Do You Have To Take A Written Test In The State Of Kansas To Receive A Restricted Liscence

If a driver's license is suspended in one state, can you get a new one by moving to a new state?

Seems like an extreme solution but, technically yes, you could move and apply for a license in a new state. In fact, depending on the scenario, you might not even need to do that.Bear in mind that a state can only suspend your driving privileges in that state. So what does that mean?First, we need to understand the scenario. Was your license suspended by your HOME state? If so, you may not legally drive in any state because you, essentially, have no license, period.BUT if you move to another state and apply as a new driver, pass the written and skills test, you’ll be granted a new license and you’ll be legal to drive anywhere — even in your old state since they cannot abrogate the privilege granted by the new state. On the other hand, if your license is suspended by ANOTHER state, they are not technically suspending your license, only your driving privileges in THAT state. For example, a New Jersey resident who is arrested for DUI or excessive speeding while in, say, Pennsylvania, may, by the court’s disposition, have his license suspended for a period. But the state of Pennsylvania has no power to suspend an NJ citizen’s license. So what they are actually doing is prohibiting that NJ citizen from driving in PA for a period. The NJ citizen may still drive in any other state.

What can I drive with a class C License? (state of maryland?)?

So I am 19 with a regular drivers license (full drivers license) and I was wondering what I can drive? I know on the back it basically says anything under 26,000 pounds except for motorcycles. and I know there are mopeds and motorscooters, and I am really interested in the motorcycle type of vehicles. I was wondering if anyone knows of any like this motorcycle-like vehicles you can drive with just a regular license? And what are the fastest ones you know of? I don't necessarily mean like fast and furious fast lol but fast enough I mean even 50 at the most.

and if it makes a difference, I live in the state of Maryland.
thanks :]

Truck Drivers: Will a CDL issued in one state be honored in another state?

Yes, a commercial drivers license issues to an Interstate Tractor- Trailer driver can travel with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating or "GVWR" of 26,001 lbs. or more, given that the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000lbs. This entails any combination of vehicles, provided with proper endorsements, if more than one trailer. All Commercial Driver Licenses or "CDL" issued as a Interatate Driver is accepted in all 50 states, as long as the driver maintains an active, up-to-date medical card, issued after a proper Department Of Transportation, or DOT, physical has been performed, in accordance to the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration, or " FMCSA." Any driver that is solely driving within state line limits, would be considered an Instrastate CDL, which is only valid in the state it is issued, and is not accepted in all 50 states. Any person(s) applying for a Instrastate Commercial Drivers License may be between the ages of 18-20. Whereas to obtain a Interstate Commercial Drivers License, the driver applying must be 21 years of age. Any Instrastate CDL holder, once reaching the age of 21, is automatically converted to a Interstate Commercial Drivers License, and is accepted in all 50 states. Even if the driver chooses to drive within states lines, known as a Regional Driver or " Local Driver."

Can I become a Private Investigator without a license?

Most states you can work for a private detective without being licensed. Technically you work under their license. Becoming licensed as a PI is a bit more difficult, and has many restrictions. An example being new jersey law. You must be a retired police officer, or worked as a police officer for a few years and be a minimum of twenty five years old. You will usually need to be licensed through the state police as well and take training courses.
