Do I Wax My Car Again

Is waxing your car bad for its paint?

If done right, it is great for your car. You will need to clean properly first. Be mindful to keep your mitt/sponge/whatever clean of debris that could scratch your paint. There are two types of waxes, most are cleaner waxes that have some abrasive component to clean better. Some are 100% wax. The 100% are for very clean, most likely garaged vehicles. For regular cars, the cleaner wax is best.Once again, make sure your applicator and buffing cloth are always clean and free of anything that can hard the finish.I wax my vehicles a few times a year.

Do u wax a car before or after a car wash?

have to agree with hva? plus if you wax before you'll scratch the paint

Can i wax my car with out washing it?

Not recommended.
Chances are that there will still be some dirt/sand on it even if you wipe it with a semi wet towel, and then when you apply wax, you will be grinding in that dirt, therefore scratching the paint.

It's like changing the oil but not the oil filter.

Wax ruined my car's finish!?

I am so sorry this happened to you, it is a tough lesson to learn. I know it is a bummer.

If you bring it to a shop they can fix it for your, you should take it and ask them how much, they will give you a free estimate. Depending on the amount of damage it might not be too expensive.

If it is too expensive to get if professionally done and you have no other choice, then you can try any number of other products for paint oxidation. Since you would have nothing to lose at this point then go ahead. Here is the trick though: do not use it on the entire car, try just a small patch and see how it does. If it works on that small patch then you can use it on a bigger part of the car and see how it does.

Again I am sorry this happened, that really sucks.

Do you have to wax your car after using a Clay Bar?

Today is Monday and I just washed and waxed my truck yesterday ( Sunday) I want to use a clay bar to get it feeling like it did in the showroom again. If I use the clay bar AFTER waxing, Do I have to wax again? Thanks everybody

Car wax pros and cons ?

Frankly, it is a lot of work, but will make your car shiner for a month or so and then you have to do it again. In the old days, before cars had a clear coat, which yours does...(they put color on first, and then a clearcoat) wax was necessary to get the car to shine better. With a clear coat, the shine is permanent. Don't believe the wax companies who say wax protects the car...that is utter crap. The coat of wax is about i micron thick, which protects again nothing. Waxing is really just wasting your time and money.
Tips:
Keep it clean..wash by hand...do not use automatic car washers..they may scratch the paint.
Get bird poop off immediately or it will stain.
Try to park in the shade...the sun is a cars worse enemy.

To the County Boy clown below me, I used to clay, polish, and wax my car every three months. I probably detailed more cars than you will ever own. I have used Mother, Meguairs, Sones, Excalibur, and even the lowly Turtle Wax, and other consumer waxes. I used the two bucket method to wash cars, I have forgotten more about detailing cars, than you will ever know. YOU NEVER use a nylon covered anything on automotive paint, especially black, or you will scratch the clearcoat. New car DO need to be clayed, and waxed with a cleaner wax, and then waxed IF you awant a perfect finish. Have you ever heard of rail dust, and other contaminents. CB you know NOTHING about waxing. CB, you are a sheep, and being herded by the wax companies. Once clearcoart was invented, did you think wax companies would go out of business? No, they foisted the belief that wax was still needed. You probably sell unsuspecting customers needless suspension parts and brake parts also.
