Do Peoples Eyes Change Color Over Time

Do people's eyes really change color with their mood?

My eyes are brown, and they change colour with my mood. I can only imagine how much more obvious it would be for people with lighter coloured eyes. When I am angry, my eyes turn black, so much so that you can hardly see my pupils. When I am happy, they turn a light reddish brown and shine gold in the sun. When I am thinking or concentrating really hard, the turn a muddy brown, so that you can see my pupils but not the marks in my irises. But most of the time, my eyes are just a deep brown, with darker marks around my irises and large pupils. They used to shine a lot- they don’t much anymore. I am hoping they will soon again. They may not be green or blue or interesting in any way, but I love my eyes.

Can your eyes change color??????????

ok, so my super annoying friend won't believe me because i said that my eyes change from brown to green (she said it wasn't possible) please tell me if your eyes cahnge color or if it's possible

thanks!

Do eyes change color?

With color contacts, of course. But I highly doubt that's what you're questioning here. Yes, I do know 3 people whose eyes do change colors along with their emotions. I thought it was my imagination for years, but their friends and family members have confirmed my observations.

1. My best friend with deep blue eyes. Every time his anger flares, his eyes change to a deep purple shade----as if there's fire in his eyes. That color change is the most indicative clue to when he seriously gets angry. His twin brother has the same colored eyes, with the same face, but his eye color doesn't change. And he doesn't know why my best friend just came out "weird" like that.

2. My ex-husband and a good friend from high school both have hazel eyes that also change colors according to their emotions. When my ex felt lusty, his eyes changes to a medium aqua green----in more than one setting and in different clothes, so I know it irrelevant to the "lighting" or what color clothes we wore. Whenever he felt frustrated or angry, his eyes turned to a light brown. My good friend's eyes also changes to a light brown whenever she gets mad, as if there's literally a "storm cloud" over her eyes. Yet whenever she's around her beloved husband, her eyes change to an dark aqua green. Her husband said her eyes were the reason he fell in love with her on their first date.

But these examples are all light-color-eyed people. I have never seen dark eyes change colors. Nor have I ever seen any other person (not even other light-color-eyed ones), besides those 3 aforementioned, with color-changing eyes like that. I call it "rainbow eyes." It is sooo rare and beautiful. You are one of the most rare creations. It is not your imagination. If you still have doubts, just ask your family and best friends to observe you.

Why do some people's eyes change color when they grow up?

I was born with blue color eyes. But when I grew up, it became hazel / amber colored. Sometimes even it turns into a shade of green ( Catty eyes) under the sun. I used to get fascinated. Then as a Biology student, I did some research n found- Eye color is based on the number and color of pigment granules (melanin) in our eyes. Newborns often have non-pigmented (blue) eyes, which will change and darken in the first six years of life. More or darker pigment means darker eyes, fewer or lighter granules result in lighter eyes. Hazel eyes can appear to change color, due to less pigment and more effect of the exterior environment ( the reason my eyes color changes under sun)Eye color can change with puberty, likely due to a genetic component. There may be environmental factors that affect eye color.Although brown eyes are blue under neath. This is also a fact. So, when newborn are exposed to light, due to pigmentation it slowly changes to brown.Hope u have also got your answers. :)

Do some people with blue eyes or a different eye color change into green when sexually aroused?

It's possible. My eyes are able to reflect my mood (right now they are a dull gray) so it's possible that being aroused could cause a change.

Is it possible for your eye to change color over time? I was born with a brown eye but it has changed. If yes, what can cause it?

Changes to the iris tissue: increased pigmentation (eg from certain medication) will cause darkening of the eye colour. Decreased pigmentation (eg normal ageing) will cause lightening.Changes to the pupil. A larger pupil will cause an overall darkening (eg David Bowie’s left eye). A smaller pupil will make the eye look lighter. Certain drugs, certain neurological conditions, certain eye diseases, trauma and surgery can change pupil size.Corneal changes. Corneal scarring can cause an overall lightening effect. Trauma, and infections are common causes of corneal scarring.

Why do blue-eyed people think their eyes change color in the morning?

Iris color never changes from day to day. People make these statements all the time. When all it really is , is that depending on what u wear may accent different colors of your eyes, but they don’t change color. Overall, eyes do change color over years, but not day to day. They have a tendency to change toward the brown tones. Rememberlight brown is very dark yellow, the more yellow in specific areas will give brown spots. All eyes begin in either light blue or Steele blue. The Steele blue typically end up in one of the 10 shades of brown, starting with a nearly yellow light brown sugar. If you take a bright blue eye, and put an even color of yellow over it, you’ll get a beautiful green eye; which just happen to be the rarest of colors.

Is it possible for eyes to change color?

For roughly 10$ U.S. You can use Flora Strips from a costume store to temporarily tint your eye a different color for about an hour.AlsoChromatophores: ability to change color (non specific generalization)  - Irida Chromatophore:  Specific ability to change eye color  Heterochromia : having multiple colors (skin hair eyes etc.., a black and white cow would have Heterochomia)   Heterochromia Iridum : Having multiple eye color  (an eye specific Heterochromia)  - Complete Heterochromia Iridum: 2 different colors for each eye.  - Sectoral Heterochromia Iridum : different colors in one eye. ( like a pie, a ring, or dot )  -Central Heterochromia Iridum : multiple spikes of color in the eye. * Hyperchromic Heterochromia Iridum: extra or over laping spikes of color in the eye.  * most likely to be an Irida Chromatophore  A person who is an Irida Chromatophore may have different color Iris spikes visible at different openings of the iris. This would make the eye color different with mood or lighting. A very small percentage of Irida Chromatophores have been documented to be able to change eye color on command or at will. Some have been able to be trained to do this. Why do my eyes change color all day long?

If  hazel eye color is caused primarily by interference effects rather than  by pigments, so they vary depending on the lighting conditions." but when the muscles around the eye contract or relax changes  the shape of the eye opening. which affect the amount and angle of the  light hitting the eye. Since this can be caused by changes in mood when  The face constantly makes voluntary and involuntary expressions mood can  effect eye color. Not  sure what the article I am quoting means by "Appears" to change color.  My eyes change from Blue Grey to blue when I am calm and various shades  of Blue Green when I am excited.
