Do Not Use Extra Storage In North Brunswick Nj. They Are A Ripoff And Then They Will Sell Your

If someone reports an illegal basement?

It depends where you live. In the province where I live, you must let a city official in if they've received a complaint such as about your dog (bylaw) or your home not being up to code. The reason for this is that the city requires building permits for things such as suites (not on the original approval for the home being built, or if renovations have been made). Not having building permits or permits for major work such as plumbing, electrical etc is against the law and breaking city building codes, so they do have a right to enter.

If your basement apartment/suite puts your home's FSR (maximum allowable living space to be built based on size of lot) over the limit for that lot, you can and most likely will be required to get rid of the basement suite. If it's still within FSR, they will require you to pay a sizable fine and retroactively get the permit so in the future when you sell it, you can legally say it's up to code and has building permits. If it's still within FSR but the construction isn't stable enough etc, the city can force you to make necessary supports/upgrades to it to make it up to code and also give you a fine.

Are all 7-11's in New York required to sell beer?

No, the state doesn't require anyone to sell beer. 7-11 is a chain store and the chain requires them to sell beer unless they are unable to obtain a lisence (number of which is based on the population where the store is located). This may be what your father is saying...if the state refused the lisences then a particular 7-11 wouldn't have to sell beer. It doesn't matter anyway...it is still haram as far as I can tell. From what I am told Muslims are not to posess, consume, transport or sell alcohol whether it is required by a chain, state or anyone else. In a few Muslim countries people can be punished for even owning a bottle or container which is used to hold alcohol even if theres nothing in it (like an empty wine bottle). Someones belief in God should trump 7-11 or the state of N.Y. it seems like to me. This is not my belief as I am not a Muslim, but it is what I understand from my studying of Islam. I could be wrong.

edit: Hmmm...thumbs down? I thought it was a pretty good answer. Oh well, I actually don't really care, but I can't see why any of these answers would get a thumbs down (why would anybody take the time to thumbs down someone who doesn't know what a 7-11 is?). Just peoples opinions according to what they know. That's the whole idea of this site.

Is it illegal have a snapping turtle in new york state as a pet?

According to my friends at the New York Turtle and Tortoise Society, it is not. We have three. The oldest is 14 years, he's been with us all fourteen. Please consider contacting the Society because they are very nice people and the annual Turtle Show in Greenwich Village is not to be missed. Snapping turtles are difficult pets if you do not have the time to take care of them and train them properly --definitely NOT for casual interest because they can live to be 42 or more (we hope ours grow old with us!) We have seen many unfortunate former pet snapping turtles: even the Bronx zoo has one in the outdoor enclosure --that poor guy lost part of his lower jaw, probably to a fishing lure, and probably thinking someone was feeding him! If you have any doubts at all about commiting to a pet for more than twenty years, don't get one of these just because they are cheap: they're super-intelligent (for reptiles) and deserve respect.

How much do Dealership mechanics make per inspection sticker.?

As Krystal said some mechanics get a percentage of what they do or "turn". This is why they rush. If the labor book says it takes 4 hours and they do it in 2 they get paid a percentage of 4 hours. That is how they can bank more billable hours than they actually work. It is results driven pay although you are on a time driven labor rate. They do it in 2 hours you get charged for 4. It can also work the other way. Those mechanics don't last too long.

Oh yeah, I forget the whole point of your question. The inspection sticker is purchased by the shop from the state. The pay x
The shop gets y
The mechanic gets Z
Total is inspection sticker+mechanic rate+shops cut

There is a movement to give mechanics and normal hourly check, some get bonus's on performance above book and some don't. This is supposed to stop them from doing shoddy work, but some it just breeds laziness.
