Baseball vs. Football?
Which of these are more popular? I've heard baseball. I know baseball is the most paid sport, and is considered "the great American sport". So please no taking sides, as in dont say football if you dont really know just because you like football better. I like them both, but I would like to know which one is honestly more popular as ratings and all that good stuff. Thanks. NFL vs. MLB, NOT NCAA.

I play baseball but I feel like football is more appealing. I am much better at baseball but I will play football too if it's worth it. I'm still muscular. I have a six pack and fairly good sized arm and leg muscles. I am built for football but I am better at baseball. So, it comes down to you guys. Which one?
Is it weird if a person likes football, baseball, and baseball?
For the past 25 years I’ve been an NFL, baseball and baseball fan, eliminating the NBA and NHL from my sports viewing. So no I don’t think its weird. The NBA lost me because they turned the game from a skills contest to a running and jumping exhibition, no finesse, no skills or team work. They might as well play a series of 1 on 1 events. I lost interest in hockey because it’s a crappy sport to watch on TV and my NHL ticket contact moved. I love to watch the NHL in person but I can’t anymore.
Does Joe Buck like baseball or football more?
It is my impression that Joe Buck likes baseball more, if for any reason his father Jack was a baseball announcer.You can tell when he covers baseball, there is a different tone to him, more enthusiastic. When he covers football, its more like its because he signed a contract obligating him to do it.Finally, he is better at baseball because, in baseball, he doesn’t have a mill stone named Troy Aikman around his neck.

the answer is def baseball. hitting a baseball is the hardest thing to do in sports. If you have not played the game your entire life your chances of going pro are extremely nill. Whereas football actually has guys in thier pro ranks who have never played football, started in college, or havent played since they were kids (antonio gates). If you can run a 4.2 they will put you on a football team in a SECOND. whereas even if you can throw 100mph you wont turn pro unless you can throw it for strieks and with movement. There are more skills that take a lifetime to learn in baseball than football. this isnt even close.
Why do Americans like Football more than Basketball?
Football is the greatest sport to be apart of. No other sport requires as much dedication, heart, trust and passion. My high school coach always talks about how football is the sports world's most accurate representation of life. It's not always fair, and its not always fun, but nothing is better than seeing all the hours and hours of blood, sweat and tears come to fruition. Whether it be in the weight room or on the practice field, the preparation is rarely easy. And not to sound cliche, it is also the sport where teamwork is the most important. There is no other sport where you have as many people working towards the same goal at any one moment, both on offense and on defense. My coach also likes to compare football to family for these reasons. He says that in society, families are failing. So the American Culture instead turns to football to be able to see a functional family in action. The two are clearly linked in his mind, and I personally agree with him.
