Vidcon 2014 ticket prices?

This year I got my ticket for $110 and it was amazing. It was my first year and it was better than I expected. It was overwhelming at first because there was so many people but that's what made it fun at the same time. And even though there are tons of people that attend you still have high chances of meeting your favorite youtubers, like I met almost all of mine. As for what you should bring I didn't bring anything actually because at registration they gave us a vidcon bag, a booklet with the schedules for everything, and a pen so you can have people sign whatever you want. However one thing i wish i had brought something to give to one of my favorite youtubers in case I met them, so if that's something your interested in doing than i encourage that. Also if you want the people you meet to sign a certain thing bring it because they will. One guy brought a bean bag and someone else brought their laptops, I however just had them sign my vidcon bag but again it's up to you. As for flight costs I don't know about that because my flight was just half an hour and didn't cost much, but it'd be different since your flying from Colorado. Vidcon does give you a discount on airfare but it isn't much. I hope this all helped and if there's anything else you want to know feel free to ask.

Have you ever been to VidCon? If so, what was it like?

Well, this happened: George Ramos's answer to What things happened to people at VidCon this year?I’m an adult man past the age of forty-five who does not regularly watch YouTube or use social media. I bought Community tickets for me and my daughter and followed her and her friend around. It was our first year attending.I wasn’t interested in much of what we did. The convention floor had merchants of various electronic companies—drones, cameras, social media, media outlets, etc—drumming up business. It took only an hour-and-a-half to see everything.Everyone was friendly and respectful enough (including the mass of unaccompanied minors referenced in the answer above). There was a very good racial and gender diversity of people present (not surprising due to its location in Southern California). The musical entertainment seemed good (though my charges were not interested in it). We did not win the lottery for the meet and greet; I assume doing so would have enhanced our experience. The lunch trucks had a good variety of food options. I did not try the parent room, but in my opinion it’s funny to think that some parents brought their kids and then sequestered themselves away with alcoholic beverages.I’m a teacher, and so the best parts for me were the two panels we sat in on. First we heard a discussion between Hank Green and Jaiden Animations about creating content and building an audience, and then we stayed late for the PBS Digital Nerd Night. These presenters each gave a mini-lecture, and they were each very intelligent and very engaging: Mike Rugnetta, Vanessa Hill, Joe Hanson, Dianna Cowern, Sarah Urist Green, Kelsey Houston Edwards, Matt O’Dowd, and Myles Bess. We also had an excellent conversation with two adult science YouTubers in the audience. In other words, I enjoyed the intellectual content. The kids whom I brought are both low-level creators with relatively short attention spans, so they could not benefit from some of the promotion and networking aspects of the conference. The teenagers present seemed to enjoy what they were doing (though I saw at least three or four girls crying at different parts of the day … my teacher self wanted to reach out to them and help them). There was just a lot of hanging out looking at one’s phone … not the best use of money in my opinion, but if you’ve got it, you might as well spend it.

How do i convince my parents to let me go to vidcon? Ive tried to explain youtubers to her, but she keeps on going on about responsibility?

and saying that because i turn in some homework late i have no responsibility etc etc. She also wants to follow me around the whole day and wouldn't let me go with a friend (lets be honest, its not that fun if you dont go with a friend). By then Ill be almost 14, so i feel like i should have some respect and trust but... no. help?
