Do You Remember A Mlb Player In 50

Does anyone remember the baseball player Rocky Colavito?

Oh, yes. The Indians traded him for Harvey Kuehnn. a trade that had most baseball fans saying WTF????.

Remember when MLB baseball was really exciting in the 90's & Early Early 2000's?

with all the homeruns, broken records pitching duels home run chasers & the culture. don't get me wrong i still love baseball but in the 90's & early 2000's it was on another level. griffey jr,barry bonds, roger clemens, sammy sosa, derek jeter, kenny lofton, to name a few. man those were the days!

When was the last time you played baseball? Did you score, get "out", or both?

Baseball………………………….Baseball is one of those games that unless you play at least high school ball you are almost never going to play baseball in an organized league as an adult. So, back in 1975, as a graduate student, I decided to organize my own league. I got MIT to let us use one of the baseball fields, I sweet talked the MIT equipment manager into letting us use a bunch of equipment, I got four teams of graduate student players together (some from BU, Northeastern and Harvard) and we put together a League. I and three other league members umpired the games. So, each weekend I played a game as catcher and then umpired a game.Score or hit or out? We were just so happy to Play!!! We put in a full season of ten games (plus weekly practices) and then called it quits. It takes a Lot of effort to play baseball. It was no Field of Dreams, but at least it was a League of Our Own.We then continued to play men’s fast-pitch softball in a Cambridge league. Much easier. All the best.
