How do I a 'tomboy' become more girly?
I'm 15 and have been a tomboy all of my life.. Simply because my mother was never there for me and had to relie on my father and because i always hung round with my brother and his friends. well now at the age of 15 i want to change. I hate having these little rumors about me being a lesbein.. sure theres nothing wrong with being one.. but the thing is.. i an't one! i love boys! and i hate getting rumors like that going round.. because i can only wonder what those boys are thinking about me now.. well, I have long brown hair. it has lots of layers in it. All layered. I straighten it alll offf theee time! lol I sometimes do put my hair up i use makeup now and again.. i don't want to rely on it thats all. my dress sence has changed dramically. from sports clothing to skinny jeans and fitted tops. I don't always wer jeans. but i have to say i wear them most of the time.. but still.. most of the girly girls i know always wear jeans? i have 1/3 of my friends being male now.. i say dude and man alot. =/ ermm.. idk what else to put so really my question is how can i do more.. not to change myself but to be more girly? if that makes sence :) thanks alot x
GUYS: What's wrong with Tomboys?
Let me tell you a little story. I had a crush on a tomboy. She cut her hair short, she sounded like an adolescent boy, and she had a wushu blackbelt. We were in the same drama team and everytime she came, she wore a t-shirt and sports shorts and she would lean back on the chair and slam her feet on the table. Of course, I remember she came to the prom in an elegant white gown and she turned heads that day as well even though she was dateless. And best part is I wasn't the only guy who was gaga over her then. I can think of a few (including my best friend which is why I stayed away... *sigh*) What am I trying to say? Nothing's wrong with you! From what you've said, you seem like an attractive, adventurous person that some guys would love to have by their side. Just continue being yourself. The guys who chase after mini-skirts are not worth it. Look for those who actually are looking for substance and a lasting relationship. Also, the best part if you know how to dress up at important moments, imagine how much more you'd shine.
Am i a tomboy?
I am a girl that likes to dress like a guy. (black t-shirt with white long-sleeved underneath, jeans and Quiksilver hat) I also have poor manners because I burp and belch all the time and don't say "excuse me". I like brands like Quiksilver, but I'm also very feminine at the same time. I like girly pop music (Potential Breakup Song, Girlfriend) and I am sensitive like a girlish girl. I paint my nails red mostly, sometimes blue or silver though. A lot of my friends and classmates say I'm a tomboy and some say I'm girly! I have no idea what I am. I know it's stupid to label myself and try to give my personality a name, but I just want to know if I'm boyish or girlish. NO RUDE COMMENTS PLEASE. I'll report you. >_< Please answer nicely and wisely!
Is there anything wrong with a girl liking cars, sports, and dancing? but still be girly?
I love Basketball, Soccer, snowboarding and Surfing, I also climb mountains, hike, run, and work out in the gym. I am always active, and somehow I have gotten the reputation of being "a tomboy" (since I also like working and learning about cars...) and being "a lesbian", which I am ABSOLUTELY NOT! it pisses me off, and the more I tell them off, the more "scare" of me the "girls" are. NOT that I care, since I am always surrounded by guys, so...which is cool 4 me, and all, but some stuck up haterz (gurls) seem to hate,and start sh* with me...I don't take crap from no one...but somehow my passion for sports just drives me to ignore all of their @sses! don't matter to me...what is YOUR opinion towards this? After all, I am fit, and toned.....

sounds like she's too young to be dating. there is a fine line between being a tomboy and acting like a sluut. staying at a guy's house for weeks is not a lady-like thing to do. its not even a tomboy thing to do. I am a tomboy. just from what you have said here, i wouldn't consider her a gf. the one she stays with for weeks at a time is the bf. if you don't believe me, see who she gets pregnant by. on the other hand....if you don't have a boyfriend, then you can stay the night or run away with whomever you want. with a boyfriend, you shouldn't be doing that at all unless you want to run your bf off.

I've been a tomboy all my life and I'm not ashamed of it, I'm proud of who I am. I've never really thought much about things like dating and all that. I've always told myself "I'll cross that bridge when I get to it" I don't wanna change and become a girly girl. I want a guy to love me for who I am both inside and outside (cliche much?). My best friends both have boyfriends and I can't help but feel jealous and hurt when I see them all lovey dovey. Both of them are really girly girls and both very pretty. Me? I'm a hard out Asian tomboy who can easily outmatch an average guy when it comes to strength. Geld short hair, jeans, tshirt, chains and rings you wouldn't recognize me as a girl unless you look carefully. I go to an all girls Private School so I have no interaction with guys. My parents are worried that I'll never get a boyfriend and I'll bring home a girlfriend instead. First off, I'm not Lis or Bi I'm perfectly straight. I don't think guys know this though. Even my parents have lost faith in me. Am I doomed to be single forever? Guys do you not date tomboys because it makes you feel like your dating another guy?
