Do You Also Experience This Sometimes Why Does It Happen Do I Have Autism Or Asperger Or Am I

What happens if an autistic child gets high?

My cousin is autistic and I was just wondering what would happen if they smoke some bud or eat a weed cookie. (I prefer cookies to brownies) anyways what would happen? I'm not planning on doing it but I'm just curious

As an autistic person, which do you experience more often: hyperfocus or flow?

Both - these are tendencies that I have been able to make part of my career as a scientist. At the moment I am in full flow as I am writing a paper but there are snags in that it is possible to burn out - when that happens I crash and get sick, this happened in April last year. So I have to actually schedule breaks so that I get a break and all the other stuff like eating and childcare gets done. But in full flow it is both brilliant but a bit strange in that I sort of lose interest in aspects that aren’t relevant to the focus which is not a good thing. This is usually the first burn out symptom. Others include my executive function breaking down - like riding a bike without a helmet or forgetting items. So yes I do and can be very creative BUT you have to know when to slow it down and step back or it is burnout time.I have had the opposite when circumstances block me from focusing - such as jobseeking or having a rubbish temporary job. Being disallowed from a focus is as bad as a burnout for me.

Do people with Asperger's experience jealousy?

Asperger syndrome is on the Autistic spectrum. Autistics generally exhibit difficulties in forming social relationships and in communicating. A common error is to assume that these deficiencies are indicative of a lack of sensitivity and caring. The truth is that they have similar emotional experiences to non-autistics but the significant difference is that they process data (emotional included)  differently and because of their affliction they my have problems in exhibiting a response in what no-autistics would describe as 'normal'.  In answer to your question I would suggest that people with Aspergers can, and do, experience jealousy but it may not manifest in ways with which you might expect, or be familiar.  I would take the opportunity to add that I deplore the way so many of the non-affected treat those with the condition. It is not contagious and behind that awkward front lies an intelligent person who interacts with the world in their own unique way.

Can a person with Asperger's be straight?

Um, asperger's is a kind of autism. it has nothing to do with sexual orientation. so yeah, you can be straight if you have asperger's.

Those with asperger partners/kids/friends etc etc..............................

The positives WAY outshine the negatives. I mean, my friend is smart, beautiful, funny... I look up to her in a lot of ways. She just has trouble sometimes. When people say "ignore the things people say" and she claims she can't... she really CAN'T. It's a compulsion that makes her react and it makes it harder. Usually I step in and tell people to step off. That's the joy of her having a big girl for a friend. Usually they're afraid of me when I'm angry. 1) I'm large and obviously have some serious she-muscles. And 2) Welcome to American descrimination- I'm a Muslim. They're terrified of me for sneezing half the time. She has my back when people are rude to me, and I have her back when she needs it. I feel cheated that we aren't really blood sisters, honestly. :-) <3 her to bits.

How can I handle an autistic teenager that has become aggressive?

There are centers for treatment of autistic children. Depends How aggressive he's getting! (I assume your teen is a guy.) If he's at the higher end of autism--Asperger's--there is a way that worked with a couple of teen's that I used to work with. It was a special SP Ed classroom, self-contained in a mental health building with 8 students, ages 14 - 19--all with different mental health Dx's. ALL had communication difficulties in various stages! Most could be volatile if pushed a little too far. I studied Piaget's Cognitive Stages, and since verbal interaction was difficult for most, I dropped down to the DIAGRAMMING of information and behavioral traits. THEY ALL JUMPED ON IT LIKE CANDY!!! THIS was something they were GOOD at!! We worked at Glasser's Basic Emotional Needs--Belonging, Power, Freedom and Fun; Used Berne's Games People Play as the VEHICLE devised by the individual student with which to get their emotional Needs met--COVERTLY!! When kids can't get their needs met directly when young, then they devise COVERT, indirect behavioral patterns with which to get those met--in spite of the adults! Once these students began diagramming their behavioral patterns, they could ID which Needs were gratified through the "Game". All most ALL of the behavioral patterns obtained ALL 4 Needs!---------CJ Jung writes that diagramming bypasses the "human pain" involved in the verbalizing of one's own behavior. "Information Technology" or "IT" is foremost now in transmitting accurate information!!! This works like a CHARM with human emotinal needs, too! I have an old training tape I used to give workshops in KCMO at the Midwest Symposium for Behavior Disorders in the middle '90's. This tape is of "Bob", with Aspergers. He is eloquent in not only diagramming his behavior, FEELINGS and Family of Origin structure--but in VERBALIZING them, too!!! I don't know of any place that does that--but it is so NEEDED to help young and teen-aged kids understand AND verbalize their own behavioral patterns---AND KNOW that that was the only way in his family that he felt he could get those Needs met. AND that emotional NEEDS are just that!! We HAVE to have those Needs met daily, just as we do the physical Needs!

Why did my son turn severely autistic after getting his vaccine shots?

This isn't the mainstream reason... but if you want to be a conspiracy theorist.... vaccines contain demons. They are injecting people with demons. Sometimes that can cause what we call "autism", a partial takeover by demons.

But vaccines can really cause autism either way. There is a correlation, but science won't confirm the causation because well... pharmaceutical companies are too big and powerful to let that happen. Many of my physician and med student friends tell us never to donate to cancer research because it's bogus, they have no intention of finding a cure, and they get a few hundred dollars from pharmaceutical companies for every vaccine they administer. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1508536/
