Do You Think I Could Be Anorexic

My parents think I'm anorexic but I'm not, am I?

Your parents probably have reason for thinking what they think and those reasons probably have something to do with an unrealistic body image, obsessing over food, being inordinately concerned about tiny little bits of body fat which are normal for a females including one who is slightly underweight as you are.

With the skewed and scant information you provided, no one could diagnose you as anorexic. However, given your BMI you should not be on a fat loss diet and we can't know if you are or are not because we don't know your activity levels. However, you're close to it. You're probably underweight and you're eating just enough for a person of your biometrics to sustain their weight given no significant exercise regimen or activities. You could be anorexic, borderline anorexic, or not anorexic at all.

If you're really concerned, go here --> http://teenshealth.org/teen/ and search for "bdd" or "eating disorders" or "anorexia".

Good luck and good health!!

PS: So many people have told you you're not anorexic it's worth noting that there is no way they can possibly know that especially given such a small amount of information. And, if there is no way they can know that, they should not be giving you a "yes" or "no" answer for obvious reasons. I would like to hear why your parents think you are anorexic.

Do you think I should be considered anorexic?

Aren't I too fat to be considered Anorexic?
I'm "5'1 and weigh like 105-108 and my doctor diagnosed me as anorexic/bulimic..

Here are my sooo called symptoms...

*I exercise 2 or more hours a day (normal)
*I TRY to eat like 500 or less calories a day but I'm too much of a fatter I can only go like 5 days top without eating............
*I do puke whenever I eat like a food item that has 100 or more calories...
*I never ever in my life want to get passed 110 pounds thats my biggest fear...
*I can't wear shorts, tank tops, dresses, ect...
*I feel that I look over weigh by 20 to 30 pounds and people think I look underweight even my doctors though I weighed less then I am...
*I want to get down to 75 pounds <3
*I think its beautiful when girls are boney they're lucky.....
*I study a lot on diet stuff
*I can remember calories to a lot of foods...
*I think about my weight and diet stuff 24/7
*I had taken diet pills and overdosed on them before and I wish I could buy more but they are expensive... >:P

so yeah... I think I'm too fat though to be counted its actually embarressing that they even think this... I was so embarressed I just wanted to cry...

and I'm being completely serious about this I would never joke about something like this thats just sick... I really dont think I should be diagnosed with anorexia. They even say that you have to be underweight really in order to be one. you have to be underweight and think your fat. at least like 20% underweight. or something like that..

What can I do if doctors think that I'm anorexic, but I'm truly not?

Ok, so you know. You may not want to admit it, or not be ready to give it up yet, or maybe not even understand everything about it, but if you are an anorexic - you know it!I was living in another state, 900 miles from my mom and dad, not realizing they were also receiving therapy for the stress of having a daughter who was starving to death. I would challenge myself as to how many days I could go without eating a single morsel of food, of course I knew I was anorexic, but I wasn't going to openly admit it because then my doctor would force me to eat.I was seeing two doctors who were gently ‘massaging’ my feelings until one got pushy and decided it was time for an admission. I bolted, went home, to mom and dad. That pushy doctor called, he talked to my mother telling her she had two choices, send me back for hospital admission OR buy me a coffin with a graveyard plot. That was definitely a turning point for me because I saw my mom suffering horribly. She would not survive this disease much longer, never mind me.Fifteen years later, I still struggle. I have a poor relationship with food, a terribly unhealthy diet, and can still easily go a few days without food. Sometimes, I cry before going to the grocery store. And my cleaning lady found a spider web in my oven, a sign that maybe I should be cooking more!!If it's not true, why do the doctors believe it to be true? Weight loss? Persistent vomiting, diarrhea? Low albumin? Decreased muscle mass? Decreased immunity? Anemia? Persistent fatigue? Fainting? Dehydration? Tachycardia? Shortness of breath? Depression? Decreased mental acuity/focus? Lack of menstruation? Or a combination of the previous symptoms? If it's not true, prove it to them. Tell your doctors what is really going on with your body. Why are you having symptoms of anorexia, and if you don't know why, then start keeping a food journal. There are plenty of apps that can help with that. Have you had any further testing? What are your family members, the people who know you best saying? If I can survive and make it to the other side of an eating disorder, trust me when I say, anybody can!!Chin up young person.

THINKING ABOUT BECOMING ANOREXIC *PICS*?

i hate to be blunt, but you are a moron.

you don't "become anorexic"
it's a mental disorder, a disease, not a ******* diet plan.

girls like you are the reason real anorexics aren't taken seriously.
stop reading your teen magazines and gooling anorexic tips.

you're already thin. just stop it.
eat healthy, exercise, maintain a healthy weight.
don't come on yahoo questions and ask offensive, ignorant questions and post pictures of yourself fishing for compliments and begging for attention.

EDIT: and i repeat, YOU DON'T BECOME ANOREXIC.
stop watching the hills and reading teen magazines.
anorexia is not glamorous, it's not how celebrities make it seem.
your organs will fail, your kidneys will shut down, your heart will palpitate, your reproductive organs will cease functioning, and YOU. WILL. DIE.

i've been there, i think i know more about it than you, so just trust me on this one.
