Do The Rich Work Harder

Is Getting rich just luck or hard work?

It can be both , attitude can be very important when it comes to being successful . I have seen people go from nothing to everthing AND everything to nothing.
Specifically; I witnessed a friend go through 3 inheritances and become a meth addict.
AND in contrast ; a poor guy living in a junky travel trailer on the bad side of town that bought a $100 used welder and started making a fairly simple item, that within a year had a state of the art fabrication shop and a half dozen employees . He was then bought out by a big corporation and given a supervisory position all is the space of a year.
I also know someone that had a few semesters of junior college that dropped out and went to work at a call center for minimum wage who now works in development for arguably the best company in the world. I personally attribute his success to the fact that he actually cares about the effectualness of truly good customer service,,,,, attitude !

Why do rich parents make their kids work hard?

I would like to give my two cents on it.Hard work — it isn’t just for the working class anymore! We try to lead by example, (and) being hard-working is the best thing you can show to your children and further the legacy continues. You worked hard and have lots of wealth and your kids look upto you, you have already set an example in front of them with your hardwork and struggle and they just need to follow the correct path, so that they can multiply the wealth or start their own business or land a good job. Every child needs to get a taste of what it’s like to do that real hard work. The smart parents who have acquired wealth with sheer hardwork will never spoil their kids with abundance of anything. But there are exceptions too. Kids from wealthy families know that if they will do hard work in their SATs, school or college coursework, they will get enrolled in world class universities and can get better formal education which will surely give them an edge over the other kids who didn't get the privilege to attend those schools. There are many students on scholarships too, but that's totally a different topic. For example, If their mother/father is earning a million dollars per year then they know that by studying hard and getting good experience, they can multiply the wealth in no time. They already have an established track with sponsors, they just need to learn how to drive!

How much harder do rich people work than lower class people?

As the saying goes, rich people don’t work harder they work smarter. Lower class people are taught to believe that a single stream of income IS and OUGHT TO BE enough for a so-called “living wage.” In America that varies between about $15-$25 an hour. (If my numbers seem “wrong” I apologize.)Anyway, rich people get paid “by the sale” or “by the contract.” When they “can’t afford” something desirable they figure out how to set up a PERMANENT income stream to help them meet the purchase price in question. They also figure the “opportunity cost” of maintaining the item before purchase. They treat each credit card as a “30 day loan.” The very first thing they do differently is to STOP (or at least radically change) the process of trading time for money. (07/25/2017)

Hard Work=Success? Yes or No?

Many people link hard work with success. People keep telling me that if I work hard in school, then I'll get better grades and accomplish more things. But I think that some individuals work hard, yet they're still not successful.

A classic example would be immigrants. My parents are immigrants, and they work their asses off. Because of the recession, my mom was laid off, and the only time that she could find work was the night shift at another establishment. She works from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. She, staying up all night, is essentially noctural now. At one point, my dad, working over 100 every two weeks, had 3 jobs. They aren't millionaires. We're definitely in the lower middle class.

Why do people automatically assume that hard work leads to success and wealth? This is a generalization. People who aren't successful and rich work just as hard or even more so, and they still struggle to pay their bills.

Why do rich kids tell other people to work hard?

Everyone knows that rich kids never have to work a day in their life. Well, maybe some do, but there's probably about three dozen or more that don't for every rich kid that does.

To me that seems condescending, that's the last thing I need to hear from someone born into wealth.

Is it true that the harder you work, The more money you earn?

The US government has said that the harder one works the more money they make. I have to say that I feel this to be untrue. I work a minimum wage job at a fast food establishment that I dear not mention here. On a daily basis I have to slave over a hot grill, lug heavy boxes, take out trash, and mop a never seems to get clean floor. I dear anyone to say this isn't hard work. Based on my above statement, should I not be the next Donald Trump? Steve Jobs? Bill Gates, even? Lets focus on Paris Hilton. What hard work does she do to not only contribute to society but what does she do to get so rich. I haven't seen her mop up the fast food place I work at. I disagree with this statement since it does not matter how hard one works but what their name is. Paris Hilton is just collecting money (my tax dollars but thats another topic for another debate) based on what her name is. A person can get rich from simply slacking off and not working hard. Does anyone out there agree or disagree with me on this? The American government needs to rethink this statement for todays society at least. Maybe "back in the day" one could get rich by working hard but that is being phased out by people who work very little and take the lions share from people who do work hard.

Why are most hard working and smart people not rich?

Great points. According to "The Present," it all has to do with the balance in nature. It explains why things like this happens and why the "Think positive" mumbo jumbo is BS.

"For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction." FAB = -FBA

People do not realize what Isaac Newton's third law of motion really means.

Everything is balanced. Everything physical (matter/energy) goes back and forth in balanced circles, cycles, or the equivalent. Birth-death, old-young, big-small, strong-weak, start-stop, up-down, rich-poor, beginning-end, fast-slow, hot-cold, pain-pleasure, win-lose, day-night, full-empty, high-low, in-out, success-failure, united-divided, give-receive, creation-destruction, on-off, positive-negative, etc.

Positive and negative forces moving in balance are the physical universe.

There are no exceptions to the laws of nature Newton revealed. They apply to all matter and energy. Human beings are matter and energy, thus you and all humans are governed by the same laws.

Luck: Good luck and bad luck are the balance in action and the way the balance most affects our lives. Luck is manifested on many levels. There is the day-to-day luck, from little things like getting a good parking space or a bad one, to big things, such as winning the lottery or finding out you have cancer. Then there is the long-term luck. You are lucky if you are born with good looks, money, health, talent and intelligence. You are unlucky if you are born unattractive, poor, sickly and without talent or intelligence. Most people are in between the extremes, but it does not matter, because we are immortal, and it will all balance out. Luck will move back and forth; everyone will get equal amounts of good and bad luck.

What goes around comes around. Everyone gets their turn.

Death is the great equalizer: If you are born with advantages, you can have more good times than bad times in your life, but when you die, you are reborn with disadvantages, and have more bad times than good times and vice versa. In the long run, no one has it better or worse than anyone else does, because life will always balance eventually. It is the known nature of the universe we live in.

Why can't you become rich or wealthy simply by working hard if you are poor to begin with?

Let's try an experiment.Drive out to the desert. The middle of nowhere. Bring a shovel, and, for safety's sake, sunscreen, water, and some sandwiches. Spend an entire day digging a massive trench.Boy, you sure worked hard. Are you any richer?Of course not. No one paid you for all that hard work.Hard work doesn't make you rich. Persuading people to give you money makes you rich. Now, sometimes, people will give you money in exchange for your hard work. But if you look around, you may notice that some of the hardest work — I'm talking back-breaking physical labor — is some of the worst compensated.A wage isn't a reward for hard work. It's a bribe for valuable work. And the value of work is not inherently connected to how hard the work is.Increasingly, valuable work relies on knowledge, and when hiring, employers use credentials as a proxy for that knowledge. Acquiring credentials costs money — actual cash laid out for tuition, and the opportunity cost of studying rather than working for a wage. Poor people often have a difficult time acquiring credentials. Also, acquiring knowledge and/or credentials requires certain skills and aptitudes that some people simply do not have. Some people are great ditch-diggers, but no amount of studying will turn them into great engineers. They can work hard their entire lives, but because the work they perform is of limited value, they will never persuade anybody to give them lots of money in exchange for that work.Hard work alone doesn't make you rich. If you have the right skills, and you work hard, you may become rich — but as it requires the cooperation of other people, it's far from guaranteed.
