Do You Find It Just A Bit Ironic That Obama Minimized A Tour Of The Southern Border As A Photo-op

Do you not consider a shame that all the US TV channels and newspapers tried to influence people for vote for Hillary Clinton?

Yeah…did you notice, for example, that they spend about ten minutes harping on Trump’s bribing the Attorney General investigating him for fraud with an illegal contribution, but couldn’t spare more than a week to explain that Bill Clinton had met with the Attorney General investigating Hillary over her emails, so they would fully understand the possibility that there was something untoward going on?For that matter, they barely mentioned her email scandal every single day for a year, but they prattled on and on about Trump University for almost three days! These are just a couple of examples; I could go on and on. Let’s look at results, though: According to this ABC News poll (Trump Rated More Honest; Contest Stays Even), in August, people answered “Clinton” more than “Trump” to the question of which one is more honest by about 5 percentage points. By October, Trump was winning the same question by 8 points. How did that happen, if not that the media was giving that impression? And bear in mind—objectively, Clinton has been FAR more honest in public. (509 fact-checks later, Trump vs. Clinton)No, if you look at the facts, the majority of the media was influencing people to vote against Hillary. Whether this was their intent is another question—I think it certainly was the intent of outlets such as Fox News and Rush Limbaugh (which, yes, are part of the media), but probably not the intent of ostensibly objective networks and newspapers, whose coverage is more shaped by a variety of commercial considerations, journalistic imperatives, and the ripple effects of what other media does. (And, yes, there are outlets such as MSNBC which were actually pro-Clinton.)If you still think the media was helping Clinton, consider this: Donald Trump is due to appear in court in a month to answer a lawsuit alleging that he raped a 13-year-old girl. (Donald Trump rape accuser gets Dec. 16 court date for federal civil suit: Report) Did you know that? I’ve spoken to voters who did not. Do you really believe for a moment that if Hillary—or Bill Clinton—were accused of raping a child, that the media wouldn’t have made sure that everyone knew about it? Let alone that a media which was TRYING to help Clinton would have buried that story?

Why is there such a huge disparity between the death toll in Gaza and Israel although both sides have been firing brutally at each other?

Here are a few reasons:Uneven resources:Hamas does not have the sophisticated weaponry and technology that Israel possesses. Consider Israel's Iron Dome system, which intercepts and blocks incoming rockets. The Israeli military has said that it has depleted most of Gaza's rocket supply and Israel Defense Forces says more than 3,000 rockets have been fired from Gaza at Israel. The U.S. provides Israel $8.5 million in military aid each day, while it gives the Palestinians $0 in military aid. (1) The US gives $3.1bn a year to Israel. It all goes on the Israeli military.  Much of that takes the forms of weapons directly. Israel spends about $15bn a year on its army, so the US pays for one fifth of the Israeli army. (2)Rockets VS MissilesA missile is also a rocket but the difference is that, it hold explosive for mass destruction. A rocket is just used to propelling vehicle like in satellites etc. Missiles are self-guided by the help of inertial navigation system, whereas rockets are shot with the hope of causing destruction.Rocket Damage (Sappers examine a rocket fired at the coastal city of Ashkelon, Sunday, July 13, 2014 -www.timesofisrael.com)Missile Damage (A general view shows the destruction in Gaza City's Shejaiya neighborhood, Saturday, July 26, 2014 - www.timesofisrael.com) Iron DomeIron Dome is mobile all-weather air defense system developed by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems. The system is designed to intercept and destroy short-range rockets and artillery shells fired from distances of 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) to 70 kilometres (43 mi) away and whose trajectory would take them to a populated area.  The House of Representatives last month passed a defense authorization bill that would authorize $351 million for the Iron Dome program in fiscal 2015, which begins Oct. 1.Population DensityGuess which one is the open air prison with the red line separating Gaza and Israel - so what happens if you fire a missile in the dense area? A rocket in the non-dense area? Its a no brainer (unless you following news from Fox Channel) (3)Edit:Sources:(1) http://...Source: The Congressional Research Service’s report “U.S. Foreign Aid to Israel(2) http://Mirror UK - http://Obama wants a Gaza ceasefire, but the US gives Israel 95% of its weapons (3) http://Cities in Transformation
