Do You Think It Is Strange That I Can Not Do This On My Own

I am absent in my own dreams, is this strange?

I am absent in my own dreams.

When I fall asleep and dream, I do not interact directly with the characters in my dreams. It is sort of like being an audience in a play, the characters do not notice me, and I can watch and listen to them as they move through a story (sometimes I can even watch more than one group of characters at a time).

Often I am conscious that the story changes because of me; I will think of an interesting direction and the plot will start to reflect it (or the story may just change).

I am wondering if anyone else has dreams in which they are simply an audience?
Is anything dreaming like this suggests?
How do you interpret a dream you are not in?

Do you think it's strange or that something must be wrong with a woman when you meet a single woman in her thirties who has never been married or had kids?

Some women are really picky and have a hard time finding a quality man to date. It may not be a reflection of her, but of single life in general. You may have heard the phrase, “The good ones are already taken.” Sometimes the dating pool is full of losers. But it could also be that she focused on her career in her twenties and getting where she wanted to be financially. You know, climbing the corporate ladder to success. Now that she is in her thirties, maybe she is ready to settle down and start a family. She could also be a very shy and introverted person who has a hard time meeting people and socializing. But that doesn’t make her a bad person. It just takes a little patience and someone who can make her feel comfortable enough to come out of her shell.I don’t think it is a good idea to judge her solely on her age and lack of a serious relationship. If you think she is attractive, talk to her and find out if she is someone worth getting to know. She may surprise you.

Do you find it strange that the only thing God can't do is show himself to be real?

I find it strange that human minds, the same minds that cannot remember what they did a year ago on this day, and don't know what will happen tomorrow, who don't know where they were before they were born or where they will go when they take their last breath, and who cannot seem to fathom a way to control their own egos, actually have the idea that they  have figured out something so incomprehensible without even trying.   They are then fully content enough with those assumptions, to go on to challenge those same assumptions as if trying to disprove them. Its funny really. There are some things that require more personal effort than just to sit and ponder information others have tossed out. If one wants to make the effort to apply themselves to truly beginning to comprehend what that power may be, *they may come to find out that if one cannot see what is right in front of their face, its not the problem of that thing, rather, the fault lies in the person's inability to see.*    But human beings take great delight in being champions for their own sense of limitation.  It seems perceived limitations are the first thing they learn to adapt to.  I would challenge your original assumption.  That way, the second problem magically disappears.  If a person is deaf and blind, they won't believe there is a person right next to them playing the piano.  People need to wake up and see what's there, and quit making up stories.

What are some things you consider strange about your own country?

Hopefully it's OK to get it started by answering my own question.  I'm from the USA.  Here's a few things that come to mind:- In restaurants I'm given lots of ice in my water, even in winter, even though I didn't ask for it.  If I order water, why don't I just get water?  I've never understood this.- The obsession with soda/pop/coke.  Everyone knows it's terrible for health, but some people drink it daily like it's normal.  Also it's so sweet as to be nearly undrinkable.  I suppose people get used to it or develop a taste for it.- Homeowner's associations for single family homes.  Why someone would want to pay someone else to tell them what they can't do with their own home is beyond me.  Freedom is paid a lot of lip service here, but when it comes down to it, not everyone seems to want that much of it.- The political left/right divide.  The perception I have, at least through our media, is that everyone falls into one of those camps, and has very strong convictions about what they believe.  It seems you have to hate the "other" party.  Little attention seems to be given to calm rational discussion of issues.  Also third parties get nowhere.  The term "third party" seems strange to me, as if it's normal to have only two parties.- The typical weight of people.  After 30+ years of living here you'd think I'd be used to it but it's still shocking.  I'm sympathetic to people that have genetic or glandular issues that make them gain weight, but it seems so many people just don't care.- The high level of religiousness.  The United States is a very developed country, and a leader in science and new technologies, yet the majority of people take religion pretty seriously, many of whom believe that the myths in their religion actually happened.

Do you have strange hobbies ? or any hobbies at all ?

I simply adore arts and crafts. I have tried patchwork and quilting, cross stitch, crochet, knitting, quilling, stained glass ... I love to make things for my home and I have stuff hanging everywhere. Frames, curtains on the bathroom windows, a bed spread, stuff hanging on the walls, tons of sweaters for my daughter which I design myself, I even painted on my windows! The problem I face is not finding the proper supplies in Egypt, so I have to a3'zil birigl 7omar! lol

Aside from that, I love reading. I had been suffering from depression for years and had quit reading till a friend recently helped me get out of my mood and resume reading once again. I have read a lot recently, having just finished Samarkand by Ma3loof and started The map of love by Soueif. The problem is the huge bill I have to pay for books every month! ;)

Why is it considered so "strange" for a person to not want pets?

I have no problem with fish or reptiles. They don't shed fur everywhere, they don't keep you up at night, they don't chew, scratch, etc. I have lived on my own for years now, and even though I grew up around animals and actually love dogs, I don't want any pets. Because, I am VERY particular. I like my home very clean, I like not worrying that my belongings are going to be scratched, knocked off tables/broken, chewed up, accidents on carpet or furniture, etc. And I have been just fine without a pet for years. Yet people will tell me "you need a pet." Or things like "I know of this absolutely sweet cat you need to adopt. I can see you with a cat" (which is funny because I don't really like cats.) And when I tell them "Thanks. I like animals, but I do not want one right now." They look at me like I'm an alien. Even my own parents, who know the obsessive perfectionist I am were egging me on to get an animal for awhile before they finally gave up. They even went as far as to call it a "milestone in adulthood." Excuse me? It's an animal. Not marriage or children. And even those things are optional and not something that's required as an adult. The way I see it getting a job, taking care of yourself, your home, and your finances are the only responsibilities you should feel required to have. Why is this that people feel I need to be responsible for another living thing? Is it so strange I prefer taking care of myself, my plants, and my home and leaving it at that?

Do you think rats are weird pets? Since i own one does that make me weird?

Ratties are the sweetest ,most lovable and most misunderstood pet I know of in the pet world. I think you are a wonderful person if you own a rattie! Anyone can be a dog, fish, cat, hamster owner...but a Rattie owner is the very best of all! Did you know that ratties are angels in disguise sent here to stay for as long as they can hold their breath? Most ratties that is 2-3 years! I have had some real angels over the years! Congratulations, you chose the best because you are the best...a RATTIE owner! They say Ratties are like potato chips..you can't just have one!

What's the matter if I'm dating my own little sister?

She's got severe nervous breakdown when found out her boyfriend cheating on her... and she's been acting strange lately. Now she asks me to have date with her... My girlfriend also knows about her problem and support me to make her return normal again...
Sometimes, some people can't understand my situation and just bad-mouthing us in our back...

Luckily, I have a very nice and understanding girlfriend who accepts us just the way we are...(our parents have both passed away long time ago and I'm just living together with my sister in our small flat...)

(I'm 20, my sister is 19, and my girlfriend is 18 years old.)

In Avengers: Infinity War, if the Ancient One could not see beyond her future, assuming she used the Eye of Agamotto, does it not follow that Doctor Strange could only see futures up to his death?

Well there's two answers that come to mind. One is that the Ancient One simply chose not to see past her death. I don't remember her exact wording in Doctor Strange though, so I don't know how explicit she was - but it could simply be that she didn't use the Time Stone as much as Strange has, so she didn't has a good control with it because she's not arrogant enough to assume she can handle an Infinity Stone. The other possibility is that, even if Strange is dead now, he will come back to life later. So he was able to see the sequence of events leading to his death, and he could see the single version of events that caused him to come back to life.
