Do you think everything really happens for a reason?
No I do not. Many thing do happen for reason but not all.My 18 year old son died instantly, by being hit by a large truck, on a bright sunny afternoon, in June. He was on his way to visit his girl friend after going to the mall to buy socks.I found no reason in it, (and trust me, no one has spent more hours contemplating this or looking at the evidence, than I.)It was truly a random accident.One in a million to be exact. That is the statistical average for the province I live in each year. He was not one of the youngest, (age 3 the year before), nor the oldest, (90 the year before).He was not high. he was not wearing a helmet, but statistically, I discovered, of the bike deaths in my province, 50 percent are, and 50 percent are not, wearing helmets.I have to bite my tongue when people want to console me with, Everything happens for a reason. Console yourself with that BS, but it is not a one size fits all, phrase. In fact there probably isn’t any one size fits all, phrases in the human languages. Life is not that simple.
Everything Happens for a Reason Debate?
No, no indication of it at all, but I do understand why other might hold this "believe": "I was born in a low-income family and my mother died when I was six. This collection of events inspired me to worked hard and become a professional so that I could help others going thru similar situations. I met a wonderful woman, who eventually became my wife and died in a car accident after 6 years of marriage, leaving me alone to raise 2 children. Her dead really helped become a better father and be there for my kids. After putting both my kids thru college I found out that I have cancer and that my life soon will come to an end. WHY??? uhm..Well, it has to be God's plan for me, of course, it can't be anything else. Things don't just happen, that would be silly, all the regions of the world where over 50% of the population has AIDS, slavery, colonization, love, television, music, racism, it all has to be part of the divine plan, That has to be it. There has to be a supreme creator who knows this stuff, but of course he doesn't need a reason or cause for his existence because HE WAS, IS and ALWAYS WILL BE, he exists out of time and space and by the way, he looks a lot like me too, I know all this might sound cynical, illogical and unexplainable, and sometimes very very convenient, but God has to be the answer AS THERE IS NO OTHER ANSWER AVAILABLE."

Ok, so i'm writing a speech for speech and debate. we have to think of a quote and song and talk about it in the speech. i REALLY want to do 'everything happens for a reason'!!!!!!!!!! i have an example of something that happened when i thought of that quote and its just a really good quote!!!!!!!!!! but i cant think of a song for it!!!!! D: NOT ABOUT LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it's about struggles in life. like someone diagnosed with cancer and having to just keep thinking 'everything happens for a reason. things will get better.' thinking that would make the person feel better and keep staying strong. so PLEASE dont make it about love. everyone keeps doing that when i look up songs about everything happens for a reason. so its not helping. i mean, it can have to do with love. but not ONLY about love. just like generally the struggles in life: love, medical, etc. THANK YOU SOOOOOOOO MUCHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
