Do Iguanas Make A Lot Of Noise In Their Cages Or Are They Quiet Animals

My iguana has the loudest farts, HONEST .... Do I need to change his diet, or is this normal ?

Farting in Iguanas is not normal. It means he is not digesting his food properly and it is fermenting in his gut.

I don't know your temp and humidity, but I suspect it is not high enough.
Also, Iguanas do not need and should not have meat or eggs.

A good iguana diet is mostly mixed greens & vegitables, kale, celery tops, carrot tops, fresh alfalfa, green clover, cilantro, green and yellow squash, bell pepper and so on, with a small amount of fruit.

Lettuce is Iguana McDonalds.
They also love flowers, hybiscus, nastutium , clover, rose...

Get him checked out by the vet and check your cage temp and humidity.

What is a pet that doesn't make noise or smell?

Fish are not pets!
A nice iguana :X

Iguana tries to eat my fingers and hair, is he hungry or pissy?

Okay, in response to another answer, please NEVER give your iguana pinky mice or crickets. No animal protein ever. This includes milk, meat of any kind, insects, or dog or cat food. Their bodies don't process animal protein, and it will cause kidney failure and probably lead to an early death.

Feed him a diet of dark leafy greens (collards, mustards, endive, escarole and dandelion) along with vegetables like squash and green beans. No lettuce of any kind and no spinach, and be careful with cabbages and root vegetables.

Prepare his food and put in in a dish in his cage in the same place each time. He will learn that food will appear there and not in your hands, and will then go to the dish when he's hungry instead of biting you.

When he does bite you, make a sharp noise to startle him, then put him in his cage. If you do that consistently, he may associate the noise with the biting and realize he'll be put back in his cage when he does it. Stop hand feeding him until he is firmly broken of the biting, and make sure he has a bowl full of food in the morning and one in the evening.

Why do I find dogs incredibly annoying, yet I like other pets, like cats, birds, rabbits, iguanas, snakes, chameleons, etc?

Dogs are very emotionally invested in their humans. They want to be with you, interact with you, touch you - and they are usually happy to be with you 24/7, if you let them, while the other animals you mentioned tend to either be more aloof, independent, self-sufficient, or not as intelligent and curious about you, or they are housed in a cage or tank that keeps them contained unless you chooses to take them out and interact. They are more like objects or toys than furry people. So, perhaps you are not an especially “warm and fuzzy” person, or you may not like to feel crowded or imposed upon. There actually are several breeds of dog that are more cat-like (like the Basenji), or more independent and stand-offish than most breeds. But if you just feel like you are not at all drawn to dogs as a species, then it’s OK. In my opinion, that just means you haven’t met the right one, yet (LOL!!) But you are not alone. There are plenty of people who prefer pets other than dogs.

What's the most unusual pet you've ever had?

No joke. I used to have a Sun Bear as a pet. We went to a market in Jakarta where they sell pretty much everything. I then saw a black thing from the distance which looked like a dog. I walked closer with mom and saw a sun bear chained to a metal bar. My heart stopped. This ain’t Tongi. Photo courtesy of Nat GeoWe did not want to buy him because we don’t want those pricks to haunt for more to sell. But we also don’t want him chained here because he’s not where he’s supposed to be! My mom decided that we should take the bear home. But she called the Animal Rescue and registered the two men to the system so that if they do something like this again, the rangers would recognise them. It’s frickin’ cruel. The rangers could not take the sun bear with them, we were given a special licence to keep him at home.We named our sun bear, Tongi. He was still young so we didn’t want to let him go just yet. We built a little pond for him to cool down because Jakarta is pretty hot and humid. He lived in our front yard. We fed him lots of honeys and a container filled with ants—it’s actually kind of weird to see a giant army of ants filling up a container, but we got used to it.I told mom to wait for me to fly back before we released Tongi because I went to school Down Under. 5 months later, I came home for a holiday and we think Tongi is ready to go. Mom called the conservation centre and asked for them to pick Tongi up. They wanted Tongi to be kept in a zoo for some time. Mom agreed. One year later we went to visit the Safari, about 2 hours drive from the city. Tongi was there, with his mates running around in a big open space with trees everywhere. This was more than a decade ago. I wonder if he is still alive…
