Do You Need A Dryer To Bleach Jeans

How do I get dried blood out of jeans?

Hydrogen peroxide will get blood (dried and otherwise) out of washable fabric. You wet the stained surface, pour a little peroxide on the area, let it fizz and bubble up, and then rinse it out. It usually takes several applications. Then put some liquid detergent on the spot, rub it in, and wash in cold water. Never wash blood stains in hot water, because the heat will cook the protein, and the stain will be permanently set in the fabric. For the same reason, make sure the spot is completely gone before putting the garment in a dryer.Keep in mind, though, that hydrogen peroxide has a weak bleaching action. If the jeans in question are dark and very even toned, its better to skip the peroxide. Instead, you can rub a little liquid detergent directly into the spot, and wash in cold water afterward.

How do you wash American Eagle jeans? What are some examples?

Cold water wash and rinse.I like to use liquid fabric softener in the wash …not a fan of the dryer sheets. Here’s where you make or break it; drying them.Turn your jeans inside out before you put them in the dryer …when you right side out them after the dryer then will tend to have less wrinkling. If you don’t want the jeans to fade as rapidly then wash them inside out as well.DO NOT use high heat to dry your jeans (or any of your clothes for that matter).Use the “Delicate” cycle and use LOW heat. Set the cycle for “Colors” …maybe a bit longer. When the cycle is done pull them out, turn them right side out and, if they are still damp, let them air dry. If you have to, put them back in the dryer and set the cycle to a short duration. The whole idea is to minimize the heat used to dry the jeans. This will keep them from shrinking and keep them looking good.

Stiff jeans?

Wash them with a load of towels and put in a teensy amount of bleach (no more than 1/4 cup). Use the hottest water possible. Dry the towels in the dryer, but hang the jeans to dry. When the jeans are dry, put them in the dryer using the "fluff" (no heat) setting with some of the dry towels. After about 5 minutes, the jeans will be much softer. (You can also use this technique without the bleach, but the bleach will help remove the "sizing" which makes the fabric stiff.)
