Do You Know A House Song From Early 2000 That Start With Elecrtic Violin And Then Continues With

What is the best violin to get for around 400-500 dollars?

When choosing a violin you should play it and see how it sounds and feels.  When I choose violins, I go by the sound so I never buy online.  So it's difficult for me to say... Go with this model and you'll be fine.  Every instrument is different.  Here are some pointers in selecting a violin:Go to Your Local Violin ShopIf you are in Southern California Moreys Music in Long Beach is awesome!  I bought my acoustic at Moreys and love it.  I bought my electric violin on Amazon and dislike it. More abt that below.Prepare a Variety of PiecesGet a couple of songs ready when you are testing violins.  You can use one piece that has the following types of passages:Slow partFast partPart where you shift Piece that is on the g and d stringPiece that is on the a and e stringListen to the tonePlay the slow lyrical piece and the pieces that are on the g and d as well as the a and e strings. What does the violin sound like when you go between strings?  What is the sound like during th lyrical piece?  Is the sound loud and harsh or scratchy like you said?  Or is it muted and sweet?    A good violin is muted and sweet.  How Does It PlayWhen you play it should be easy to play.  Move your left hand around the neck.  Play the fast piece and the shifting piece.  How does it feel.  It should feel smoothBuy the Violin You TriedBuy the violin you like at the store.  After you have tried it, buy it.  Don't get the model number and buy it online because it will not be the same.  Every violin is different.  When I purchased my electric I went against my usual mantra of buying what I played.  I actually tested an NS electric violin at a trade show and loved it.  They didn't sell the violin there and so I bought it on Amazon.  The violin that was delivered wasn't the same. It doesn't play well and it doesn't fit my arm, neck or body well.  It sounds amazing but I don't like playing it because it's uncomfortable.

Why was Steam Boat Willie not titled Steam Boat Mickey?

have no clue really funny though

How long will it take to get good at piano if I play for an hour a day?

It could take you a year or two to get somewhat good if you follow advice such as the one I will give you.  Mind you it will take you much longer than that to become a concert pianist.  And if you really want to get good within a year or two, it might take you at least 3 hours of daily practice.  Hope you're ready.  Don't be discouraged! One of my best students took class with me for a year, without prior musical knowledge.  He missed about one out of every two classes.  Sometimes I cancelled, and sometimes he cancelled our pre-programmed time because of schedule conflicts with our churches.  Results?  He was able to play in his church band.  And when he moved to Dallas, TX, he used to play in the Spanish services over at the Potter's House (Church where T.D. Jakes pastors).  I don't even have that privilege.   One student is a musician in his church in New Bedford, MA, and another two are musicians at their churches in Fall River, MA and Lorrain, OH.   Others took class with me as teens, but their lives are a bit too busy (as if there was ever such a thing!) to be involved in music performance. Right now I am giving class to my son and to a teenage girl in one class, and in another class I am teaching a band. The important thing for practice is not to go at it for one hour a day and practice the same thing.  This way, a person will get good at just a few pieces of repertoire; nothing more, nothing less.  I advise to warm up with scales (e.g., major, natural minor, melodic minor, harmonic minor) and/or modes in all 12 keys. (I know, I basically mentioned Ionian and Aeolian already). and then proceed to a few suitables piece in all 12 keys such as Pachelbel's "Canon in D" that will exercise your fingers and mind in all of the diatonic chords.  Drills are helpful, and it is very important to memorize the shapes of chords on the grand staff so that you can quickly recognize them when you are performing. Also, when practicing a piece in particular, do not go over the entire sheet music, but concentrate on playing the most difficult measures over again and again.  Only when that is done, should you proceed to practice all the music before you.  Play sheet music of your choice, for there is nothing so uninspiring as to toil for hours over something that you dislike.  And get some apps that can help quiz you.  I recommend Music Tutor for iOS, but I do not know what apps are available on Android or Windows. Hope it helps.  Stay encouraged!
