I am a former chef and like the last fellow said they are native to the Middle East, I have and still do use them fresh in there pod, like foam in side and they sometime have to be peeled when larger, frozen and in cans for salads and dried in soups and I add them to my hummus as an extender and in Falafel as again a way to make it go further.

One thing that I haven’t seen in any of these answer, is that by the time a PD patient begins to show symptoms, the area of the brain that produces dopamine, the substansia negra, is already about 80% dead. Until we find a way to diagnose PD much earlier or find a way to not only stop brain cell death and a way to regenerate brain cell there will be no cure for PD. Researchers have claimed for years that they were only 5 years from a cure. But they never get any closer than 5 years, or so it appears.There are many ways to mask the symptoms, exercise, diet etc. but once any of these things are stopped the PD patient finds themselves farther advanced into the disease. Because Dopamine is a feel good drug, without it apathy and depression occur making it very hard for the patient to continue with exercise etc.Levodopa is a precursor to dopamine that can pass the blood/brain barrier that then can be changed into dopamine within the brain. It loses effectiveness after several years and the side effects can be bad. It is mixed with carbidopa because without it levodopa can cause severe stomach upset. Even with the carbidopa added some people cannot take the drug.Don’t fall for claims of a natural cure. You will only waste your money and I can assure you you will need that money in the future because sooner or later you will find you can not function well enough on your own. Whether you in up fully frozen and need a full time caregiver or a nursing home it will cost you more money than you have most likely saved. Be careful what you put into your system , since we don’t know what causes PD it is very hard to tell how any thing might affect the disease. I’m not trying to be a Debby Downer, just realistic. Everyday we are bombarded with some supposed news of the perfect cure, something that supposedly has saved ONE person from the ravages of PD. Either that person never really had PD or they are in a natural remission and will find themselves back in the downward spiral sometime in the future.You can live and function for many years with PD, in fact most patients don’t show any symptoms until they have had PD for years. That is why diagnoses is so late into the disease. It is usually a very slow moving disease so once diagnosed you usually have at least 20 years before you die from some side effect.

What is the best way to treat IBS?

The Cause : To me, it started after i had an acute Traveler's Diarrhea. A study reveal that the chances of IBS increases six folds after such an event. Having said that, I know a lot of people where stress, lifestyle changes, depression and junk food are among the contributors. The Cure : There exist no cure for this. However, with a combination of things I have been able to cure myself and i aim to improve as 'the cure' will be a life long one. The things are :5 A.M Wake up : Wake up at 5 A.M. For that you got to sleep early. Wake up, have plenty of water and attend to ablutions to start your day. Exercise : Hit the GYM. Do YOGA. Run a mile after an overnight fast. Yes, exercise is the best cure to this. Have a goal - make a schedule or follow a transformation program to push you at every corner. Push yourself to do better everyday. Pushing yourself would increase amount of dopa-mine in you resulting in 30 percent improvement of symptoms ( and not to mention numerous other benefits of exercise : high serotonin, runner's high, endorphins). With high dopamine - your bowl movements are slow.Have good meals : Have meals every 2.5 to 3 hrs.  Your meals should be high in protein. Use L Glutamine as a supplement and drink 10 gms half an hour prior to every meal, unless you get better. Do include intake of healthy bacterias in your diet. Remember to take them frequently. Perform experiment on what food irritates your colon and eliminate those like-wise.Read : Read as much as you can. Choose whatever interest you. Self - improvement books would be great to start with. It is all about shifting your mindset to a positive one.Meditate : This is again of utmost importance. Do take time and sit at a peaceful place and connect with yourself, connect with nature. Start with 10 minutes a day and increase your time to an hour as you progress.Sleep : Sleep is again a vital job here. Yes sleep as it is your job. Sleep properly and wake up to a blasting morning.Happy : Last but not the least, Be happy.
