Do you have to be skinny to be anorexic?

I don't think so. While being dangerously underweight is very common in people with anorexia, the definition of anorexia is pathological dieting and an unnatural fear of gaining weight. Symptoms of anorexia include obsessive calorie counting, following extremely restrictive diets (about 1000 cals a day or less), cutting up food into tiny portions, and viewing their body in an unrealistic way (thinking they are fat when they are actually extremely thin.) Often there are also physical signs (missing three or more menstrual cycles, for example.) Having a low BMI is one of the symptoms and could possibly be part of the criteria for diagnosis - however, I would assume that in the early stages of anorexia the person may be an average size, as they have not had the disorder long enough to expiereince the harmful weight loss typically associated with anorexia.Remeber that there are other eating disorders as well, and if you think you have anorexia then I would advise you check the symptoms of bulimia. If a person is not skinny but has an eating disorder, then it would be more likely to be bulimia, or the binge eating/purging type of anorexia, but it would still be possible for the, to have the restricting type.If you do have an eating disorder (or anything else, really) then I hope you recover from it, remeber you can always message me if you need someone to talk to :)

How to be ANOREXIC skinny without being ANOREXIC?

I am a model (stats: 32-24-36) but I would love to look slightly thinner for better job purposes.

I know for a fact most models are naturally thin NOT ANOREXIC. However, in order to get thinner and not look exactly "fit"...how would I do that WITHOUT going anorexic and still being heathy?

I don't care how long it may take but I would love as fast as possible...

Can you be anorexic and NOT super skinny?

First of all, yes, you can be anorexic and still not be underweight.
But from what I've just read, you can be on te verge of being anorexic. I have question though, how fast did you lose all that weight? If quickly, then that may be "unhealthy" from what others say. And by you thinking you look "obsessed" even when you are not, then that is a mental problem (a symptom for anorexic).

Honestly, I started to diet just 3 weeks( maybe more) ago, and now I staring looking at pro-anorexic websites, and search the web for "pro-ana tip", looking at thin models, and looking for pro-anorexica quotes. And like you told me how you sometimes eat a lot, even when you're full, but you can't stop, you are binging.I know how you feel, because that's exactly what I do sometimes.

Trust me, if you wat to stop binging, then stop "not eating". By not eating, it tells your brain to no eat, but after a while, your brain gives up, and say "oh what the fu*k, I don't fu*king care... OH MY GOD I haven't ate at all,and I NEED ALL of these food! ARRRGGGG! "...and I'm to kidding.

So what I think you should do is to see he you lost ALL the weight from before, and if you STILL want to lose weight, then slowly start eating normally. Like small breakfast, then small lunch, that a small dinner, weather that o breakfast, no lunch, and a small dinner. I know it might be hard, but it wil also stop you from binge eat.

How long does it take to become Anorexic skinny?

From experience it apparently took people 3 weeks to notice how skinny I was becoming, I never realized it i thought i was still fat. However if you are looking from someone else's point of view it would all depend on how terrible the disease is. anywhere from 3 weeks and on i'm sure.
I have studied the body and how much it needs to weigh to be healthy. YOU ARE NOT FAT. You would actually be one of the people that would be the perfect weight for your height <3

I used to want anorexia, just so I could be skinny. Just so I could lose weight.I wanted it; until I got it.I stopped eating almost entirely, I became obsessed with counting my calories, and with exercising. If I had more than 400 calories a day I would go on at least 2 runs, and drink a fuckton of water.I would chew gum to keep myself from feeling hungry. I felt weak all the time. I got into fights with my mum over how much I was eating. I bruised easily, scars were vibrant.My body was shutting down.I lost 10 kilograms. I slept all the time. My grades were slipping, my concentration gone.Food was constantly on my mind, in my dreams. I would bake a lot of stuff, and never eat it, I’m still not sure why.I wanted to walk down that path, and so I did.And I wish I never did. It’s so hard to recover, so, so hard. A lot of the thoughts still float around in my head, when I look in the mirror, when I go to take another bite.You don’t want to walk down that path, I promise. Please don’t.

How do you become anorexic?

i know you don't want to hear that you don't want to hear that you shouldn't do this, but you should. i had anorexia and bulima (still dealing with it) and let me tell you - its not fun. not eating for three or four days takes your energy. and not to mention the bags under the eyes, or not being able to breathe. its really dangerous, and as an anorexic myself, you shouuld listen. it took me a while to realize that i was killing myself slowly. now, if you want to die, go ahead. i hope you like your hair falling out, blacking out unexpectedly, and being depressed. its so horrible i cant even explain it. it is seriously depressing. i felt horrible. please get help, because in the end, it will be bad. you'll end up gaining weight, losing weight, gaining weight losing weight. your relationship with food will become so bad you will cry (just like i did) because you saw a cake and you felt you were too disgusting to eat it. do you want to be so skinny it looks like it hurts when you walk? i was so bad my teachers told my mom, my bf even told me i looked anorexic. i'll tell you one thing: boys don't like superskinny girls. you should love yourself for you and you only. forget about your superskinny friend Sammy, because she's dealing with something horrible. don't join her, try to help her. and try to help yourself. instead of starving, purging, and fasting, just stop eating snacks, cut down on the junk and fried food, drink water, and low fat or fat free milk, and have some self confidence. trust me, anorexia is not the path you want to walk down.

How to become really skinny WITHOUT being anorexic?

When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together.
If you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger appetite, which
will lead to increase of weight, or muscle grow
underneath the fat layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet without
exercising, you will become flabby and will have excess skin. For
diet, go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food
after 7 p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending on
your initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. If
you don't eat wheat then you don't eat all those sticky, fatty goey
cakes, you don't eat junk food, and you don't eat biscuits. But your
diet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have to
calculate points or to buy special meals or plans. For exercising,
start with walking, and then switch to running/jogging. Running is the
most efficient and calorie-burn exercise ever. If you are overweight a
lot, walk first or you may have health complications (heart attack,
disjointed bones and so on). Weight lifting is a good means to target
your problem areas for men and women. It's not necessarily to become a
bodybuilder or even join a gym - a couple of dumbbells will help you
to target your problem areas (stomach, butt, legs, arms, chest).
