Do My Baby Needs Both Consent To Travel Abroad Even If I

Do my 1 year old baby needs a passport to travel from USA to Mexico?

I will make this very simple, if you are traveling by air or traveling farther into Mexico than 25 miles then yes you both need passports. Exception travel in the Baja.
Currently Mexico is still allowing US adult citizens to enter their country by land and travel within 25 miles of the border with a driver's license and birth certificate, but you may be delayed when you return to the US if you do not have a passport, passport card, or other approved ID. Children 15 years old or younger may use a copy of their birth certificates for travel by land. All adults and children need to have a passport to fly to Mexico, and children traveling without both their parents should have a letter from their parents authorizing the travel. I hope this answer helps.

For your passport application you need to go a passport office or your local post office.
1. Fill Out Form DS-11: Application For A U.S. Passport
2. Submit Completed Form DS-11 In Person
3. Submit Evidence of U.S. Citizenship
4. Present Identification
5. Submit a Photocopy of the Identification Document(s) Presented (Step 4)
6. Pay the Applicable Fee
7. Provide Two Passport Photos

For your baby's passport application;
1. Complete Form DS-11: Application For A U.S. Passport
2. Submit Form DS-11: Application For A U.S. Passport In Person
3. Submit Child's Evidence of U.S. Citizenship
4. Submit Evidence of Relationship Between Child and Parent(s)/Guardian(s)
5. Present Identification of Parent(s)/Guardian(s)
6. Submit a Photocopy of Each Parent/Guardian ID Document To Be Presented (Step 5)
7. Provide Parental Consent
8. Pay the Applicable Fee
9. Submit Two Passport Photos

You will need the following for both you and your baby;
A certified birth certificate it must has a registrar's raised, embossed, impressed or multicolored seal, registrar's signature, and the date the certificate was filed with the registrar's office, which must be within 1 year of your birth. Some short (abstract) versions of birth certificates may not be acceptable for passport purposes.

Can I move to another country pregnant without the father's consent?

There is no custody order in place, because (since the child has not been born yet) he has not established his paternity as the child's biological father. You can move anywhere you want, and you don't need his consent to do so legally.

But if he is later established as the child's father (if he is an American citizen), then the child is automatically considered an American citizen also no matter where it is born. Then he can file for a custody arrangement if he chooses, and you will have to appear in court in the U.S. to contest it.

I am not familiar with Philippine law on this, have your extended family contact an attorney.

Minor traveling to mexico without parents ?

Both answers you got are wrong. you need a passport and a letter of permission signed by both parents and notarized. You do not need your S.S. card. You do not need a green card ! THAT guy is an idiot. You will need a tourist permit (an FMM) The trouble with going by bus is they presume you already have one and they do not stop at the border (my experience) so you can go to the immigration office and get the tourist permit. FAR better to go to the nearest Mexican consulate and get it ahead of time. I know about the phone problem...they are all like that. If there is a consulate in your town, GO in person. Or talk to the bus company you are using and ask if they will stop for you to get your permit.

Can my baby cross the Canadian border with her birth certificate?

I am driving to Canada next month. My baby will be 9 months by then and I got confirmation by calling immigration asking if my baby's birth certificate will work for crossing the border. They said its fine as long as both parents name is on the certificate and is stamped. I also read that a birth certificate can work for minors until the age of 16. Now my aunt is telling me coming back from Canada a passport is needed for my baby. Is this true? Or can the birth certificate still work?
