickly... four teeth were pulled to fix crowding, teeth are straight, etc. At my last appointment, they said something about correcting my bite now. I am concerned because since then, my bottom left tooth has shifted to the middle of my two front teeth (the four central teeth are no longer aligned). My husband said that is how it's supposed to be, but Google didn't turn up any medical images of that being the case.

I have been wearing all my bands as described, so I'm wondering if there's something about my specific bite that would make the tooth need to be oddly centered or whether or not something is just going wrong. Obviously I am going to ask at my next appointment, but want to know if I should call before then given that it's weeks away.

Should I get braces even though I don't need them?

Well, if you feel you that you dont really like your teeth then get braces, you shouldnt care what other people think. I have braces and have had mine for 7 months. At the start my friends thought they were really cool, cause none of them have braces. But no-one took the mic out of me and now people are just used to the fact that I have braces and don't think nothing of it. People will notice and be like "wow you have braces how weird" at first, but all that stops after a few weeks.

Experience with braces.. hmm
Well alot of people get the braces rubbing with their inner cheek and lips and get alot of mouth ulsers. But not everyone, I didn't get one and I was expecting alot cause everyone told me to be prepared for them cause they hurt. When you get them put in it feels a little weird like your teeth have expansions on them, but after about a day it feels normal. On the first day you should take antibiotics or something about 4 or 5 hours later cause thats when they tend to ache. The 1st month i had mine tightened i cried, but i'm bad with things like teeth and cuts and stuff. Its nothing to cry about they just tug at the teeth a bit when the wires being changed. The second month i had mine tightened it REALLY hurt, i was lieing in bed all day. Its nothing to be worried about, it's just the fact that the teeth are shifting into place. So it aches, i can only reccommend medicine for that. On the third month it was fine, completely. It didnt ache at all cause they were in place.

Also after you have the braces taken out you have to wear a retainer at night time so they dont shift back into their old places. Ive heard thats for the rest of your life but my dentist has only said 9 months. I'll probs wear mine longer cause i don't wanna waste the 18 months just to find they all go back into the original places.

I think you just gotta be patient with them
Hope that helped x

Top row braces pricing?

I had an appointment because I have a small gap and an overlapping tooth in the front row. I wanted to check out braces and see some prices. Some dentist said it would be 6,500 for invisalign , I was astonished , is this good pricing ? I only need the top row .. my bottom teeth are all in line and straight its just my front teeth on the top are spaced out and the tooth next to them is pushed out. What can I do ? How much would it be just for the top row ? Braces or invisalign
