Can you change the colors of your braces?
The colors on your braces are the rubber bands that hold the wire in place. About every month when you go to the ortho to get it tightened, they are actually changing the wire, so they have to take out the rubber bands. After they put a new wire in you can get a different color rubber band. You can change the colors.

It is normal for the ties to change color due to the foods that you eat. Lighter colors especially will change color. A lot of times people see extreme color change if they eat really strongly colored food, such as curry, ketchup, mustard, tea, coffee, etc. The best thing you can do is brush immeadiately after you eat so that food doesn't have time to stain the ties, and also pick darker colors that will not show the staining. Also, darker colors tend to make your teeth look whiter. Avoid clear, white, and neon colors. Good luck with your braces, and keep up the good hygiene!

WEll no you cant you can only change your colors when ever you get an appointmen set up and i know mines were like every six weeks so thats kinda messed up..But also i found out that you just cant make an appointment just to change the colors either~Good Luck~

How often can i change the color for my braces?
first of all when you get braces on they don't hurt its a couple of hours later you are unable to bite down this lasts for a couple of days but paracetamol can be taken to reduce pain. next i have had nearly all the colours and i have to say they all looked great it didn't matter if they didn't match. i would recommend red and green for christmas ( these are really cool) i tend to go for orange and a bold colour as they seem to match really well, also try and avoid light pastel colours as they seem to stain after eating certain foods this can make your teeth look dirty. finally i was as curious as you you will be fine , i have really low pain tolerance and i was fine so im assuming you will be if anytihnig it is boring

It totally depends on the patients and to an extent the severity of their problem !There are different types of braces :Metal - made of metalCeramic - made of ceramicAcrylic / plastic - made of plasticLingual - is the type of braces which is placed on the inner side of the teeth and not visible outside .Invisalign - it is a type of Orthodontic treatment where a mould of your teeth are taken considering the difference in tooth angulations and a custom made appliance is made by labs specifically designed to make the invisalign which will correct your malocclusion or misaligned teeth ! You are given instructions on when and how to wear it and you need to visit your Orthodontist as suggested !So it depends on what the patient wants !! Talk to your Orthodontist about it and get his consult !

They change your braces colors each visit approximately every 2 months. Same thing happened to me, my ortho wouldn't let me pick. the colors will not hurt, they just change the little rubber Os on your brackets. although, the "tightening" or changing to a stronger wire may cause soreness on your gums hope this helps =]
