Do You Think I Will Get Fat From Eating Only Twice A Day

If I was to eat twice a day, what time should I not miss out of the three times? why?

This week, I started eating this way so I feel qualified to contribute.I used to eat 3 meals each day (Breakfast 8:45–9:00 AM; lunch 12:30–12:45 pm; dinner 8:00 pm). As I entered into my forties last year, gradually I started to notice that I am taking longer to digest my food.Eventually I reached a point this month where I would feel bloated most times of the day.I have been reading several interesting answers here on Quora talking about intermittent fasting and eating only once each day (one of my favorite authors on this is Subra Velu ).And this week, finally I got curious and wanted to try it out. I honestly assessed myself and once in 24 hour eating is not for me. So I decided to try eating only twice each day.So my meals are like this:8:45AM-9:00AM - Heavy breakfast. (I just increased my regular breakfast by about 30%).No other eating during the day.6:45PM - Heavy dinner. (Since I sleep around 10:00 PM, this gives me adequate time to relax after dinner. I might have a piece of chocolate for dessert at 9:00 PM)In the past 2 days, I have:Felt very relaxed with my stomach. No bloating or farting during the day.I feel pretty active - no sluggishness or lack of energy during the day. There is more than enough time for each meal to fully digest and I feel really hungry for my next meal and fully enjoy eating it.I do not feel exhausted during my exercise time6:00 AM - 6:45 AM - Riding my bicycle for 14kms. (I do consume 1 scoop of WHEY Protein with 200ml milk immediately after my bike ride)7:40 AM - 8:30 AM - strength training in the GymThe average gap between my mealtimes are 9 hours (day) and 15 hours (night). Looks like I am going to stick to this plan and see how my body responds over a longer period.

Will I get fat if I eat two times a day instead of three times?

I eat 5 times a day and I’m not getting fat. Its because, I am careful about what I eat. I avoid processed food, oily and artificially sweetened foods. I do proper exercise to make sure the diet I have is digested properly. Its not just about how much you eat. It depends upon a number of factors such as:Nutrient Composition of Food: It matters a lot what you eat in as food, your fat content, protein content counts.Drinking frequency: You need to make sure you have enough water at proper intervals and keep your body hydrated. But if you drink water just after having food, it affects your system badly.Sleeping habits: You need to manage how much you sleep as it is also a factor concerning obesity. You should not sleep at least 3 hours after having food.Happy dieting!

How does eating only twice a day help one lose weight?

Q: How does eating only twice a day help one lose weight? It’s a bit more complicated than that, but on a basic level, having a long gap between eating *anything* (not just meals, this means snacks, sugar in your coffee, fruit) - anything that creates an insulin response - is beneficial to health and weight loss. It may not be the only factor, but it is an important one.The reason is insulin is the body’s hormone that regulates things like storing fat, and when insulin levels are high, your body cannot access the stored fat. And when you’ve eaten, insulin is high. To put it very simply, insulin puts your body in fat storage mode, and prevents fat burn mode.Eating less often gives the body time to process the food that’s been eaten and lower insulin, once that happens the body is able to access the stored fat to burn it.For some people, having a 12–16 hour gap between meals can be enough to facilitate weight loss. Here is a good resource that delves deeper into the science and biology of intermittent, short-term, and long-term fasting. https://idmprogram.com/tag/fasting/All the best.

Eating once a day and gained weight?

Your body is in starvation mode, holding on to every morsel! You could get granola bars, peice of fruit or make smoothies for breakfast that you can eat once you have gotten up, showered and dressed as you are running out the door or while you are traveling to work. The other two jobs, even if you have 4 hour shifts they are legally required to give you a 15 minute break, at the restaurant they should let you order something and then break when it's up or you could take something keeping in a cold sack. There are ways to eat, even with a couple minutes if you want to be healthier and lose weight.

Will eating McDonalds once make me gain weight?

Recently I have been eating healthy and working out everyday (past 3 months). I try to eat well all the time but today I had a cheese burger and a small fry from McDonald's. I was wondering if this will make me gain weight or lose some of the muscle definition that I currently have.

Why am I gaining weight if I eat once a day?

This is a common misconception in the "diet" world.

Eating less doesn't necessarily mean you will lose weight. Your body is used to having a base calorie rate and, when you cut back on your intake, your body begins to think it is starving and thus begins to store any excess charbs, proteins, and fats that you intake as fat for later use. Its a protective response.

In addition, when you eat only once a day, you metabolism works very slowly to ensure that one meal will yield enough energy for the entire day.

You should eat 4-5 SMALL meals /day. This will increase your metabolism because your body will know that another meal will soon follow, and thus it will burn everything you eat. These meals should of course be healthy. Even if you eat a bigger lunch, if you keep up this habit you should be able to maintain the weight you want.

I forgot exercise....you should definitely incorporate exercise.
