How do i ask my mom for more pads?

i don't like telling my mom that i need more pads and every time i do she always rolls her eyes.. its not my fault. i hate it. anyway im going to be getting my period any time. so yesterday when we were at walmart i was going to ask my mom to get more pads. but there were people everywhere and i chickened out and now im freaking out and i really need more pads i don't have many left!! and my mom doesn't get her period so i can take hers. i know she doesn't get her period because she told me. so how do i ask her to get me more pads?? i Absolutely hate talking about this kinda stuff.

How to ask my mom for more pads?

I want to wear tampons but when she gave me "the talk" in 5th grade way before I had it she said I would have to wait till I'm a lot older. Anyway. I got my period over a year ago but I got diagnosed with a minor health problem which temporarily stops your period so I haven't gotten it for a year. So I finally started getting it again because I am healthy again. But I'm running out of pads so I'm using them sparingly even though my periods really bad. Like I have awful cramps, I'm nauseous, I feel like blood comes out every time I sneeze or laugh. But my moms really awkward about it. She's always like "oh ok do you need ice cream and pain reliever and a blanket oh you poor thing" and it makes it awkward. How do I tell her besides just taking a box an putting them in the cart? I know this is a stupid question but I just hate bein awkward around her because she's usually like really cool and I hate to make her feel like different I don't know I guess I'm weird hahaha.

I want to wear tampons, but my mom won't let me because she thinks I'll get TSS. I hate pads because they're really uncomfortable. Do you have any advice?

Sigh. My Mom didn't want me to wear them at first either, but pads were so messy and uncomfortable.Over the last 20 years, toxic shock from tampon use has been steadily declining. The average rate over those 20 years has been 1 in 100,000[1]You have a higher chance of being injured or killed while walking across the street[2] , than you do of getting toxic shock from tampons. Pro tip: Save that little fact for when you are 16 and want to use her car. "But Mom, it's much safer than walking!"Talk to your doctor, and if necessary, have your doctor explain to your Mom that tampons aren't going to make her precious baby girl sick. I am almost 42 and have never heard of anyone I know even hearing about anyone who got TSS from tampons. It's extremely rare.Use basic hygene and follow the instructions for using them, and tampons will be fine. You know there is a slight risk, but it's slight. If your doctor agrees that tampons are safe for you to use, your Mom can't really object. It is your body after all.Footnotes[1] Toxic Shock Syndrome[2] 4500 Americans are Killed Crossing the Street Each Year

Would guys buy sanitary pads for their girlfriend if she asked?

I have very painful periods. Almost all my body parts right from legs and back to my head and belly, pain like hell. I cry and cry a lot because of that unbearable pain.It had been 10 months since we were dating, his parents were out of town for 3 days so we decided that I will stay at his place. We were watching a movie in the evening and suddenly I felt something. Yes, I started bleeding. I got up and went to the washroom. He was standing outside and asking again and again if I'm okay. I came out and told him that I got my periods and that I need sanitary pads now. “Give me 5 minutes, I will go and buy them for you. Just tell me which one do you use.” he said while changing clothes in hurry.“Whisper”, I replied.“Okay you take rest, I will be back in 5 minutes”,he said kissing my forehead.I was sitting in the floor waiting for him. Pain was growing and I couldn't handle it anymore. I laid on the floor holding my tummy with tears in my eyes.He came with the pads and picked me up ,wiped my tears and took me to the washroom . “Don't lock the door" he said.I nodded.I came out after 5 minutes and I saw him standing there with a hot water bag in his hand. He came to me held my hand and said, “I know it's hurting you badly. Just lay down and let me comfort you.”I was lying on the bed and he was sitting beside me. He gave that hot water bag to me and told me to keep it under my back and was rubbing his hand over my stomach so that I don't feel much pain. The pain started decreasing after sometime.“How do you know about all this?”I asked.“About what?” he replied.“This hot water bag and all", I replied.“Oh that! I read about it. Remember once you told me that have really painful menses . That day I searched on the net about home remedies to cure the pain. This was one of them.”I hugged him saying I love you.Would guys buy sanitary pads for their girlfriends if she asked? Not only they buy pads for their girl, they make sure about her comfort as well.My boyfriend not only buys pads for me but also he remembers my date better than me and he make sure that he stay around me when I am on my periods.

Tips for buying pads? (I live with my dad)?

I also hate buying pads, and I'm almost 20 years old and live with my boyfriend...to be honest, I make him buy them for me a lot of the time.

First of all I think you should bring a big purse with you, so that as soon as you buy them you can shove them in there so your dad doesn't see what you bought. That should eliminate some possible embarrassment.

Another thing would be to go in the store and buy something else you might need, even just a bottle of water or mascara or something. I always feel less awkward in front of the cashier if it doesn't look like I just rushed in there for a period emergency. Chances are you won't see someone you know at the cash register, but even if you do, it's not like they will be shocked or disgusted you are buying them...people would probably be more shocked to learn you don't buy them.

Maybe try going to a different store as well, since by now you are used to feeling nervous in this one. Some have shopping baskets in the doorway, if you grab one of those it makes it harder for people to see what you are buying, that makes me feel better than just holding a pack of pads in my hand. Basically, just get in and get out, shove them in your purse as soon as you buy them so people outside the store don't see them.

If it's any assurance, I used to work in a convenience store and I saw women buy pads and tampons sometimes (not that often, but mind you it wasn't a very busy store), but I didn't even think twice about it. Just ring them through the cash register as normal, say have a nice day, then on to the next customer or back to work. Try to find a female cashier, that makes me more comfortable as well. Half of the population buys pads every month, so the cashiers and shoppers see it often enough, it won't shock them.

Just be brave, good luck!

I ran out of pads and i have school tomorow?

is there a dispenser at ur skewl...in the bathroom or the lockerroom...and if not just say u started that day ande were un preparred...she will give u some.

Is it okay for parents to look through their child's phone to read their text messages and internet history? My parents do this and I’m 13. It makes me uncomfortable.

No. Parents should not go through private settings in a child's phone. Here is the kicker. Most parents think it is their right to surf their child's phone because they pay the bill and it is their home. Have I gone through any of my 4 children's phones? Yes. I'm not happy about this although I think what I found might defuse this argument in some families tonight. I have never read or discovered anything in any of their phones that I didn't already know or that surprised me. My shameless behavior was unnecessary and I knew this each time I did it. What I did was violate my kids privacy and worse breaking the trust we had built in each other. I was never caught but I knew what I had done.If you are a parent thinking of doing what I did, hear me first. Be prepared to find nothing. Unless you are going through the heartbreak of teenage drug use, bullying, pregnancy, drinking etc., you are not going to find anything in that phone that is worth the guilt you will feel. If your child was in trouble you would be doing more than reading text messages, tweets and Facebook posts. Their phone would be the last thing on your mind. Leave the phone alone and sit your child down and start talking! They will let you know just enough to ease your worried mind and your silly curiosity. Let your great kid have the earned privilege of privacy.
