That doesn't really sound safe. I think instead of taking her word for it you should do research on the ingredients of the birthcontrol pill, ask the manufacturer questions. Who knows, in a month or two, your friend, God forbid, might develop a tumor of some kind. Just eat healthy, take supplements (i recommend folic acid and biotin in 5000mg) and take care of your hair so you can retain your length! hope I helped.
Will getting on Microgestin FE 1/20 help me loss weight from my old Birth Control?
3 years ago I started taking Ortho-Tri-Clyn-Lo I gained 10 pounds and because of the weight gain I decided to get off of it and gained like 10 more pounds. I went from being in shape to 150 pounds. I've tried everything for the past 3 years to get my body back. It wouldn't come off. As of recently I started dating someone new and decided to try birth control again. This time my clinician asked what i\I didnt like about Ortho-tri-clyn-lo. So she put me on Microgestrin FE 1/20. I've read that a lot of women switch to this pill because of weight gain and actually lost weight. How many people has this happened to and how long did it take for the weight to finally come off after switching.
What medications interfere with my birth control?
I use Biotin and I take Microgestin Fe 1/20 birth control i was wondering if the biotin affects the birth control of if its fine. I know some medications make it less affective. I also use raspberry ketone...help!?
Does this birth control pill make my boob bigger?
I'm currently taking Norethindrone Acetate / Ethinyl Estradiol Tablets ___ Watson - Microgestin Fe 1/20. Just wondering, do that kind of pill gives you big boobs or no? Don't get me wrong, I just need it for my period to become normal, but I found out recently that birth control pills can actually make your boob bigger. I just wanted to know if this kind helps you boost up your boob size too? And also, I heard your breast deflates if you stop taking them, back to average. Would they 100% go back smaller than before you took the pills, or would they just go back to your original size? Or will they just deflate a little, but still be somewhat bigger than before? Or it all depends on the person? thanks!
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome birth control?
i take loestrin 24, it is great. I havent had any side effects and i have been on it for a year. At first when i started taking it i had my period for about 3wks but it was VERY light and the reason why i got that was so that the pills could get in my system. but other than that i have no complaints. How long will Doxycycline compromise my birth control for?
The relationship between taking antibiotics at the same time as contraceptive pills is not well understood. In theory it can reduce the effectiveness, in practice, it is not as predictable as the theory. So to answer your specific questions. (1) In thoery it can affect that cycle, so the adivce is to use alternative contraception for the remainder of that cycle. (2) In practice I would say the chances of you getting pregnant are low but not zero (in general). For someone with PCOS, the chances are possibly lower (if you dont ovulate, then the chances of course are zero but the fact that you think you are anovulatory and being anovulatory are not quite the same thing). In summary, I would say your chances of being pregnant are very low. Take a test if your period doesnt come as expected.By the way, if you have PCOS (and have PCOS symptoms arising from elevated testosterone levels such as oily skin, acne, or unwanted hair growth perhaps) then microgestin is probably not the ideal BC pill to be on. A BC pill containing cyptoerone is likely to be more beneficial. The reason is because cyproterone (a progestin) has a stronger anti-androgen effect that the progestin in microgestin (sorry, a bit technical). You might want to discuss this with your doctor.
Does birth control effect boob size? ?
It really depends on the girl. I'm a med. size girl and I went a whole cup size when I started the pill. My more "thicker" friend had nothing happen to her. I have gained some weight, but you need to careful on the pill because of blood colts. Trust me your cramps will hurt a lot less though.
