Do You Have Tips For My Haircut I

How much do you pay for your haircut?

I paid $35 for my haircut. Excluding tax and tips.

I LOVE my new hair and i think it was worth every penny. How much do you usually pay for your haircut and do you think it's worth it?

How much do you tip for a $350 haircut?

I am so glad to see this question!!!!!!!!The other day I got some foils (highlights) and a trim and blowout - total bill was $375 and I gave her a 50$ tip and then when I got in the car I realized that wasn’t enough and decided maybe I shouldn’t be spending $425 a month on my hair :(I can, financially, but feel guilty doing it since I’m a Mom and I shouldn’t be so selfish (then again…. it’s not like I’m not buying them every single thing they ask for including skiing almost every weekend, etc. ) That’s a question in itself, sorry! lol….To stay on topic - 20 percent appears to be the minimum so you probably need to tip 75–100 bucks ….. maybe hair cutting school is better than med school for making money, lol ;-)

How much should I tip for a $25 haircut?

I think that $5.00 should be sufficient enough. This could be your regular cosmetologist/salon person, that you have a long time professional relationship with as well. If you have given her/him/them/they gifts and greeting cards and such, on previous occasions, it's essentially up to you how much you feel you should give or leave as a tip. It depends on where and how one feels about tipping. Last year, I went to a new place to have my eyebrows waxed. The technician asked me for a $5.00 tip right up front-before they had even started. I did not go back there again. If they are pushy or the place of business has a policy of a required gratuity out in front, I may not even go there. I come from a place in the Great Midwest, where you tip if you like their service. This sends a message if you like how you are treated or not. The idea of trying to have an enforced tipping policy placed upon one is not a way to improve their service. If I don't have tip money sometime, I shouldn't feel like I am being pressured into tipping anyway. My regular service people will tell me a tip isn't always necessary, because they are good people. T-I-P-S is after all and acronym for “To Insure Prompt Service.” It is a way for all of us to send a message about the service we may receive. If one is not treated properly, respectfully, and right, then I will not be going back there. You may also do the same. It is our little way of voting on most of services we may receive. We can also learn and tell them much by word of mouth reviews we tell to our friends and vice versa, and any new aquainteces about whenever they ask us for our opinion about any place we know and have frequented.I hope I have answered your question to you satisfaction?Be well and careful out there… Take care….

How much tip for a $40 men's haircut?

Tipping for a professional service like a haircut depends solely on your impression of how good a job the person did. Once I tipped $20 on a $15 haircut because the girl spent over an hour hacking my mullet down to a short cut, simply because she earned it. Once I didn’t tip at all because it was clear that the hair cutter just didn’t care. He was harsh, rough, nicked my scalp and ears with scissors, and didn’t groom the ears or eyebrows. He’s lucky I paid for the haircut. In general, I tip between $5 and $10 regardless of the price of the cut. If they do an amazing job and I have a good time, then I’ll tip more so they’ll do as good a job next time.

How much of a tip do you leave fro an $11 haircut?

$5...I always give a $5 tip when I get my haircut.

Do you tip for a strip-mall haircut?

I don't care much about the cut as long as it's short and managable, my cousin used to do it but doesn't have time any more. So I go to a SuperCuts, or Fantastic Sams, etc, I have no brand-loyalty, I go wherever is closer, least busy, or running a special, and I usually pay $14-16 once a month. Then I get the reciept and it has the restaurant-style "Tip" line at the bottom, I always get self consious about this. Are these girls living off of tips, or do they even expecting a tip for a 10 minute job? I don't tip the guy changing my oil, mowing my lawn, or fixing my furnace, and these are all more important services to me than a haircut. And I know the answer from you salon owners/employees, trust me, my wife tips more than my haircut costs, but she gets the perm, color, trim, etc. I'm talking about the strip mall, walk-ins welcome, "short on top, #4 on the sides" type of cut.

What would you give as a tip for a $12 haircut for a man?

Yeah, 2 or 3 dollars depending on how satisfied you are
with the cut.
Considering your tip of $3 is a 25% tip, I'd say your cutter
did very well by you and he/she will be very much looking forward
to your next visit.

How much do you tip a hairdresser for a haircut?

Owners collect all of the money for the service they provided. A smaller tip (10%) is adequet.

"Renters" collect all of the money for the service they provided however, they pay rent to the owner of the salon. A good rule of thumb is 15-20%.

If they are an employee of a salon they get a minimum daily wage (between 30.00 and 40.00 a day) and live on their tips. A good rule of thumb is about 25-30%.

A 10.00 haircut would be 1.00 for the "boss". 1.50-2.00 for a "renter" and 2.50-3.00 for an employee.

However, if the service was fantastic or you're a loyal customer for years more is always appreciated.

Is it bad to not tip after getting a haircut?

It is absolutely bad form, bad manners, and insulting to the hairdresser not to tip them, if you're living in the USA (I cannot speak for other countries).  Any time someone performs a personal service for you should expect to include a 20% service charge in addition to their standard pricing unless they have done a horrendous job.  In such a case, you need to inform them so they:1. Have the opportunity to correct it2. Have the opportunity for someone else in their salon to correct it3. Refund your payment After not tipping in the above mentioned cases, you will not be retuning to the salon after stiffing the hairdresser and avoiding a hack job.
