Can eating sunflower seeds cause appendicitis?
I would really doubt it... I know a lot of people who like sunflower seeds and i can't imagine how sunflower seeds could be so different from other seeds and cause such an illness
Can sunflower seeds cause stomach cramps?
A few days ago I had half a bag of one of those Large David's sunflower seeds bags and I was fine but then today (about 1 1/2 days later) when I woke up my stomach was tender to the touch. And now about 10 hours later I'm having semi bad cramps following with continuing pooping, is this caused by the sunflower seeds? Thanks -Jessica

I just ate those little bags of sunflower seeds. And i sometimes crack the shell and eat the seed but then sometimes I just swallow the whole seed ( shell with seed inside uncrunched) is that bad for me?
Why would eating sunflower seeds or nuts make me sick?
So why would that be? I feel like someone has stopped up my insides and have millions of bubbles that wont move. I get nauseated and have abdominal pain. Usually this lasts 24-48 hours sometimes more. Sometimes it ends in diarrhea. Any ideas?

They rarely have any form of pet foods, and although everyone tells us that they will get very fat, they are almost 13 and within a couple pounds of their weight when they were 2.If I had a bag of shelled seeds, I would toss a handful in their dinner every night and see if it bothers them. If I had a few unshelled and salted ones in my hand and my dog ate them, I wouldn’t even worry since they tend to eat everything and not too much bothers them. But since I do not know your dog, I cannot predict the outcome. I find testing them with new foods and keeping an eye on their poop to be the most beneficial.So what I am saying is, I find a varied and wide diet to be the most healthy thing for MY dogs, and I think it would benefit many other dogs in the world. Not all dogs can eat a wide variety of food, just like humans, so take your individual dog into account.
