Do You Have Food That You

Do you have to pay for food in prison?

In the U.K. it would be yes and no.They feed you 3 “meals” a day, but I was constantly starving, so imo, you couldn’t live on what you’re given alone. The budget for a day is about £1.40 per person, that’s for breakfast, lunch and dinner.Lots of rice, lots of potatoes, lots of carbs basically, and not a lot of protein. That’s why canteen is so important. I was enhanced, so on my wing, we had a microwave and a fridge, which meant we could buy things like eggs, cheese, tomatoes, fruit, as well as the hundreds of other things on offer.Being enhanced is important, as it gives you £30 a week (of your own money) to spend. And if you’ve got a job, that goes onto your canteen too, so at one point, I was at close to £50 a week, and if you can spend £50 a week of your own money, then food isn’t a problem. It’s when you’ve only got £15 to spend that you have problems. You could buy 3 packs of tobacco, that’s it.With £50 you could buy 4 packs, plus 12 eggs, mayo, butter, tomatoes, noodles, cup’a’soups, space raiders, the works. So if you went in with nothing, they’d give you enough food to keep you alive, but you certainly wouldn’t be putting weight on. It was always a plastic bag with 2 tea bags, a small bag of cereal for breakfast, then a stale sandwich for lunch, then some nasty-ass “meal” on a child sized plate for dinner. That’s also when you get your breakfast pack that you have to eat that night because you were so hungry.Sunday’s we had a “roast” which was always a chicken leg, and it was always a left leg! I thought somebody was joking with me, but when I went in, sure enough, they were all left legs.I asked why? He said the right legs are slightly bigger and cost slightly more, so they only buy the left leg.I WILL NEVER eat a chicken leg again as long as I live!

Do you have any food that you dislike?

Nope I love all food
I have ate pig feet
Beef balls and all kinds of weird things
All seafood of any kind
All vegetables and fruit
All grains and dairy

Would you have to get your stomach pumped if you had food poisoning?

I had it once from BK and believe me, the body has it's own way of purging. You don't want to know the rest.

What kind of food do you eat in the us marines?

Depends on where you are and your marital status. If you are married, you have a house and are given money to buy food to eat. If you are unmarried, you live in the barracks and eat at the chow hall. (or do like me, and spend your money in a way they don't want you to and buy your own food) The chow halls in Japan were ok. Not five star dining, but good. NC, I'm not too impressed with. They remind me of the second grade school lunches I ate as a kid. Iraq chow halls are the best I've seen so far. Problem with those, is you are usually so tired or working the wrong schedule and you miss out. Then you eat what ever you bought at the PX/had sent to you/MRE (Meals Ready to Eat) which aren't bad the first time you have them. It's after about two weeks, that you start to dislike every one of them. But food isn't something to worry about too much, if you join the Marines. You'll learn pretty quick, anything is better than nothing, and appreciate what ever you have. Though, obviously some things more than others.

What type of food can I feed my cat, other than pet foods?

You mean human food? Hmm, cats’ tastes vary, but your cat would probably love it if you were to open a can of tuna. :-)Don’t worry if commercial cat food isn’t available for a while. When I was a child, my mom fed our cat the same food the family were eating. That cat lived a long and healthy life, so obviously the diet wasn’t bad for the cat, even though it wasn’t ideal.Fish and meat of any kind would be very welcome. (A cat can eat fish and meat raw, but for safety reasons you may want to cook them. That childhood cat adored raw minced meat, fresh from the butcher’s shop, above anything else.) The following items would also be good - although not every cat likes them: cooked eggs, cooked vegetables (many cats are fond of broccoli, sweetcorn or beans), rice, hummus, porridge. My Sulu recommends baked beans in tomato sauce. :-)Cats can also eat potatoes and bread, although most will only eat a bit of those.Milk can be great, and also a bit of cheese and yoghurt. But be careful with this, because some cats have a lactose intolerance and can’t digest milk or dairy. If you’re not certain whether or not your cat can digest milk and dairy, give it just a spoonful and observe if it’s ok. (If your cat vomits or gets funny poo, don’t give it any more.)Basically, you can let your cat have a bit of almost any human food. It’s not an ideal diet in the long term, because cats have different nutritional needs. But it’s not a problem for a while, as long as you include meat or fish. Here are the exceptions: grapes, raisins, chocolate, onions, garlic, alcohol, chewing gum. Those are toxic for cats. Don’t give your cat those. Also, avoid salt and spices, especially very salty foods. If the canned tuna is preserved in brine, rinse it before giving it to your cat.I hope this helps.PS: The question I answered got merged with a different one, which isn’t quite the same. The question I replied to asked what food to give a cat until the original asker could get to the shop to buy cat food. This implies just a very short time. The question it was merged with is about a situation where cat food isn’t available, which may be a permanently. — Please read my answer in the context it was intended.
