Do You Find Biography Books Boring

What would make an autobiography interesting?

I know I'm still young but my childhood and struggles have been great. My life has been one big story book and I've thought many times about creating an Autobiography.
I want to know what you think would make an interesting autobiography so that i can take your comments and see if my life story fit the bill.
Perhaps if my autobiography is what people like to read about I would get it published.

If you think that 17 is too young to be writing one then perhaps would it make more sense to write a fictional story based off my life? With little twists and differences?

Please enlighten me.

A good autobiography book under 200 pages?

Autobiographies are actually really interesting, if you choose the right one. I personally like stories about either brain science or strange human interest stories.

I read one about a woman who was a brain scientist and who suffered a stroke, so she knew what was happening to her brain as she was losing function. I read one about a woman who remembered nearly every moment of her life since the age of 14. I read another about identical twins who were separated at birth and discovered each other when they were in their 30s.

Marley and Me is an autobiography, if you like dogs!

Pick an autobiography of someone who is really interesting. If you're into sports, find someone from your favorite sport who's written a book.

Autobiographies SOUND like they'd be so boring, but most of the time they're super interesting and read really well, like a novel.

What are the most inspiring biographies that are also not boring to read?

I have read quite a few of the recommended books so far, but they are all men. In response to the last part about women, there are many great women who have done interesting things and had books written about them. You might try Helen Keller’s autobiography The Story of My Life, or biographies of Eleanor Roosevelt, Madam Curie (Radioactive), Diary of Anne Frank, I Am Malala, Maya Angelou’s I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings.I’m sure you can find many more.

Is it good to read biography or I should read other kind of books?

I love biographies! If you enjoy leaning about the lives of other interesting people, it's a great way to learn--about history, about art, about business, about life. You should read the books you want to read.  Most of us don't do well being too self-conscious about what types of books are best for us....

Is the book Night by Elie Wiesel boring?

I am in seventh grade and I have to read a World War II nonfiction book for class. I was thinking about reading Night by Elie Wiesel, but I want to know if it is boring or not. Because I tried to read The Hiding Place, but I was bored out of my mind! So could somebody who's read Night tell me if it is exciting, because I really want to read a book that I'm actually interested in. If it is boring, could you please recommend a different World War II NONFICTION book BESIDES Anne Frank. Anne Frank's Diary is boring.

How can I learn to read books, if I find reading even long quotes boring?

To efficiently read a book, you mustn’t think of it as something you have to do.Reading a book is not reading a book. It’s discovering a story. If you’re reading a book, immerse yourself in the story. Don’t count the pages, don’t see how long until the next chapter comes up, and certainly don’t distract yourself with anything else. When you read, you should be translating the words, culminating, and projecting the story into your mind as you see fit.Even with a nonfictional book - a biography? Put yourself in the shoes of the person you’re reading about. You might discover much more than you might read. Before long, you’ll find yourself on the edge of your chair, devouring the words and hoping the book never ends so that the story may keep going on. If you’re in the story, the book flies away, and you’ll find yourself at the end of the book, hoping there is more story even if there isn’t.The rest is up to your imagination.Don’t think reading a book is a chore or something you need to do - it’s a method of discovering new stories you’ve never known before!
