Ain't no thing like me, except me.I Am Groot. So, there you have it. Three votes for buffoon and one for Groot.Aw, come on guys. Don't I get a vote?

A pal wants to know. I didn't even know there were buffoonal varieties.

What are some good buffoonerous acts in which I can engage?

Why can't reasonably intelligent people see that Trump is a buffoon, a national disgrace, and only out to serve his own self interests?

I think support for trump is not based on intellect or even ideology as much as it is about emotions. Also, many may support Trump bc they did not “like” HRC/the alternative. The consequences of any political actions he takes may not be felt for quite some time - socially, emvironmentally, etc, so until we all feel the impact, or lack thereof, there will be little base to any argument made —at least for those waiting for him to improve their lives. Who knows, if pay and jobs do not increase, they may turn on him.The other action items on his agenda don’t seem to matter to his admin or his supporters - like healthcare for all (esp lower income women), civil/equal rights, climate change). Why should they be enraged by issues that do not affect them directly or are not as urgent as jobs/wages.What I do find personally perplexing is their indifference to Russia’s interference with our election and undermining of our democracy. Call it propaganda if you wish, but if all of our intelligence agencies have found irrefutable evidence, why would you just not give a shit?

Is London's mayor, Boris Johnson, popular because he is a buffoon, or in spite of being a buffoon?

Boris Johnson is that most deceptive of political animals, a schemer in the full Machiavellian sense, intent on getting access to and indeed becoming part of the world's political elite, masquerading as a bumbling toff who can barely remember where he left his bike.  As others have noted he is no fool and has enjoyed a privileged education at some of the finest seats of learning our country has to offer.  He succeeded in becoming Mayor of London by twice identifying what Londoners wanted most (an acceptable tory alternative to Red Ken first time around and someone who wasn't Ken Livingstone but someone we'd heard of the second) and making himself in effect The Tory It Is Ok To Like. We're on first name terms now, partly because of the calculated dishevelled appearance and partly for his acute politician's instinct to spot and then milk to death a populist gambit.  This serves to take attention away from his disastrous record on anything remotely important.  His stance on tax and spend is opaque at best and his handling of the London riots was shambolic even by his standards.  Sonia Purnell examines his record in more detail here;http://www.guardian.co.uk/commen...He's aiming for the top, whatever he may say to the contrary, yet although his public school demeanour may endear him to many, he must sharpen up on policy and presentation if he is to come anywhere close.  I personally hope he fails, not only for his invidious attempts to disguise his single-minded ambition but because we do not need a politician of his ilk at this or any other time.  A recent Times editorial entitled "Boris for PM? Seriously, we must be joking" put it much better than I, but without a subscription I can't reproduce it.  Writer was Phillip Collins, August 3rd or 4th for those who are interested, it's well worth the read.  To answer your question, he's succeeding at the moment because of his calculated buffoonery, but I suspect he may well succeed in future by standing on the shoulders of some very influential (Antipodean) suitors.

Which is worse: a buffoon with orange hair, or a corrupt lying fascist war-monger?

Technically they're both fascists. Trump is more of a classic nationalistic racist fascist and hillary is more of a corporate-state power fascist.

Why are White People voting for Donald Trump?

They're not the breast and brightest.
