Do You Honestly Believe Obama Is Not American

Was Obama born in America or not?In the context of “The only real difference between the two? Barack was born in Hawaii, two years after it became a state, while Rafael Edward Cruz was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Thus, Barack entered the world as a ‘natural born’ American, and Ted a Canadian.” {page 4} in my book "President Ted Cruz: The 2016 Election and America's Future" {AMAZON, December 2013} [President Ted Cruz: The 2016 Election and America's Future: W. Lawrence Lipton: 9781494321697: Amazon.com: Books]So fully five years ago the facts were available and the answer was given. Obama was born in America. The Birther argument requires his mother to travel to Africa (without her husband, who was at an immigration hearing a week after the birth), give birth, and return to the USA, without any port of entry records (and while having the British Home Office scrub the birth from its records so Obama would not show as a British national). The records had to be falsified in time for the GOVERNMENT to publish the birth/death/marriage report for that time period. So asserting Obama was not born in USA requires circumventing multiple immigration and transportation problems — plus bribing Records officials to release false data to the local paper. The true issue is the con Ted Cruz has run — since, as the book shows, there is no question he was born a foreign citizen. The argument of maternal citizenship goes down the toilet — since Obama’s mom is not only a citizen but a POTUS COUSIN and Obama is a 10th Cousin to George Washington… making him far more American than Cruz can ever be.

Originally answered as: Why do people in America doubt where president Obama was born?To the questioner:  Please, don't edit your question and then accuse people of misinterpreting you!  (See comments to this and other answers). There is a HUGE assumption here...Not all people in America believe that Obama wasn't born in the US.In fact, it seems to be a tiny minority of people who seriously believe that Barack Obama wasn't born in the United States. There are several terms you can use to describe these people, the simplest & least offensive is probably 'stupid'.Then there are the people who'd like to believe Barack was born elsewhere. There seem to be a few more of these, but they're still in a minority. These people are more dangerous.  Despite knowing damn well that the stories are untrue, the continue to pedal them because they hold a range of views which can be summarised as wishful thinking, extreme, right-wing political opinions and racism.  There are also people who just seem to like conspiracy theories.  They fall into both groups, their thought processes are just baffling to me.   Instead of accepting the most obvious, simple explanation for something, they enjoy concocting a fantasy consisting of unlikely, if not impossible events? The more lurid & fanciful, the better! The truth is simple.  Barack Obama was born on the 4th of August 1961, in Honolulu, Hawaii, United States of America. As a native-born American citizen, he was perfectly entitles to stand as President & he happened to win the popular vote for the office (twice). So, he became the legal President of the United States. The US has some unique requirements concerning the place of birth of potential Presidents, so this bizarre situation does seem to apply to the USA alone.

If I were to conclude that Obama is corrupt, it wouldn’t be as a result of this forum post.First, it’s never a good idea to put too much credence in an opinion piece, especially an opinion piece that starts off by telling you how you’re supposed to react to it.Second, it’s a good idea to beware of articles that are obviously calculated to sway your emotions, through the use of dramatic rhetoric. Example: referring to government employees and/or appointees as “malefactors serving at (Obama’s) pleasure.” Please! I’ve seen bad melodramas that were more restrained in their use of histrionics.Third—-and this is the most telling of all—-the incident is described in highly partisan and manipulative terms, and only one side is presented. Have you ever listened to a friend whose marriage (or other romantic relationship) has just fallen apart? When you hear their side, you’re almost always inclined to take their part, aren’t you? Yet, when you hear the other person’s side, you often get a different, more nuanced picture. I’ve noticed that a lot of right wing rhetoric (and quite a bit of left wing rhetoric, as well) tends to provide only one side of a complex issue. This practice is commonly known as “stacking the deck.” And, regardless of which side is doing it, I would take such accounts with a very large grain of salt. Finally, this doesn’t incriminate Obama. It pertains to IRS actions (or perceived lack thereof), but there is no evidence (nor did the settlement of the case acknowledge any evidence) that Obama instigated the problem. You went from “Z Street won its case against the IRS” to “The IRS deliberately targeted Z Street” to “Obama made the IRS deliberately target Z Street” to “Obama’s entire character is corrupt, based on what I heard about the IRS and Z Street.”Those are some pretty hefty leaps of logic.

