Do You Like Driving At Night

Do you like driving at night?

I can't drive at all, but I think that if I could drive, night would be my favorite time. I like night time, because it's so peaceful and quiet. That is, until I hear gunshots a few blocks away and police sirens....

But lets pretend I live out in the country where people don't kill each other every other night; I'd think it to be very peaceful driving at night. I'd just have to watch out for those gosh darn deer. Or going for a walk at night. I just love night time.

BQ: Do you watch Criminal Minds?
Sometimes. But one time that show gave me nightmares....
I watched it the other night. It was that episode when that bank robber goes in and makes everyone take there clothes off and has sons hit their mothers. That was a really sad episode.

But yeah, I like shows like Law & Order and stuff.

When you are driving at night?

To answer your question in a very simple way and according to law.

Always use your high beams whenever possible you can see better with it, however don't use them when you're in close proximity with another vehicle (500 ft. In either direction) because it can blind them.

Why do I love driving at night?

I don't know. There are several reasons why I like driving at night:It is generally cooler even with air conditioning, no sunburn on long drives.Every other car on the road is (almost) always lit up. You can see them without really looking very hard. The road is lot emptier as long as you are not driving into a large city. If you time it right there is almost no traffic on major highways. If you drive after two o’clock away from the city the few other drivers you may come across are likely to be sober. If you get where you are going before dawn you don't have to drive into or away from the sunrise and deal with the sunglasses, visor all the way down, and weird seat angle, along with squinting to avoid staring into the nearest star for an hour or so. Or, conversely not being able to look behind you. Visors on the sides are a hassle too, and that corner and spot around the mirror is a real pain.Children get bored quicker and usually go to sleep. If you also have someone(s) who prefers driving in the daytime (who is also a good driver) you can go long distances in half the time. When I was young I loved driving my little 69 Fiat two seater with the top down on a warm summer night. Sometimes I would go for a ride in the country just outside my suburb just because I could.

Do you like to drive at night?

My favourite time to drive. Empty roads, lovely views and it's calm. I've got a motorbike so it's a bit different but it's an experience like none else. Also, I can cut off about 10 minutes of a 1h30m drive at night all with following the speed limit. It's a quiet time for contemplation.

How do you drive safely at night?

Just some thoughts from a truck driver that spends a lot of time on the road in the dark. First of all use your eyes to take advantage of any light source that reflects off the highway. You'd really be surprised how much you can see if you look beyond your headlights. Oncoming traffic even at a distance will show you what the road ahead looks like. Don't ever look directly at the headlights of an oncoming vehicle however. Look toward the edge of the road on the right instead. Same goes for reflective road signs...don't look at them anymore once you know what it says. Your eyes have to adjust too many times between reflective light and the darker roadway. The ambient light from a distant gas station will allow you to discern the road ahead believe it or not. Use your high beams all the time if no traffic is approaching. Look out to the limit of your headlights...aim high even at night. If seeing at night is a big problem then slow down some so you don't over-drive your headlights. Night driving is actually quite pleasant and I enjoy it. Not many things more pleasant than 2AM on a deserted road with the window down and the smell of fresh air invading the cab...soft music on the FM......

Which type of music I should listen while night driving?

What could possible be better than “Radar Love” except perhaps “Vehicle” or “Letter”?Ok, maybe “Expressway to Your Heart”But if you’re truly feeling suicidal then try “99 Miles from LA”Or really, how about “Everything But the Girl” and “Driving”And the ubiquitous “Drive” by the Cars:And finally, “In Cars” by Gary Newmann:
