Do You Think Facial Piercings Are Stupid

Is it stupid to have a fake nose piercing?

I want a real one, but my mom won't let me. And I kind of want to see if it would look good on me--try it out, you know? Like for the first few days, will it look cool, but then stop after a while? What if I kept it up for a long time? I just want to see if I'll always want it before jumping into something costly. Is it stupid to do this? I know if it falls out it will be humiliating, so how can I keep it from falling out?
Thank you (: Oh, and I honestly don't care what the hell you have to say about people not looking attractive with metal in their face and whatever. So rant on.

Do you think septum piercings are stupid or give a girl character?

in many cases i think of facial piercings purely paintings on some fortunate human beings, and septum piercings are not extremely beautiful. That pronounced, they're so lots extra beautiful than monroe piercings and that i ought to admire the alternative by using any lady to get it finished. a brilliant variety of adult men declare a brilliant variety of stupid issues approximately ladies: 'ladies would not have tattoos' is one I hear far too frequently. regrettably there seems to be sufficient ladies around who'll placed up with that mentality. To me, the potential to make a call devoid of pertaining to what absolutely everyone, regardless of gender, thinks approximately it rather is lots extra beautiful than any particular piercing or lack thereof.

Do you think facial piercings are stupid?

I'm 21, and I honestly don't think that facial/body piercings are necessary. They don't make you look cool, awesome, handsome, cute, unique, or however you think they make you look.

Personally, they fit in the same category as those who wear too much make-up, uggs, crocs, heels, fishnet stockings, "skirts" that more resemble long shirts, hair curling, hair coloring, and tattooes.

So to all of you who think these things make you look good, you're only making yourself look like a *****, skank, hoe, or just plain stupid.

What do you think of body piercings?

I don't like spider bites personally, though I really like snake bites. Though as for body piercings in general, I really like them. Theres some that bother me though, like the staples on the bridge of your nose, and eyelid piercings. I know they aren't too common, but they are GROSS.

Unique & Awesome Face Piercings?

You shouldn't get a piercing to be 'unique and awesome' you should get it because you like the look.

But I guess asking to see unique piercings is a way to see some that you might like.

idea is a microdermal called a third eye. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2123/1547...

Or a temple mircodermal http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3065/2305...

I have a vertical labret, someone mentioned it wasn't common. I think a lot of people choose a normal labret instead but I already had my tongue done so I wanted to minimize the teeth and gum damage so I opted for a vertical labret. http://i24.ebayimg.com/05/s/08/7c/a8/88_...

A horizontal lip is rare to see, though it's also prone to rejection http://media.43places.com/entry/167041pw150.jpg

Vertical bridge rather than normal: http://www.casafree.com/modules/xcgal/albums/userpics/69828/normal_DSC00290.JPG

Nape (best done with microdermals, less likely to reject): http://www.laverne.edu/ctimes/111805/111805_images/piercings.jpg

Vertical nipples instead of horizontal, or one of each is always different (I got one of my nipple piercing when I turned 18 horizontally, then a few month later I got the other one vertically, lol I like it). I won't post a pic

Inverse navel (if your anatomy can support it): http://bodymod.dk/forum/attachments/dsc00014navel.jpg

uvula piercing (very difficult to find someone willing to pierce this, if you would ever want it): http://xo.typepad.com/blog/uvulva_custom.jpg

That's some I can think of right now. Good luck

Thanks for A2A.What do you people think about septum piercings and what do you think about the person when you see someone with one?I’ve never had this myself, but have observed many.Although I’m still a punk at heart and one would expect me to go for large and clunky, I feel that any nasal piercing should be discreet, particularly the double-ended type that can be flipped up inside out of sight for a more “professional” appearance. If I ever decide to do this, that is the type of fitting that I would choose. It also depends on the person. Sometimes a septum or nasal piercing looks like it belongs there and I wonder why the person didn’t get it sooner. Other times, it can be misplaced by only a few millimeters and then it just looks completely wrong, or that face isn’t suited the piercing in any case. When I see someone with the equivalent of a bull-ring, I’m ever so tempted to attach a dog-chain and drag the person around the room. I admit a tendency to look down on a person with a piercing so large that it has to be lifted out of the way in order to eat or drink. There are parts of the face and head that can get away with something so clunky, but the nose isn’t in that category, and I’m left in the dark regarding what message that person is attempting to send to everyone else. The major advantage of septum piercing over a nostril is that if the person later decides to discard it, the scar isn’t as obvious.

Do you think facial Piercings make someone look younger?

Since I was about 14, I was always told I looked older than I actually was. I didn't get into piercings/tattoos until I was 19...I had my labret pierced when I was 20 and my lip pierced when I turned 21. I kept them until I was 25 and during those years, I was carded for everything, being told I looked 17 or 19. Maybe it depends on the piercing...maybe people just consider piercings something only the "young folk" do. I will say this though...my face feels naked without my piercings and I miss them. Darn that Corporate America. ;)

(btw - if you're considering a piercing, you could definitely rock the monroe...or even the anti-eyebrow. just sayin.)

Will A Eyebrow Piercing Make Me Look Like A Lesbian Or Stupid?

Don't get the relationship between eyebrow piercing and lesbians. I've never really cared for eyebrow piercings myself. I think they just look funny although other piercings can look quite sexy. Actually, except for noses, pretty much all facial piercings look funny to me. Don't know why, they just do.

Done properly, nose rings and other facial piercings are fairly low-risk. As for guys and nose rings, it is entirely up to the man.  They look good on pretty much anyone.  Some very weak dudebros may mock them, but piercings are not gender-specific.  Saying they are sells to misogyny.  If a man wants a nostril or septum piercing, he should go for it.  As a pierced woman, I find nose rings (and other piercings) very attractive on men.

Yah, the ear, and if you are going to do it yourself, be HIGHLY aware of contamination. I have a background that makes me hyperaware of that kind of stuff, to the point that I spend a lot of time cringing in dentist chairs and doctors offices, watching how lax they are about contaminating their supposedly clean hands. Which makes me aware that a very large amount of people who try to pierce their own ears are going to be just as lax (pushing the hair out of the way with your hands to clear the view to your ear is lax. Your hair is not sterile, and hopefully, your hands are.) If you aren't going to be germaphobe or surgeon level aware of your hygiene and contamination, then you are risking infection. You are risking infection anyway, poking holes in the skin; might as well lessen the chance by actually being clean about it. FWIW, I've got a total of 5 piercings done at home via needle and dental floss. The other five were done with guns, when I was too young to know better. No noticeable difference in the levels of infection for either method; but I've got sensitive ears, and haven't tried a professional piercer, either (though, again, I've watched medical professionals do stupid stuff re: contamination. I'm not going to bank on a piercing professional to be any better. I'd just get my piercing, and then proceed with meticulous care after.)
