Why do fashion companies use models to advertise their products?
You get a better idea of what an outfit will look like on if you see it on a person rather than just on a hanger or layed out flat. It shows off the shape of the clothes the way they were meant to be seen. You only get the whole picture if you see the clothes on a person... And no, they don't only use tiny little anorexic models for all clothes. If the clothing was made for smaller people they will but there are all shapes and sizes of models based on who they are aiming the product line towards. There's something for everyone.
Magazine advertisements send unhealthy signals to young women.?
I think people over rate the power of media and also misrepresent how advertising behaves. The signal advertising tries to send is: "buy my product" Advertising doesn't have this underling social agenda some people claim it does. Advertisers, simply wish to sell their product or service and they will use what ever tools help them. Since people are attracted to beauty and sexuality, they will use beautiful, sexy women to associate with their product when it suits them. Advertisers also use attractive men, attractive animals and attractive scenery. Advertising also usually portrays people who are fit, height/weight proportionate and healthy. I don't see why that's such a bad signal. Given that 2/3 of the population is overweight, it's certainly not having the huge influence some claim. ~

ok so i need a little help with my sexuality. i am fourteen and have always been attracted to guys. i have had a few boyfriends and enjoyed every minute of it. but im a little confused. i have never been attracted to another girl and i can never see myself being with one; but i do find some girls attractive. i mean i dont thin ktheir hot or sexy or anything. but i think some girls are pretty. does that mean i am a lesbian or bi? or is this normal? and i dont mean being gay isnt "normal" its just the only way i could put it. please help :] thanks

My theory would be it is purely to get wider spread audience who now are nerdy, and relatively use their brain more than average Americans to make choices for their lives.Sex industry is the worst thing happened to humans. Humans want to be as independent as possible. They can stop drinking alchohol, craving for meat, housing, clothes, and sexual partner. One thing they can't let go is their sexual need, which doesn't require a physical partner. So, the sex industry caters to them, by reverse psychology. Basically, they do as much or more damage to them, by artificially satisfy their sexual need, in line with their desire to be emancipated from a life-long partner. This is why sexually active people with no long-term partners are cold blooded.It also kills the concept of commune and group, as it guarantees non-exlusive on-demand availability of sexual satisfaction.
When women (here, in India) want to be treated equally irrespective of their skin color and looks, why do they promote heavily and use so many skin whitening creams and other beauty products?
First of all, let me make you clear that beauty creams promo here in India is not only for women, now a days beauty products for mens too have promos on Indian Television. So equality prevails here. And secondly, if you will see outside India there also you will find girls promoting beauty creams and let me make you clear that in India many of beauty products are imported which clearly specifies that in foreign also these products are used and every company will advertise its products and obviously if that product is for girl than girl will promo and if that product is for boy than he will promo. For Example, you cannot hire a boy to promo bikini advertising similarly for girls beauty cream you cannot hire a boy.At the end, I think it is clear to you that in India too equality prevails because fairness creams and face wash promo are here for both she and he.
