Do You Like Beta Testing Various Services

I need help with hosting service for a beta testing, any suggestions on the most cost effective service out there?

The market is evolving so fast, there is no way one can give a perfect detailed comparison between major cloud providers. A few days ago, Google announced cutting prices for his storage and probably next week Azure will release a new virtual machine family. It goes too fast to be tracked by a human. Also, there are so many possibilities taking into account price models, performances, location…You are basically looking a tool that gives you the best infrastructure recommendation based on your needs with up-to-date data. You should check out the Cloud Decision Engine: Cloudscreener . That’s a free tool that is going to find you the best offer for your needs among various Cloud Providers. If you are already having running instances on AWS, you can import your configuration to see where you can make the most savings (different region or provider). At the end, you can export the result as a JSON or Terraform file to start migrate to a better/cheaper solution.

You can announce your beta test for free to Betabound's beta tester community here: Announce Your Beta Test on Betabound and Find Great Beta Testers. From that posting, you should get some enthusiastic testers to join your beta test!Using Social Media for Beta Test Recruitment is also a great strategy for getting on the road to 500+ tester sign ups.If you're looking for more help running and managing your beta test,Centercode (Betabound's parent company) also has fully managed beta tests (where they find the testers for you).I hope that helps, and good luck with reaching 500 on your tester recruitment!

Is it necessary to run beta testing before launching ur service app in the market?

Beta testing is very important phase in building an awesome mobile app.Users are smart people. If you ship something buggy, they’ll never come back. We realized the importance of beta testing from our failures in the past and now we make sure that every release goes through beta testing one final time before it is exposed to the real world. There are certain advantages of beta testing. Firstly, it helps developers in tackling with different objectives of the product so that it can be improvised further. Quality is of course the primary goal and objective of beta testing. However there are also many other objectives that such a beta testing can address.1- Quality2- Idea Validation3- Usability 4- Performance5- Regression Testing6- Cost Remember, the more you can provide a higher quality app, the more likely users want to use it. We have recently written Read more about importance of beta testing here:http://www.bugclipper.com/blog/7...p.s: I work with Bugclipper

What are the best web and mobile app beta testing services?

It depends on what you’re looking for and mean by “service”. If you’re just looking for a tool to distribute mobile apps to your testers, then TestFairy, HockeyApp, TestFlight, etc. could be sufficient. But if you’re looking for a service to actually test your web or mobile app then they are going to fall short of what you need.To run a good beta test you need a platform for running the test, processes to collect and process feedback, and the right people to test it and give that feedback (qualified, enthusiastic people from your target market). A full service will provide all of those components. Centercode (the company I work for) provides all of those elements in their services offering. But if you aren’t able to afford a full service, we also have a ton of great advice on our blog to help the processes side of things and will announce your beta test to our tester community for free to help with the people side.I hope this helps! Good luck!

What is the least expensive web and mobile app beta testing service that provides its own crowd of testers?

You should check out Betabound. It’s the tester community for Centercode (the company I work for) and will announce any beta test for free to the community. It’s a great way to get testers that “get” beta testing and will give you good feedback.Centercode also has a service offering that runs the entire test for you, but it’s certainly not the “least expensive” option (though I would argue that the value you can get out of a properly run beta test is worth the investment!)

Are there any stock picking services out there that aren't scams?

I am looking for a stock picking service, I'm not looking for 300% ROI a year or anything stupid. I just want to find a solid realistic service out there that provides 10-20% ROI a year. I'm having trouble finding a service like this because all my searches turn up bogus services with unrealistic claims. I am looking to go this route so I can use margin on top of my account for extra profits which I can't do with mutual funds.

How secure is it to use crowd-sourced app testing service like 99tests.com?

If security and confidentiality is a concern you should look at our testing services (disclosure I'm the Founder) at TestLauncher. We provide a solution that scales testing (24/7 testing) and train specifically for finding deep software problems… our staff is 95% full time, NDA and background checked. Ask about our security policy (SLA) and we can show you how we handle passwords, sensitive info etc as we work with many companies that are ISO / HIPAA / PIPEDA compliant.Typically it's common knowledge in the software industry crowdsourced companies are not as secure and cannot protect your data or IP as a firm that has a culture of security/privacy baked in with full time employees properly screened and regularly trained like us at TestLauncher. So, my comments have been solely about privacy and security and haven't touched the idea about loss of efficiency and test quality using a crowd testing company. As a former CTO for 10+ years in the software industry you definitely don't want to take a chance with your application if there is a hint of security and privacy that must be met.

Is LinkedIn beta testing a new inMail service, where inMails don't seem like inMails?

You nearly answered the question yourself: you share membership in a LinkedIn group with him.Anyone who you share a group with, unless you specifically opt out of receiving messages from other group members in the group's settings page, can send you a message without using an InMail credit. To see your groups, move your cursor to Interests, then select Groups from the drop down.

What is the difference between Alpha and Beta Testing?

Generally, an alpha test is performed by the programmers themselves to ensure they got everything right in their eyes.

a beta test is the second phase of software testing in which a sampling of the intended audience tries the product out and gives feedback.
