Do You Know That You Are Famous When Your Answers Are Picked On Yahoo Answers As Best

What is the best answer for "why do you want to become a lawyer"?

What's the best answer for "Why do you want to become a lawyer?"Because:You promote a knowledge of being able to communicate and negotiate. In the law, you don't shy away from conflict. You confront it. As James Baldwin said, “Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced.”Becoming a lawyer means learning how to to negotiate and learning how to manage people. The Carnegie Institute (one of them ) says that 87% of financial success is three things: (1) personality, (2) ability to negotiate, (3) ability to manage people. So, only 13% relates to technical skills. Personality is obviously a problem for a lot of lawyers. But becoming a lawyer means learning about negotiation and people management, two of the really important determinants of financial success.Law is one of the few professions that intensely analyzes the written decisions of the past as guides for current decisions.Law is one of the few professions that encourages and promotes argument as a way to find truth. You can be involved in a deep level in some of the most significant conversations we have as a people about such things as:How do we govern ourselves? What makes someone a criminal? What is fair? The world needs great lawyers. You will continually be presented throughout your entire legal career with opportunities to help people. In a legal career you will always be challenged. Mentally. Emotionally. Intellectually. It is not for the weak. Or the faint of heart. You will be surrounded by very intelligent, stimulating, and frequently strong-willed people. You will get to help people. The law is a story we can all participate in the telling, and we can all participate in the shaping of it.Lawyers positively affect every facet of our society.Without law we would be in ruins.People love good lawyers. The legal profession needs good people. You can make a difference.Societies that hate lawyers, or don’t have many lawyers, tend to be totalitarian regimes.

Which is better: being rich but unknown or being broke but famous?

Thanks for the Answer!!!!

But to answer your question...
I was very very very popular in high school and being "famous in High School" is like being famous for reals. If you are desperate to have people love you, then cool. I'd rather be filthy rich. I have ENOUGH friends. You can't become unfamous...I still have enemies from High School because I was that mean, evil popular person that you see in the movie. (watch jawbreakers...that is me and my friends) You can buy fame once you are rich. Look at Paris Hilton, Nicole Ritchie, Hilary and her sister Hay, Brittney Spears(she had to make it so that she could become infamous). So how much do you wanna be famous?

Would you rather be rich or famous?

So if you are rich, your money is underground, you can get at it whenever you want, but no one knows you have any money, but you can buy whatever you want.

Famous is easier b/c there are a ton of broke celebraties, but you'd be the #1, like David Hasselhoff is overseas, and in a good way.

Rules: You can't buy fame, you can't become rich off of your fame. You are famous b/c you are such a giving person and every dime you get goes to charity. There!

What went wrong with Yahoo? It was once worth almost $125 billion, but today sold to Verizon for $5 billion.

There is no one single reason that Yahoo "went wrong", which I assume means that they aren't seen as one of the top couple of internet companies like they once were. There are product reasons, strategic reasons, and cultural reasons. Some top of mind examples though:Focusing so much for years on Panama (Google Adwords competitor) and search in general, when they ended up losing to Google and eventually outsourcing this to Microsoft.Becoming too unfocused. Yahoo tried to do everything and triggered the famous Peanut Butter Manifesto from Brad Garlinghouse that summarized this problem well. The shift from a desktop world where everyone used home pages to a mobile and social world. Yahoo failed to build their own successful mobile and social products or to acquire any. Yahoo got too bloated, and nobody would ever make the cuts needed to both headcount and its products/properties.Buying Flickr, then letting it languish. Buying Flickr for $35 million was a bargain when you see how huge social photos are today. They could have turned Flickr into the next Facebook or Instagram and instead didn't invest properly in it.Failing to acquire Google and then Facebook. Yahoo had opportunities to buy both of these companies when it was clear they were going to be big successes and instead wouldn't pay what was needed. For example, they had a deal to buy Facebook for $1.1 billion pretty much accepted, then Yahoo's earnings came out and the value of the deal dropped to 800M due to stock compensation and Zuckerberg balked when Yahoo wouldn't change the deal to put the price back up. Think about the value of Facebook today and that Yahoo didn't acquire them over a $300M difference.Leadership changes. Looking at companies like Google and Facebook you'll see that the same leadership has essentially been in place the whole time. Yahoo has had a shifting cast of CEOs and executive teams that has never provided a longer term vision and execution path to take shape.Acceptance of lower quality employees. By the time I worked at Yahoo from 2007-2010, there were still a ton of great A-quality people there, but there were also a lot of B or C-quality people who were not outstanding at their work. This starts to eat away at the company and make the A-players go work elsewhere. There are more reasons, but these provide a good summary...

Who is the most famous person ever?

Good question, with good data for Yahoo Answers.

We should tally the results later.

I would say the most famous person ever would be Hitler, because of how his atrocities have affected mankind. They are going to be writing about him until the next Hitler, which hopefully will never happen. he was the head of one of the most sickening human feats ever, and his repulsiveness will stand the test of time.

So how about good guy of the 20th century - Walt Disney, globally known better than anyone (although not as well as his alter ego, Mickey Mouse.) However, even today's youth don't really realize that Walt was a person and not a place. So perhaps one of the greatest innovators, dreamers, and entertainers of all time will probably miss out on the footnote of history and vanish by the end of the century become a rare trivial pursuit card. Unlike inventors or politicians, entertainers don't live forever in our minds. Ask any 15 year old who James Cagney, Dorris Day, Charlie Chaplin, Erol Flynn is, and they would have no idea.

George Washington and Honest Abe will probably remain mainstays in the American mind until the nation crumbles.

This Scorpio keeps picking on me!!!!!!! Its so irritating!?

Ignore him...and quietly write down what he's doing in a book, time and event.

He does like you, and wants to test you to see if you can handle his cruel streak...time to nip this game in the bud...you don't like his game, and it's actually harassment

so ignore him...it's for the best..

and when he's nice, ignore him...and again write it down in your book...time and event...

and if it continues, tell him ot back off or you'll get a restraining order, citing harassment...and walk away...and whatever he says ...ignore him...and write the event and time in your book

and the next time he picks on you..call the police... yes, you can file a restraining order even if you are both in school. which is where i am guessing you are...

end of being picked on

get it? he will...