Does Anyone Believe That Former President Clinton Smoked Pot But Didn't Inhale ?

Actually, I'd WELCOME a President who smoked a little weed. No.... seriously.

The problem with the U.S. is that the slimy press looks for that one little sound bite it can use to mock a candidate. They look for anything embarrassing to make headlines. Hence, we only get candidates with either very well-hidden secrets, or people of very bland personalities (Jimmy Carter, Gerald Ford, George H. Bush Sr.)

Imagine if we had a real character, like a modern day Benjamin Franklin. He goes over to Syria to talk turkey with Bashar al-Assad. Things are stiff and formal. The two don't trust one another. No progress is going to be made. Big waste of time.

But then, our colorful President whips out a little plastic baggy and starts rolling something. His host is shocked, but our guy tells him to chill out. Pretty soon, they're smoking like college buddies and laughing about everything.

Problem solved.

Heck, we should have told Clinton: "OK, now that you're President, your first job is to start inhaling!"

Do you believe Donald Trump that Obama wiretapped Trump Tower?

I believe the plump chump Porky Donald duck-lips tRUMP is either delusional or demented; either way, he's bound to get carried out of the WH kicking and screaming in a strait jacket, probably custom-made to resemble a tuxedo.

ALL the existing governments in the world spy on its citizenry; that's how they catch plotters and criminals. The plump chump is worried that his conversations with Russian diplomats (or Russian blackmailers) may have been overheard; but he has no evidence or proof whatsoever other than his overactive mind.

He's also trying to divert attention away from those insisting in seeing his tax forms; he MUST be hiding some really juicy stuff... probably his business dealings with Russia, which he has repeatedly denied.

One thing is certain, tRUMP wants Americans to buy American made products and wants us to hire American workers... but he hasn't brought back to America ONE solitary product of the hundreds (thousands?) he has foreign manufacturing companies making in foreign nations, paying slave wages to foreign workers, mostly women and children.

Liberals, do you honestly believe the 0bama administration has America's best interests in mind?

He has leftists best interests in mind, this is anenthma to American priciples of liberty, personal initiative, freedom of religion, etc...now if you want forced equality visa vis income redistribution, collectivism, and freedom FROM religion, oh yeah, Obama is your man...

Conservatives Chime In, Obama Slur?

I have a dear friend who I have known for a very long time. Recently, we have been discussing politics. In some of these discussions, he has gotten worked up in an angry tone ranting about how we have become too PC as a society and we have given too many breaks to blacks and mexicans at the expensive of the taxpayer, etc. He feels that lower income mexican and blacks are bogging down our education system (he is a teacher) and that their cultures teach poor values (a disregard for hard work and education, combined with a desire for a free ride). In addition, he does not like Obama and has used personal and derogatory language such as Black C*ck Sucker and The F*cking Black Robin Hood" to describe him.

Now, I get why hardcore conservatives don't like Obama's policies and I don't disagree that some of our social programs have went too far and enabled people to become unproductive. In addition, I understand his frustration as a teacher because our education system is a mess, but his anger, language and tone about these subjects brought me to question him about having some possible race issues. Was I wrong to question him? He got offended and is upset that I did. He is so insulted that he wants to end our friendship.

So my question is, was I wrong to question my friend about having possible race issues? Should I have left it alone? I've never known him to speak this way before we started discussing politics. I didn't question him in an angry tone, nor did I mean any malice. Did I over-react?

I am curious to hear feedback from far right conservatives. Do you use this type of language and tone when arguing about politics and Obama?
