Do The Leftists Who Deny The U-6 Unemployment Figures Also Deny This You Know Who You Are

Will jury duty affect my unemployment benefits in illinois?

thanks to everyone for their help (except pat). turns out that you are considered willing and able to work. also, the money that you recieve, does not count as "wages" per their law.-----------Section 2732.210 Mandatory Jury Service
Mandatory service on a jury shall not constitute employment under the Unemployment Insurance Act (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1987, ch. 48, par. 300 et seq.) Nor shall payments made for such services constitute wages subject to the payment of contributions.
Example: A county requires that all registered voters, except those exempted by law, be available to serve on juries for the county court system. The jurors are paid on a per diem basis for their services. Such services are not voluntary and are compelled by law. Therefore, pursuant to this Section, such services shall not constitute employment nor shall the per diem payments constitute wages.

How much do you get for unemployment?

Although specific eligibility requirements vary from state to state, most states have the same basic standards for collecting unemployment benefits. They include:

-You must be unemployed or working less than full time
-You must meet certain income requirements
-You must be ready, willing, and able to work
-You must have involuntarily left your job

In general, you won't be eligible for benefits if:

-You quit your job simply because you didn't like it
-You're fired for committing a crime (e.g., stealing)
-You've never worked before

For more information, contact your state's local employment office. You can also look in the state government section of your phone book under Unemployment Insurance, Unemployment Compensation, Employment Insurance, or Employment Service. Or, you can try surfing the Internet using these same key terms.

Regardless of which state you live in, you'll receive a weekly unemployment benefit based on how long you were employed and your prior wages. The state will calculate your average weekly wage, and you will receive a percentage of that wage based on your state's formula. You can figure out your average weekly wage by adding up 12 months' worth of pay stubs and dividing that number by 52. If you were salaried, just divide your annual salary by 52.

I'd recommend you to go ahead and call your local unemployment office, and get a clear answer.

Short IQ test. Which figure is least like the others? Can you find the value which doesn’t appear to belong?

I would love to have had more questions like that in school. That can't possibly tell us anything about IQ, but that was a cute way to phrase and fashion an important question. Do you suppose the left is capable of being honest on this one? I'm afraid I have my doubts.

That was a really good summary, though, of two surprisingly comparable Administration's economic data. Does anyone have any explanation for why so many like to reminisce about Clinton's years in office through the 90's, while the left has still not given up on bashing Bush two-and-a-quarter years after Obama and the Democratic super-majority took total control? There have been few times in American history when one party dominated the legislative process so thoroughly, so the results should be easily recognizable and attributable to the responsible Party by anyone who's paid attention.

Picking the different numbers was simple, and honestly, Question 1 seemed as if it could be dealing with unemployment data ahead of reading the explanation. Question 2 was a little harder to recognize, because we're seldom shown government based real unemployment data, and I'm not sure I would have come up with the two almost identical rates just over 9 percent for Bush and Clinton. I was aware, unfortunately, of the current percentage, since there's been so much information released over the past year or so identifying Obama's devastating unemployment figures, including the U6 real unemployment rate.

Maybe that information will be news to someone who hasn't gotten it yet. Thanks for a worthy explanation to a fun sort of test that only falling off the table left leaning partisans could fail. And they'd be doing it purposely.

Why do people look to government to solve all their problems?

Like health care, why is it the governments responsibility to take care of you? Must have missed that in the Constitution. No one has a right to health care, people can not be turned away in the ER anyway even if their illegal. I do not understand why people believe I should have to pay your health care at gun point. (taxes).

Welfare, why should we give money to lazy bastards who would rather pump out 5 kids they can not afford, than work an honest day? ( I know there are exceptions). Please do not tell me paying taxes is patriotic. It is forced wealth redistribution.

The housing crisis, how is it my problem stupid people do not know what an arm is? Read your damn contracts, if you can not pay your obligations your screwed. It is not my problem or other tax payers problems. Greedy lenders crap makes me sick, it takes more than a lender to buy a house does it not? It takes a dumb *** as well.

Can't find a job? maybe you should learn a new skill, or tough it out and take a lesser paying job.

Minimum wage, why the hell does gov. need to tell an employer how much to pay a high school kid, or a complete dumb *** who has made stupid decisions in life? Should their be a maximum wage since there is a minimum?

Enough of my ramblings, your thoughts.

To all, what is the most important issue this election?

The economy, which by the way, has been slowly but steadily improving since 2009. I hope people are smart enough to know that Romney has no secret to fixing it any more quickly.
