Do U Think My Bacteria Back Why They Always Back

Why does my bacterial vaginosis keep returning every month?

Maybe you should ask your gynecologist about this on your next visit...this isn't normal for a woman to continue getting this infection every month. There is a reason why your having this reoccurring infection, and only your gynecologist can offer some insight.Your doing all the right things by taking the probiotics, using unscented products, gels, detergents, etc.Do you happen to have an immune disorder of any kind..that may alter your immune system which may be a cause for these reoccurring infections. And,also if your taking other antibiotics for some other medical purposes other than the BV.Again...the only thing I suggest is that you speak with your gynecologist upon your next visit,or just make an appointment as soon as possible. And,hopefully with testing your gynecologist will find the reason for your continuing BV...Hope all works out for you.Take care.

Does a fishy odor always mean bacterial vaginosis?

I have had a fishy odor for awhile now. I have gone to the doctors before and got treated for it, but it came back... I believe it came back because I didn't take my full prescription. So I went to the doctor again and got treated again. For some reason, THE ODOR STILL CAME BACK! I went to the doctor again and she told me I did not have bacterial vaginosis. I am confused, what else would cause a fishy odor if it is not bacterial vaginosis? I thought that was the only thing that would cause that smell.... Serious answers please and thank you.

I keep getting Bacterial Vaginosis...?

recurrent bacterial vaginosis is a common problem. 1 in 3 women who suffer from BV have recurrent problems. First of try not too worry. Bacterial vaginosis is purely an inflammation of the vagina caused by an introduction or increase in the bad bacteria Gardnerella. The bacteria is always present but is usually controlled by the good bacteria lactobacillus. All number of things can cause the bad bacteria to overgrow, including hygiene. it seems to my your hygiene is good.

Bacterial vaginosis is not sexually transmitted but can be brought on be sex. having sex is opening the vagina and the possibility of bad bacteria introduction is increased.

If the treatment your are taking is antibiotics then they are good at treating BV symptoms but not the cause and that's why it comes back. You could try taking supplements of acidophilus lactobacillus, these can be found in capsule form and are basically the good bacteria taken directly.

You could also try yogurt with live cultures. you can eat it or apply to a tampon and insert it directly into the vagina.

Also other womens health products such as Femanol are very good, you could give those a try.

Do not worry you will get this sorted and then the pregnancy will hopefully fall in to place for you.

Good luck.

p.s bacterial vaginosis is not a yeast infection as somebody earlier mentioned. A yeast infection has a thicker white discharge where as BV has a thinner watery grayish discharge.

What can be some possible causes for reoccurring bacterial infections?

I have had reoccurring bacterial infections for years now. Just recently my monthly period went away, and my vaginal area was hurting/irritatable. Now I have this discharge, with a slight order and I know that is a sign of some type of bacterial/yeast infection. It seems to come back like 3-4 months after I get the anitbotics.

Does anyone have the answer?
