Do You Believe This Quote To Be True

Do you believe that this quote by Ayn Rand is true?

Try asking a rape victim that one and see how that turns out for you.

And Ayn Rand was a fascist, and it is no wonder that Republicans like her writing so much. Every single one of her books follows a pattern.

Someone "wakes up" that he or she is being oppressed, and finds a way to escape the oppression. Once finding freedom, he or she thinks back on all the friends lost because he or she ran away. He or she decides to help free them also.

Here's where things take a turn for the worse.

Anyone who does not join up with the "freedom movement" will be eliminated in glorious "cleansing" when the main character decides that anyone who disagrees with him or her hates freedom and must die if freedom is to be achieved.

Fascism is reborn out of the ashes of "Fascism."

Ayn Rand's problem, and by extension the Republicans' problem, was not that freedom did not exist...it was that they were not the ones doing the oppressing (yet).

Poll: Do you believe this quote is true? "We grow too soon old and too late smart."?

Yes. I wonder where it originated. My mother was the only person I ever knew who used it. She was a school teacher.

Do You Believe In the Quote: "You Pay for What You Get?"?

I've actually never heard that quote. The familiar quote is "You get what you pay for," which means that if you want quality, you have to expect to pay for it. If you pay a cheap price, you'll get low quality. I find it to be very true, both in merchandise and service.

What do you think of the quote, "Everything in the Bible is true, and some of it actually happened?"?

I think it's a load of bull.

Do you believe in the quote "What goes around comes around"?

Such lines are based on instilling a fear, and driving action. “If you do something wrong, it will come back and hit you” There is no point acting out of fear. You should choose your actions. In the present moment, whenever in dilemma, do what you think you would be proud of. Leave the rest on the world to figure out.The problem is, we seldom are true to ourselves, and choose some actions even when we know we would regret them. Hence, these quotes start showing short term results by scaring people. However, it doesn’t work in the long run.Hope it helps!

Do you believe in this quote; 'Hate is easy; Love takes Courage'? Please explain your opinion?

hating is so easy...u just got to show attitude or dislikeness
but to love some one requires lot of courage, belief in the other person as well as in ur self....and also love requires so much effort where as hating seems so easy it doesnt cost a moment

Why do people believe this quote: "If you love someone, set them free. If they come back they’re yours"?

Because if you truly love someone, you'll want them to be happy, even if that happiness isn't with you. You can try to force someone to stay, but what you'll be left with is a husk of a relationship, an empty shell. Not everyone thinks like you, sometimes retrospect teaches people that what they had was good. Sometimes we set each other free not because we dislike the other, but because our lives aren't in the place to have them at the time. There's a million reasons why one might go back, granted not all good, and rarely do relationships succeed the second time around. But still, some people find there's enough reason to try again. I've heard of couples reuniting decades later, in their old age, and they end up happier than ever.Never say never. Life has its ways of making us do things we were so sure we wouldn't.
