Do You Ever Wonder What Life Will Be Like In Then Next 70 Years

Do you ever wonder what life will be like in 20 years?

I always wonder what the trends and culture will be like in 20 years, in 2030. You know like how the 60's was different from the 70's and so on. I wonder how everyone will dress, what type of music will be popular, what type of president we will have, everything. What do you think?

Also how old will you be in 20 years? I'll be 40...damn

What advice would a 70 or 80 year old person give about the way the life should be lived?

If I may, I would like to add to what Dan Maloney wrote, especially regarding his advice to “Act happy.”My father acted happy throughout his life. He had many friends, and he lived just past the age of 90. Not only did he act happy, he went out of his way to help others, including being a Boy Scout Leader for many years. I tend to take after him, almost always with a smile on my face, and I would certainly say that my life has been blessed with good fortune overall, with a few potholes along the way for contrast.I’ve endeavored to set a good example for those closest to me—especially my children, and on several occasions I’ve attempted to understand, and even explain, why acting happy works. Prior to the study of the wisdom of Kabbalah, the best explanation I could come up with was the concept of fate called Karma, as in: “What goes around comes around. Now, I know that acting is serious business because it’s a law of nature, i.e., a force that operates much like the force of gravity. (We may not understand it, but it’s always there.) The habit of acting in a certain way becomes second nature, until we’re unable to act any other way because it brings us pleasure. If you combine acting happy with acting favorably toward others—for example, by not spreading negatives about others as Dan mentions, then you have a winning “recipe” for happiness. This is because the sensation of happiness emerges as a result of feeling that you’re in a correct social environment, i.e., a supportive and balanced one.Hopefully, I’ve whetted your appetite to explore this matter more, as it is indeed a way to influence your fate. Do you ever find yourself wondering what life would be like without someone important to you? How would you feel and what would it change?

I deeply loved my husband. The sunshine of my life, the one who's presence in a room made my head pound. I lost him. What has happened to change my life is that love, the love I had for him went when he did. Since love is a reciprocal emotion one can not sustain it alone. The love I spoke of was a love l must turn inward and give to myself, not that l am deserving of the magnitude of that kind of love but it is me who knows that kind and verosity of it. I'm turning the energy inward for healing and self respect , for acceptance. What I would change is the intensity and all consuming level l placed on him. My dissapointment was unfathomable because l made him my life.We all fall short in our humanity, to place someone on such a high platform of importance is to see the domino effect in your life, when he went it all went, one tear at a time.

What would life be like if the gender of a child wasn't determined until the age of puberty?

Consider these 2 scenarios. You are born extremely poor. Your family earns barely enough for 2 square meals. Will you be disappointed by your life? Yes, of course! You are rich and are gambling. You get over confident because you have pretty much figured out the game and nothing can stop you from winning. You go All-fucking-IN. And then, you lose. Will you be disappointed or devastated? If it were possible to measure disappointment in each case, case 2 would score much, much higher than case 1.Why?Because it was your conscious decision. You choose it. So when you fail you will be totally devastated. Think about it. How often do you hear about someone committing suicide just because they were poor. It is much less than hearing about those who commit suicide because they lost in gambling or stock market or in something similar.Coming back to the question, once kids make a decision regarding their gender they will have to live with it. Forever. The next 60–70 years or so. Honestly, kids aren’t smart enough to make such impactful decisions at the age of 12; something that will completely redefine their lives. Many will make mistakes, take wrong decisions and live to regret it for the rest of their lives. The number would be much, much greater than the number of non-cis genders we have now.

Is Earth all one BIG test to get into Heaven or Hell?

Well we're all born on this earth to live an approx 70 years before we die, and based upon our faith and actions on earth we all go to Heaven or Hell (according to believers anyway). Seeing as heaven and hell are eternal, i'm guessing earth is just this test set by God to filter the people out? And then once earth blows up that's the end of it all, and there is no longer anymore testing?

When a baby dies, do they go to Heaven or hell? They have had no time to do the test. And if it's based upon baptisim, is that fair? Because it was not to their ability to decide their faith at their age, rather that of their parents...

What was Life like in the 1970's era?

Major trends included a growing disillusionment of government, advances in civil rights, increased influence of the women's movement, a heightened concern for the environment, and increased space exploration. Many of the "radical" ideas of the 60's gained wider acceptance in the new decade, and were mainstreamed into American life and culture. Amid war, social realignment and presidential impeachment proceedings, American culture flourished. Indeed, the events of the times were reflected in and became the inspiration for much of the music, literature, entertainment, and even fashion of the decade.

Do you ever wish you were born in the 70's or 80's?

I do. I was born in the late 90's and I'd give almost anything to experience what my parents did. I just don't like it here today... everybody is just so uptight and things are so expensive. Dad said you'd be able to buy so much as a kid with twenty dollars. In my neighborhood it's not very safe for a kid my age to walk around alone, but my dad lived in the same neighborhood and he used to be able to be outside all day without anybody knowing where he was. I've been told that I would've like the 70's and 80's by my teachers. xD Do you wish you could experience at least a few days back then? Or would you want to go back?
