Help, how can I pay a ticket without my parents knowing?
First, are you under 18? If so, just about every jurisdiction in the US will require that you appear in court with a parent or legal guardian. No way around that. Second, are you on your parents' insurance? If so, they'll know something is up when their premiums increase. Third, do you live with your parents? If so, then unless you are the first one to get to the mail every single day, there's always going to be the chance they'll find out. Even if you just pay the fine, there's a very good bet the court will be sending you information and/or notices. And you'll have no idea when those items will be on their way. DMV may also be sending you something. In a nutshell, you're WAY better off fessing up to your folks right now.

Me and my bf were sitting in my car parked on the street in the passenger seat and I was sitting on his lap. My lights were on and a police came up to my window and thought we were having sex ( we weren't). He said that he had been getting complaints. He told me to go home but my bf got out (we were right by his house) and both cops talked to him and took his ID card. He asked my name, but didn't ask for my license or registration or anything. He may have gotten the license plate number but I'm not sure. Will we get in trouble?

Do police officers even realize just how much they ruin peoples lives?
Have you ever heard of accepting responsibility for your own actions. This Country would be a much better place of people stopped whining about how the Police "ruined" their lives. Did the police force you to speed? Did you know that speeding is against the law. Every choice has related consequences. If you CHOOSE to violate the law, you must understand that you could be arrested or cited for that violation. Unless you live in Washington or Colorado, possession of marihauna is illegal. You may not like that law, but it is the LAW. So, if you intentionally and knowingly violate it, and then get caught, how is that the Police's fault? The fact that someone commits a crime, no matter how minor, is a matter of their individual choice. If you don't get caught, nothing happens. If you do, you will be arrested and charged. You KNEW IT WAS A CRIME. That is your Responsibility, not that of the Police. The police get paid to enforce the law. The laws are made by government to answer the needs and desires of the MAJORIITY of the population. And the Police only arrest violators. The Courts must decide whether that person is gulty or innocent. I have been a Police officer for over 40 years. I have arrested people for almost every crime there is. I have put Murderers in Death Row, but I have also arrested people for possession of marihauna. When I was in patrol I wrote speeding tickets and arrested drunk drivers. No matter what, I was not HARRASSING anyone. I was doing my job. The people who chose to break the law made that choice all on their own.

There is an unwritten professional courtesy, and an officer will normally have a higher tolerance for other officers for minor violations. There is no guarantee you won't get a ticket, but you will usually get extra consideration.
Got a speeding citation today, will my parents find out?
When you get a ticket the police officer will give you a copy of the ticket that you signed. but they also send you all the ticket information in the mail. That is what they do in CA at least. I know this because I have gotten plenty of tickets =] As for the insurance... my insurance never increased surprisingly but my insurance did know about the ticket. sometimes insurance companies are understanding with the first ticket.
