Do You Think After Obama The President Would Be Racist

Would Obama becoming President have brought out racism in some Americans, and if so, why?

The Obama presidency led to the current spate of racism in the same way that the election of Lincoln led to the civil war. In the case of Obama, people who had little or no contact with black people, suddenly had a black president in their faces. The status quo they knew, where old white men with whom they could identify were in charge, was turned on it's head. What made it worse was Obama's competence, intelligence, class and calm. His performance is nearly impossible to fault, though I feel he was too conservative. The closet racists, many of whom still won't admit their racism, came out of the closet. They felt betrayed and declared that he wasn't their president. They invalidated the election in their own minds with birther claims. It’s was all part of a giant conspiracy to marginalize the honest white working class. They refused to acknowledge a single one of his many accomplishments. That he was the best president in modern history was salt in the wound. In Trump, they elected the worst president in modern history because he supported and still supports their racism. Fortunately, these hate groups are widely spread out across the entire country, especially in the heavily segregated northern states, so there will not be any sort of civil war. Thank God, for desegregation and forced busing in the south. It made a difference. There are now more organized hate groups in Michigan than in Mississippi. Many white southern families have black family members who are loved. The best way to fight this hatred is to desegregate the north and west. As in the south, it will take 50 years or longer, but eventally, we will all be just folks.

If you don't like Obama, are you racist?

Why do you dislike President Obama? Some equate a Democrat with Satan. If you are in that boat then you really need to decide why you hate half of the United States but claim to be a patriot. If you dislike President Obama because of his policies then you can debate the pros and cons of the issues and you have a good reason to have voted for another person. Please evaluate if you really can debate the issues or if you can just shut down a conversation. To be able to debate takes great skills and knowledge. If you dislike President Obama because you do not agree with his religion then you are not a Christian. That is not a racist just not a Christian. This is true because President Obama says he is a Christian and chose to be a Christian. If you do not like other Christians when you claim to be a Christian then you need to read Christ’s teachings again and pay attention to the Pharisees and Scribes. If you are do not like President Obama because he was not a US citizen then yes you are a racist because he is as much a US citizen as Ted Cruz except President Obama was born in the US instead of Canada.

Will Barack Obama's presidential legacy reflect racism as one of the many reason's for the gridlock and lack of cooperation he's received from republicans or will he be considered a president who lacked the right leadership skills to get the job done?

The question itself is biased: "Did racism cause gridlock OR was Barack Obama a bad President?"I think the best way to put President Obama's performance into perspective is to compare him with his predecessors. Since Presidents Bush and Obama are so different, the easier objective comparison to make is with President Clinton. I would say that history's general consensus on Clinton is that he was a very effective President in most respects, although his Presidency was over-shadowed by an extreme amount of partisanship. And many Americans will not forgive him over the Lewinsky affair. Naturally, partisans on both sides have more polarized opinions. So, on the one hand, the hyper-partisanship that Obama faces was guaranteed when Republicans won control of both houses of Congress. Clinton moved sharply in a conservative direction after the Democrats lost control of the House in the 1994 mid-terms. In particular, he moved from a priority of healthcare reform to a priority of balancing the Federal budget. Nonetheless, negative partisanship continued to dominate public discourse through the rest of his Presidency. This leads me to conclude that Democrat President + Republican Congress = Hyper Partisan Atmosphere. The real question is whether history will judge Obama as a good President or a bad one. It goes without saying that the GOP faithful will judge him poorly and loyal Democrats will judge him positively. This is true of most Presidents.Objectively, Obama has not had any disasters, but he has had no major successes, either. In the long run, his legacy will probably be based on whether the economy continues to improve, or whether it craters. Othewise, a scandal or terrorist incident could negatively impact long-term opinions, as can the long-term success or failure of ObamaCare. I realize that's a mushy answer, but it is probably the most truthful, objective answer possible.

Do you believe racist people hated President Obama because he is African American?

Barack Obama married his one and only wife in 1992, and by all accounts has been a faithful husband. You only have to look at the two of them to see how much they still love each other. He takes an active role in raising his daughters, and seems to have done quite well in that regard. He attended Christian churches, has publicly stated his faith, saying "I am a Christian, and I am a devout Christian. I believe in the redemptive death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. I believe that faith gives me a path to be cleansed of sin and have eternal life." He even sang Amazing Grace in public. He knows The Bible, and understands Christian precepts.Yet, he was constantly dogged by people calling him vile names, denying his religion, calling him Muslim, saying he was part of ISIS or the literal Antichrist. He was replaced by a man who says “I drink my little wine and eat my little cracker,” who has five children by three different women - two of whom he ADMITS to cheating on, and has been accused of cheating on the third with a PORN ACTRESS while his wife was still recovering from childbirth. A man who lies constantly, who is a known business cheat, and who talks so crassly about anyone who disagrees with him, I don’t know how parents can stand to let their children hear him speak. And yet, this is the man that so-called Christians say is “bringing Jesus back to The White House.” His “Christian values” are praised and lifted up as bringing some kind of redemption to America after the previous administration.Explain to me how this comes about if it isn’t for racist hatred of a Black man for daring to President while Black.

Is President Obama considered black considering his mother is white and he was not raised by a black family?

It's his choice to self-identify as whatever he pleases, especially because he does have the biological backing to do it. I always think it's so funny that I have to self-identify as Asian, when clearly a lot of people use that term to refer to Chinese, Korean and Japanese people (among others). To actually address your question: I can understand why you would think it would be "racist" for Obama to pick a side.  Although I'm not mixed race, I guess I fall on the "American Born Confused Desi" spectrum, and I can tell you that the peers of my generation are all pretty widely scattered around this spectrum.  Some of them are so white-washed, the only thing I have in common with them is brown skin.  Some of them, like me, try desperately to hold on to vestiges of desi culture that our equally desperate parents tried to impart in us while growing up.  When asked whom I pledge allegiance to patriotically, I say the following: Canadian by citizenship and support for healthcare, American financially, and Indian at heart.  What a muddle.  The barista at the NYC Starbucks didn't believe me when I pronounced the accent grave in crème, being a stubborn Canadian, claiming damn it, I took French in high school.  Sardonically, he said, "it's cream, lady.  Cream."  Crushing my stupid Canadian Indian American heart.  In different circumstances, different aspects of my Americanness, Canadianness and Indianness stand out.Outwardly, I just find it easier to say, hey, I'm Indian.  Obama has an equally, if not more diverse background.  Being black, from my understanding, can be a defining trait in your life, much the same way my brown skin defines me.  And it's not racist to identify yourself with that.

Racist Rednects Shoot bear then put obama on it?

I do believe it was a couple of college students who took a prank to far.
