High school level horse science fair ideas?
When in high school my daughter did an amazing project on the equine reproductive system. She even borrowed a 4-month old foal fetus from our veterinarian to display. (The mare had miscarried him, but he was still perfect so the doctor preserved him in formaldehyde in a jar for educational purposes.) She had ultrasound images and graphs depicting the exact cycles a mare goes through before conceiving. Ask your local horse vet, especially if he or she does a lot of breeding. Or, ask if they could recommend you to a breeding farm manager in your area who would be willing to let you ask lots of questions.
Science fair project you can do in one day? HELP.?
my little brother waited untill the last minute, and it is due tommorow, i am trying to help him. He is in grade 5 and it has to be something fast and simple that he can get atleast a C on. Thanks.
How do I win a prestigious science fair?
It all has to do with your log.The idea usually doesn’t have much to do with winning. It’s the thought and scientific process that counts. Write every single question, thought, and action in a log. A hundred pages of writing is not too much. Now, don’t write things that have nothing to do with your project, but include all relevant detail.Write about choosing your topic. Things that interest you. Why you choose one topic over another.Why something doesn’t work out. Your research. Your plans. Why you choose one brand over another. Discussions with your teacher about your project.Changes you made or want to make. Things you think will happen. Things you expected to happen. Things you didn’t. Inspirations, discoveries, worries.When the judges see how much work, passion, and scientific process you put into your project, it will stand out from the others.
Science project( are my fish dying)?
i have a biosphere project. i have a 2-liter bottle with two plants in it: ellodia and one other.. i have two feeder fish inside about an inch long and a sucker fish about 1.5 inches long.. the fishs' gills have been moving really fast. and i need to know what is going on. i'm pretty sure it's an oxygen deficiency, but it needs to be a self-sustained environment. what can i be able to fit into the bottle that can produce more oxygen, that's natural?(if it is an oxygen deficiency) cuz i can't put in a water pump or anything like that
What will happen if bacteria is incubated for more than 48 hours?
I doubt the bacteria will run out of nutrients in 48 hours, but if you're planning to analyze the plates by counting the number of colonies that grow, there's a good chance that several small colonies can grow together so they may look like a single colony, so any counts would be less than the actual number of bacteria that were present. Also, some types of bacteria may inhibit the growth of others, if not kill them, if they come into contact with one another.
